Shame that it's gone, but getting overleveled early really did screw with the balance for a quarter of the game. As the monsters were still the same as they are when you go there much, much later, and through careful play you can just barely manage to kill them and gain 20-30 levels, lol.
Agreed! The Matilda Gate glitch added a whole lot of fun to the game. Getting Humphrey and Futch early is awesome too. Sure it messed with the games balance, but when you're on your who knows what playthrough, balance isn't an issue. At that point you're just playing to relive the story and the fun. That said, I'll be happy to play through a few times without using the glitch, but then I'll start missing it and I'll want it back.

But after a few playthroughs I'm going to want to play with the glitch again and I'll start missing it. Recipe bug was confirmed to be fixed in the interview. Some quick context on the localisation for Suikoden 2. It’s a mess, because it was delivered to the localisation team in a mess. The script was given to then IN CODE with no context on who was talking, where it was or when it was. The only solution the localisers had? Play the game over and over and pick up the puzzle pieces.
And then came the french & germans translations with people who have issues understanding the english script which gave out some literal translations, like the “don't die on me“ dialogue at the start of the game.
Always asking to change formation whenever someone joins your party would be nice in Suikoden I like in Suikoden II. No more Lepant/Kuromimi in backrow.
That is an essential change, and one I hope they implement. It was always annoying how short range fighters would be forced into the back row of your party and be useless for the upcoming fight.
Richmond not smoking is a bit lame, it suits his character style and theme. Bah! Also wish they removed the timer as I never have the desire to rush through S2, though I bet it has an achievement attached to it xD
Yeha it's a bit of a silly change, it was part of his character. But hey, it's not exactly a big deal. I'd rather it's something minor like that than something meaningful. Even with the battle speed options, I still don't see myself bothering with the Clive quest. I don't care if I've played it a hundred times before, I don't want to rush the game.
He could've been talking about Stallion, but he may also have been talking about Holy Runes in general. It seems you can now run without the use of a Holy Rune, so they may have repurposed its use.
Wish the Clive quest timer was increased by say 5-10 hours. I can't imagine they playtested it yet, otherwise they would have changed it up. If they don't include the NG+ options *cough cough* then it wouldn't make any sense to keep it the way it is.
Yeah it's virtually impossible for a first timer to finish the Clive quest. Timing starts getting really tight when you get to lakeWest. Heck, Play the game over a dozen times and knew exactly what to do and still missed out on it the last time I played because I was playing casually and thought I would have plenty of time.
Same. That quest timer needs an increase. It's something a lot of people are not going to be able to complete. The timer is too restrictive on people who want to pace themselves and enjoy being absorbed into the world and the story. NG+ would certainly help ease the problem too.
I'm not sure. Someone using a glitch in a single player game shouldn't be of any concern to anyone, it doesn't hinder their enjoyment in any way. I'll enjoy playing a few times without the glitch, but then I'll start missing it because it's a fun thing to do after you've played it countless times.
It's the damn Dark Souls mentality, if you're not playing the game with the most hardships then you're not having fun. Personally I don't used the Glitch on all my runs because it becoming boring, but at the same time it's also fun to be extremely OP at that part of the game.
The matilda glitch makes Suikoden 2 special, it's one the rare moments in your gameplay during our child that you felt good and specail when finding this unique features with no one is telling you and just randomly finding it , so every time you play similar jrpg you'll be checking every corner hoping to find this type of glitches.
Yes, it would be great but I don't know how they'd do with the 3d and cell shading of the next opus. And the 4 would be awesome with speeding options, since the rithm was his biggest flaw
Holy Moly! I never knew about a Saturn version let alone PSP ports of these games. Must of been a japan only release? I hope Sega give us this same treatment with the Persona, Persona 2 Innocent Sin & Eternal Punishment
I used the Matilda Gate Glitch a lot, it was a fun thing to do after playing the game a hundred times. I understand why the glitch is gone, but many people will miss it.
@@CulganValya Yeah, getting some early level grinds + Humphrey and Futch early recruit will be missed. The only struggle there was walking around the fields not dying. 🤣
Diff Clive's quest timer, I really like him as a character even keep him around during the final battle. Here's hoping there's no Trophy connected to doing it.
No word yet on the earth rune spells from Suikoden 1. They appear aware of the bugs and issues in the games and have spent a lot of time bug fixing. The only bug they've specifically addressed so far is the Recipe bug, but as it's built on the PSP ports, anything that was fixed in that port should also be fixed here.
They've made no mention of the cut content, or a difficulty option. I highly doubt the cut content will be restored. I'd safely say that's not happening. As for difficulty options, there's still hope. They are withholding some information until closer to release as evident by their answer about overworld travel speed. They need to save some information and reveals for the coming months to keep the hype and excitement going.
I'm disappointed in not a better balance in terms of combat and the time limit involving clives side quest I have never actually done it my self 😅cuz between 1 an 2 there are some difficulty spikes that r annoying and than there's a lot of it being to easy
What about getting L. C. Chan early in Rockaxe using Matilda “glitch” they have a dialogue and scenes for it and everything we just never see them again or?
This interview also confirms that the difficulty will be the same as the original. Well, now the way is to modify at least the game's bosses since everything is extremely easy.
They made no mention specifically of difficulty itself, only that character balance was untouched. There's still a possibility that difficulty options may be announced later as they are holding some information back for later announcements.
Imagine a version with Saturn's content, no downgrade of the levels of S1 heroes in S2 since they have already leveled up, the bugs resolved but not the glitches, and translated versions of the Suikogaidens included.
hmmm i dont remember if the rune-piece glitch was fixed in the psp version im hoping they dont fix that i really like that glitch it makes alot of characters way more useful if you spend a little bit of time
@@CulganValya yea thats fair, i just checked suikosource they make no mention of it being fixed either. i honestly hope its not fixed i personally love using it with quincy because it allows me to give him more spells so he could be in the back row n utilize a lightning/thunder rune
I never knew the Saturn version added extra stuff. I played the PSX version, was my first RPG ever and I love this game. Hoping to do yet another replay when this comes out. Hope it isn't buggy or riddled with issues. This is a perfect game.
The Saturn version had different minigames, an arena mode minigame where you could win silver armour and a darkness rune, which weren't in the ps1 version, a pet cat tamagotchi minigame, an extra scene involving the pirates and them kidnapping women you've recruited, each one had unique dialogue, and a bonus scene with Gremio.
I would only used the Matilda glitch after the main characters got their true runes. It was a nice opportunity to see the black sword rune for an extended period of time & Jowy’s level 4 power can be unlocked early (as in a normal play through you’d only see used it on Gorudo) so I’ll definitely miss it. I really wish that was the one glitch they left alone. So many players love it for a variety of reasons so I know it will be missed. Also not mad they left Clive’s quest alone. It’s completely doable & one can still get all the collectibles & complete everything else along with doing his quest. I’ve completed it a few times & I like that its still going to be a challenge to do it within the 20hr time limit, removing the timer completely or adding more time to it, I feel, makes it less of a challenge.
The problem that I have with Clive's quest timer is that I don't like to rush the game. Yes, most can still be doable, but if I want to play the game I want to enjoy it, not to rush it. Yeah, you complete the challenge once, and then there is no use for it anymore, aside from bragging rights. Every other 99% of times you play the game normally means you will always miss Clive's quest ending.
@@SeventhheavenDK Ive been able to complete his quest & not rush it & able to enjoy the game still (hunting for drops, hai yo’s cook offs, etc, all that). Challenges are s’pose to be somewhat challenging or they’re not a challenge. If they want to remove the time limit i think it should be an option when you start the game for ppl who claim they can’t enjoy the game doing his quest. But for ppl who like challenges (because Suikoden isn’t the hardest game) the option should be there.
there was also a endless money bug in sui1 when playing the dice game and a money glitch in the armor shop when buying at your castle. did they fix that too? that lv 99 thing was cool in 2 but in 1 it was difficult to level the hero to lv 99 in 2 was it easy and what about that stat boost bug? that was a big thing i used it much in the hardcore mod
I'm not sure what bugs they've fixed. The dice game wasn't a bug, just an easily abusable design that allowed you to carry over your winnings. They didn't mention anything specifically except the recipe bug. But since its based on the PSP ports, anything that was fixed in those should also be fixed in the remaster.
Battle speed wasn't the issue with clive's story. The issue is if you wanted to stop and do anything extra you are punished for it. Dont bother visiting Tir until its done, dont bother with minigames until its done, dont bother farming for double beat runes or fury runes at all, and hell even some back tracking for stars of destiny can be a time killer if you dont know what you are doing. Battle speed does not fix the issue that this story arch requires two to three replays to enjoy. One for casual play and understanding, two for a completionist run(making your character OP with double beat/fury, capping, finding everything, etc), and three for the actual clive story completion. Pretty sure this is intentional as they want multiple replays of this title with its various endings. Ultimately, Clive's story will be out of grasp for most if not all casual/new players of the game on their first play of Suikoden 2, but the combat speed adjuster will only help when they decide to actually achieve it. Ultimately, I think this is still fine. I think newer players should probably do multiple plays of Suikoden 2 to see it's overall depth, it's amazing for it's time period.
I hope they ad enemy drops for fire lightning and earth rune pieces in Suikoden 1. (Earth rune pieces are actually wind rune pieces and needs to be fixed). For a completionist that’s a big deal to min max your characters. Suikoden 2 the only issue I have is that there’s no enemy drop for the cyclone rune. To my understanding it was meant to drop from the mage enemy’s in tenzan pass but the development time was up.. anyone else who thought about this?
It'd be nice if they increased the drop rates on those rune pieces, they take far too long to get. The Cyclone Rune was dropped by Chimera enemies in Tenzan Pass, but the Chimera was disabled in the spawn list for some reason.
When they say they didn't touch balancing makes me think they might have gutted the 3 difficulty modes they worked on for the leaked version of a couple of years ago. If so, that's such a shame. The game feels lacking of real reasons to actually invest time into playing their actual systems, a Hard Mode would've soft fixed this issue for fans who wanted to dive deep. Still finger crossed they might change their mind.
The balancing comments were more about the characters stats, they remain untouched. It's still possible they may add difficulty options and are holding back the announcement for a later date. Fingers crossed. A lot of people want a hard mode, hopefully they listen.
They really revamped the graphics and effects with scenery, I think you should definitely pick it up. I was debating this as well but I'm a diehard Suikoden 1&2 fan. I just gotta do it, for the memories, man.
@GenesisRockwell after how many games I've watched fall far short I won't get hopes up regardless what franchise it is at this point. Watched eiyuden chronicle hundred heroes get all the hype to release bad and even now seeing people complaining about performance and such.
@@windbornideas1457 There's a small possibility that they might if people are vocal enough, it's just not likely to happen. A talented group of modders might be our best bet for the cut content being restored.
Too bad that the Matilda Glitch will be removed. Well.. as long as I will still have the "Cook off" With Hai Yo, all is good, since hunting for cooking recipes was always a nice thing to do in the game.
@@CulganValya I'd be more hopeful to one day commission someone on Upwork or Guru to transplant it into the PSX original, but suffice to say, even that is a big if. (If anyone reading this wants to try, I'd be more than happy to discuss such a thing.)
The Matilda Gate glitch fix is a bit of a bummer. But what I really want is for there to be a way to get up those f@cken stairs in The Great Forest Village.
The Matilda Glitch will surely be modded on day one, but adding the Saturn stuff will definitely be difficult. It's much easier to change things when modding than adding new stuff...
i'm worried about a revision of the translation either way, I know what people in that profession are like these days, and I certainly don't want say, Nanami to start sounding like goddamn Eiyuden Lian...
Well French translation was great, but incomplete for S2 (A whole dialogue with Victor was in english), and for S1, I've heard there is a French version, but so hard to find that they retranslated from the start on Romstation.
The translation isn't "fixed", it's just different. The little they've shown so far has a surprising amount of errors in it already that points to sloppy work as terminology is inconsistent, punctuation is all over the place, weird abbreviations despite the extra space etc. And we can see that some of the translations they've shown are quite poor, Leknaat's "You must choose what is right." line is nonsense and Viktor's in Kyaro misses a running gag. If you then look at what came out from the leak... oh, boy are we in for disappointment. Some things are fixed, some are the same, and others have been changed for no discernable reason. If you look at Gensopedia, which has apparently datamined the leak, you'll see that names have changed that were not incorrect to start with, like Grenseal is now Glenshiel but Mazus is still Mazus even though he's named after a real life person called Mathers.
just the clive quest really, as you cant collect everything you would like and do the quest well unless you have it all planned i guess. ive never seen the S1 stuff before so wont bother me to much but, would have been nice if they had added that secret dungeon to S2 though that was never finished, hope clives quest isnt a trophy that would be annoying if it is, did they fix the transfer of S1 to S2? as im sure not all that worked correctly either, why isnt tai ho (pretty sure he isnt) for example not upgraded like all the other characters do, sad on the M glitch but oh well, hope the farm and recipe bugs are fixed.
Unfortunately I think Clive's quest might be a trophy / achievement. It's the ideal type of thing for a secret achievement. Ths Saturn content was fun, and the cut S2 content was pretty good too. It's a shame we don't get any of it in the remaster. The save transfer bug was only in the North American release, it was fixed in the European release, and it wasn't in the psp ports either. It shouldn't be an issue in the remaster.
@@CulganValya nice to know didn't know it was an american thing... as i live in the EU only reason i always played the USA versions was because of suikoden 3 transfers as S3 wasn't in Europe in them days (yeah ps3 nowadays) although wasn't really that important and i don't bother to play emulators, probs why i wont get to play the saturn extras of 1, will be alittle sad about Matilda glitch as Humphrey is one of my faves ... haha
I think it's complete bs we're not going to have the definitive Suikoden 1 and 2 release by them not including the Saturn content to it. I don't care if it's from the PSP include the additional content tf? I never knew there was a Saturn version. Man, I was really hoping they would get rid of the Clive timer so I can chill and relax and take my time playing the game. They could of done something else, make him difficult to get anything but that timer crap. They probably not gonna do squat about the place by Sajah. Just what are they thinking??? It's probably a budget thing and those decrepit fossil azzholes at Konami limiting the staff on what they can and can't do. Just leave the damn cigarette thing alone and get a higher rating... I worry just who is translating this to be more in line with the Japanese translation since as usual they didn't give ANY specifics and if it's going to be the whole Eiyuden Chronicle bs again with some DEI b!tch doing it as I'm also still waiting for that game to stop with the updates so I can play it in its final version. Here's Culgan's video about what we're going to miss out from the Saturn content. watch?v=VxVNZlszjxc
I wonder if they would add Suikoden V's entourage system. Where you can move forced party members into "convoy" if you would rather bring someone else into battle party. This reminds me when you're forced to bring Viktor and Flik at the end of Suikoden I so you can only choose 3 more people on your own. Being able to carry money over 999999 would be excellent idea which was first implemented in Suikoden IV.
Agreed, some kind of convoy system would be great as Suikoden 1 was really bad for constantly forcing multiple characters into your party. It really limited the player in who they could bring.
@@CulganValya moreover, characters that are NOT forced into party never speaks at all in Suikoden I during some story events, even if they may be related. Such as Cleo/Pahn when I brought her to Seek Valley and watched Ted's death. Or Flik when brought him to Warriors' Village which is HIS hometown. At least Flik could encourage Hix when he was hesitant. At least they do in Suikoden II.
They'd likely have gotten a PEGI 16+ rating in Europe for imagery of tobacco or smoking. Rules and laws around smoking are quite strict in Europe. Also the TESRI rating board, which provides ratings for Taiwan, Hong Kong and South East Asia would've rated the game 15+ for depictions of smoking.
@@CulganValya I think it makes more sense with modern games that have super realistic graphics, but those are just some little pixels... I'm ok with the character picture. But the ashtray in the table is so sad. Funny that they are fine with Luca killing pigs.
i don’t understand this mentality. some people like to break the game balance and if you don’t, then it sounds like it was never an issue for you since you only used it twice out of 50 times.
Well I hope Konami would remove the animals as a playable characters and just made them summons for the game and insert the characters with portraits as a permanent playable characters (ex. Like the girl in a small village where you will recruit Tir Mcdohl as a guest/termporary character) 😁.
I'm not even slightly disappointed by anything. The Matilda gate glitch was game and sequence breaking and therefore, stupid. I couldn't care less about the Saturn content as I never played that version and thus I don't care, I'm not missing out on anything because it's the PS1 game i'm nostalgic for, and I don't give a damn if they removed the Clive timer because I want the game accurate to the release. I only want UNintended bugs fixed, I don't want anything changed or altered that was SUPPOSED to be there. I want the remaster working as intended, I don't want to be coddled or condescended to by the game, I want it as I remember it with an experience as the DEVS intended, I don't need or want my or the fanbase's entitlement caved to. They're only fixing what's wrong, and not fixing what isn't broken. That's exactly what I want from this.
I recommend checking out the differences to the SEGA saturn version, just so you understand why some fans are upset about them not restoring/including it.
its just to important of a moment at the climax of the story to remove them. the olny option would be to make it characters that also appear in s2 but at the time of s1 they prob didn;t even know they would make a second game.
@@wesleysmith5275 i mean they can still do it with much like the extra party members like suikoden 5 did, but then again thats probably too much for suikoden 1 standards
Translation explination gives some relief, I hate how the drama with Eiyuden translation held it back so needlessly. Wasn't even that bad. Hoping it's a huge success and revives the series as it still remains my top favorite IP.
@@wesleysmith5275 gender phobia trash discussion cuz the japanese staff didn't watch the localizer work when it was running. It caused unnecessary conflicts in hindsight.

7:10 I'm certain he just meant Stallion, he just didn't want to spoil it in an interview. :)
Me too.
He could've been talking about Stallion, but he may also have been talking about Holy Runes in general. It seems you can now run without the use of a Holy Rune, so they may have repurposed its use.
Saddd.. the Clive's should be made cannon in the gameplay. Thats something new that cud be offer to veteran like us😢
I hope that there is a post game where we can just continue revisiting places and refight bosses and the choice to restart the game.
Or Clive quest is based on story progression instead of in-game time.
At least NG+ is implemented from Suiko 4 onward, even Suikoden Card Stories.
Not to mention in Suiko 4 onward, you can hold money over 999999 potch.
Same. That quest timer needs an increase. It's something a lot of people are not going to be able to complete. The timer is too restrictive on people who want to pace themselves and enjoy being absorbed into the world and the story.
NG+ would certainly help ease the problem too.
Why are some people happy about the removal of the Matilda glitch? If you dont want to use it dont. But why be happy that others cannot use it?
Eh I'm indifferent with the Matilda glitch not coming to the remaster. It is what it is
I'm not sure.
It is such a nice easter egg. So now, unlike Suikoden 1 which has the fortune/prosperity rune easter egg. Suikoden 2 has none.
The matilda glitch makes Suikoden 2 special, it's one the rare moments in your gameplay during our child that you felt good and specail when finding this unique features with no one is telling you and just randomly finding it , so every time you play similar jrpg you'll be checking every corner hoping to find this type of glitches.
So sad about the missing Saturn content
Same, it would've been a nice addition, but it's not a big deal.
If it sells really well I hope that encourages them to remaster 3, 4, tactics, and 5.
Honestly, 5 is the one I want the most. I never got the chance to play it.
@@TheCFKane1982it's the second best
Yes, it would be great but I don't know how they'd do with the 3d and cell shading of the next opus. And the 4 would be awesome with speeding options, since the rithm was his biggest flaw
Me too. I'd love to see the whole series get remastered.
Holy Moly! I never knew about a Saturn version let alone PSP ports of these games. Must of been a japan only release? I hope Sega give us this same treatment with the Persona, Persona 2 Innocent Sin & Eternal Punishment
Only tried the Matilda Glitch after a lot of playthroughs. Also did the rune piece glitch, and the level 99 using that one rune. Glad they fixed that.
I'd wager less than a week, tops, before someone makes a mod to put it back in the PC version
They never mentioned about the black and white intro after you jump in the cliff or it is automatically coloured?
I hope they don't forgot about it and stays the same, that it is colored if you defeat 108 soldiers before the scene.
@@mondruner I hope so but I always take 111 battles before yes to jump hahahaha
It's based on the PSP port, so it should still require 108 battles. Unless they've quietly changed that without telling us.
I hope they fix Jowy portrait, new is horrendous. 😢
Ngl the loading screens helped pacing. It gave you a few seconds to digest what you just saw
Agreed. Sometimes you need a moment to take in what just happened. Plus I'll miss the sprites on the loading screen.
These games need a hard mode. Without it I may just wait for a deep sale
I think if moding is possible that they will make a hard mode either way
You can always make a game harder for you but making it easier is a whole lot harder.
Diff Clive's quest timer, I really like him as a character even keep him around during the final battle. Here's hoping there's no Trophy connected to doing it.
So is it just the PSP-Version graphics-wise? Would be the same as with Jean D'arc - the remaster looked worse than the original on my emulator.
All of the artwork has been redone and redrawn in HD, the only graphics that have stayed the same are the character sprites.
Anything about the Earth Rune’s MAG DEF actually working?
No word yet on the earth rune spells from Suikoden 1. They appear aware of the bugs and issues in the games and have spent a lot of time bug fixing. The only bug they've specifically addressed so far is the Recipe bug, but as it's built on the PSP ports, anything that was fixed in that port should also be fixed here.
I know it’s a remaster, but no end game dungeon or hard mode? Here’s hoping they are just holding back info.
Gonna miss the Matilda glitch but adding the Saturn content to Suikoden 1 is so cool.
Oh, you might have misheard. They won't be adding the Saturn content 😅
I wish they would make Rulodia a Star of Destiny in this remaster.
Same!. She'd make a good alternative to Sigfried or Feather without punishing the player for recruiting her.
hmmm i dont remember if the rune-piece glitch was fixed in the psp version im hoping they dont fix that i really like that glitch it makes alot of characters way more useful if you spend a little bit of time
I don't believe it was fixed in the psp ports. I never use the glitch myself, don't have the patience to do it.
I will wait for Jeane outfit.
It might be censored. 😆
I'd be surprised if they changed anything about the sprites. Her outfit should be fine.
there was also a endless money bug in sui1 when playing the dice game and a money glitch in the armor shop when buying at your castle. did they fix that too? that lv 99 thing was cool in 2 but in 1 it was difficult to level the hero to lv 99 in 2 was it easy and what about that stat boost bug? that was a big thing i used it much in the hardcore mod
Hope they also resolve that unfinished dungeon near Sajah.
Probably not going to happen. It's based on the PSP port, I doubt they'll touch any unfinished or cut content.
@@CulganValya Thank you for being vocal about Suikoden games and this issue in general!
Im still debating on picking it up. I love suikoden but wanna see how performance is tbh.
Have they released if they where going to add in the cut stuff from Suikoden 2 like the extra dungeon?
They've said nothing about any cut content being restored, and I wouldn't expect it to happen. It's highly unlikely.
@@CulganValya That's what I figured but I thought I'd ask at the very least though.
I guess they would've already mentioned if there are any plans to release the Saturn-only content even as DLC.
Yeah, don't hold your breath. It's highly unlikely that it'll ever be added.
@@CulganValya I'd be more hopeful to one day commission someone on Upwork or Guru to transplant it into the PSX original, but suffice to say, even that is a big if. (If anyone reading this wants to try, I'd be more than happy to discuss such a thing.)
Maybe fans will mod the PC version to have the Saturn content as well?
The Matilda Gate glitch fix is a bit of a bummer. But what I really want is for there to be a way to get up those f@cken stairs in The Great Forest Village.
That'll probably never happen. The room doesn't even exist in the game files.
Looking forward to the pc mods that bring back the missing content and matilda glitch
I wouldn't be surprised if there was a day 1 Matilda Gate mod released.
Yup, main reason I try to not bring Lian if not forced too.
I'm fine as it is, little bum out that it won't inclued the Sega Saturn contents but not big deal I guess.
Nooo the matilda gate 😅
What's wrong with Leknaat's line? Otherwise.. it does sound weird. Let's pray this would only be an english translation issue in the end.
still waiting for the all Krin remake
Aren't we all?
Konami devs please make new Sprites for the achers of Suikoden 1 in more future updates. Well great update by the way 😁.
just the clive quest really, as you cant collect everything you would like and do the quest well unless you have it all planned i guess. ive never seen the S1 stuff before so wont bother me to much but, would have been nice if they had added that secret dungeon to S2 though that was never finished, hope clives quest isnt a trophy that would be annoying if it is, did they fix the transfer of S1 to S2? as im sure not all that worked correctly either, why isnt tai ho (pretty sure he isnt) for example not upgraded like all the other characters do, sad on the M glitch but oh well, hope the farm and recipe bugs are fixed.
@@CulganValya nice to know didn't know it was an american thing... as i live in the EU only reason i always played the USA versions was because of suikoden 3 transfers as S3 wasn't in Europe in them days (yeah ps3 nowadays) although wasn't really that important and i don't bother to play emulators, probs why i wont get to play the saturn extras of 1, will be alittle sad about Matilda glitch as Humphrey is one of my faves ... haha
If it doesnt have extra battles or extra runes or something interesting 🤔 im play my PS1 version of it if i want nostalgia
Why all of you seem shocked because Konami doesnt add Sega Saturn content? They didnt even do that to Castlevania SoTN remaster.
We can deplore it without beeing shocked 😅
It's less being shocked and more being disappointed. People were really hoping they'd go the extra mile for the remaster.
I'm happy about remaster, but I will not be satisfied until Konami continue Suikoden series.
At this point, most of us are happy to take whatever we can get. Anything after the remaster is a bonus.
So they choosed to base the game on the wost version. Why am I not surprised?
Hay-ch-D
Hahaha glad they fixed the matilda glitch never been proud of exploiting that mistake😂
I for one am very proud of abusing the Matilda Gate Glitch 😀 It'll be nice to play the game a few times without using it though
odd take, a lot of the HD visuals look really bland
So they pulled a kids dub and removed cigarettes. BS. People are to damn sensitive
waiting for Suikoden 1 & 2 remaster (No)
waiting for Suikoden 2 remaster only (YES!)
Why higher rating if they're just gonna remove the cigarette and ashtray? Western regulations suk 455!
I'm grateful the Matilda gate Glitch is no more, that broke the game balance , i'd played It more than 50 times and only used 2 times.
Glad I never figured that one out
I'm indifferent about it
I'll never use it but don't mind anyone who does like to do it.
It'll be refreshing to play without it, but I'll miss the glitch after a few playthroughs and I'll want it back.
i don’t understand this mentality. some people like to break the game balance and if you don’t, then it sounds like it was never an issue for you since you only used it twice out of 50 times.
So no issue with them removing any signs of cigarettes and smoking? Because that's certainly changing something that's supposed to be there.
I recommend checking out the differences to the SEGA saturn version, just so you understand why some fans are upset about them not restoring/including it.
I just uploaded a nearly 50 minute video showing off the Sega Saturn content and the differences between the versions.
I wish we can take out flik and viktor from the final battle in suikoden 1. Wish we can use other characters instead of being stuck with those 2
its just to important of a moment at the climax of the story to remove them. the olny option would be to make it characters that also appear in s2 but at the time of s1 they prob didn;t even know they would make a second game.
@@wesleysmith5275 i mean they can still do it with much like the extra party members like suikoden 5 did, but then again thats probably too much for suikoden 1 standards
