For those unaware there was a DMC3 Manga that Lasted 2 volumes as far as I know personally. In it there was a strong Alice in wonderland theme going on with a Rabbit demon thing acting almost like Arkaham's agent. It was set before DMC3 and was setting up how the tower got raised with Vergil releasing Demons who Sparda had taken their names its not shown but it is implied these might be the Guardians like Cerberus and so forth. Sadly the Manga was cancelled before the plot could do more then set up its basics and its cast. It was actually good art and the story seemed decent from what I recall. But the reason why I bring this up is that Rabbit at the end? Yeah that is probably the same Rabbit from the Manga so they might be using parts of it for their show.
I’m wondering if this season will loosely adapt DMC3, the way Castlevania loosely adapt the story of some of their games and they are both produced by Ari Shankar
And after what was done to Peak of Combat after years of deserved hype, only to get a watered down husk of the game on global release. I played the old version and it was worthy of being held alongside 3, 4 and 5. Would've definitely eased the blow of Itsuno leaving if the last game we got wasn't a butchered stain on the series legacy
Luckily Adi Shankar is a huge DMC fanboy and even cosplayed as Dante from 3, plus I'm pretty sure he was a producer on the Catlevania animes. The only thing is that he said its gonna be it's own universe but with similar plot details from the games and other media (not including the edgy reboot)
I know, my guess is that this takes place before DMC 3, hence the use of Nero’s voice to make him sound younger, and tbh, I appreciate it, it makes a neat way to tie them together

Castlevania started as an adaptation of Castlevania 3's story before going off in its own direction for Seasons 3 and 4. This is adapting the DMC3 prequel manga, from the look of it.

My guess is because dmc5 reintroduced the events of the first light novel into the series, this is gonna be a sort of retelling of it while using elements from the dmc3 manga.
The problem is that DMC5 Nero had deeper more mature voice. If you would compare this trailer to DMC4 Nero cutscene, he uses bit higher voice, but since all of us played DMC5, where his voice is deeper, it will be similar..
I imagine the producers contemplated the VO for a long time. Ultimately I think it’s gonna be quality and I will be able to let go of preconceptions because it’s gonna be its own iteration.

My guess is because dmc5 reintroduced the events of the first light novel into the series, this is gonna be a sort of retelling of it while using elements from the dmc3 manga.
Nero's voice actor is fully capable actor to try sound differently as Dante but he didn't even try that why? He just sounds as Nero voicing Dante.
Hot take: JYB doesn't actually have much range to his voice, and most of his characters sound the same

The problem is that DMC5 Nero had deeper more mature voice. If you would compare this trailer to DMC4 Nero cutscene, he uses bit higher voice, but since all of us played DMC5, where his voice is deeper, it will be similar..
