I have picked up soooo many bad habits from you tube. one of them being to start the downswing with a lateral turn of the hips. This explains my struggle with my hands being too far behind. Thanks for this.

Same, been hitting hosel rockets cause my right hip is out in front before my club. Until I finally filmed and slow mo my swing, I could see it.

The endless gold mine! So grateful for the content you provide and the level of explanation you give on each step. I struggle with a lot of high right shots, mainly due to heel strikes. Watching your videos is helping with explaining the faults and ways to improve.

ive been watching your videos and have now got to a point where i think my back swing is in a good position so now i need to focus on the next sequence. So much to take in and practice but my back swing has changed so much in the last few weeks, hopefully the next few weeks will be the same for the downswing! Great coaching

Started playing golf a little over a year now and just achieved my goal of breaking 80 this week with a 79! I was hitting my irons all over the place before i started watching your videos. Understanding the hand/club path and just getting a better feel for the club awareness totally changed my swing to helping me hit longer and more consistent shots. So glad I found your channel a few weeks ago. Best coach on youtube!

I was maybe one student before her and I can confirm he’s got the golf swing spot on and I’m so glad I invested in myself. I played Torrey Pines south and north on consecutive days after lessons Tuesday and Wednesday and with the exception of two silly bogeys shot par. Had only seen Torrey South once ever and never seen north. No caddie and no range finder and cold and windy conditions from the Brown which played 7000 plus with weather

Awesome lesson!! Really cool you cautiously telling your student to what degree they should practice the drill- beautiful swing. Also Adam, you're gonna have to start telling us what you're wearing. I'm about your stature and cannot find styling threads that come in my size. Looking dope!

This drill should be golf 101! All the talk of starting the downswing with the hips has a lot of people getting the hips ahead of the hands!

I seem to have the opposite issue. My hands get to the ball a little too fast at time and out race my entire lower body. I try to imagine my right leg and hip coming in with the hands at the same time and that I hit the ball from my back hip. 🤔

  • @Raggmuff

You have to swing super slow on these types of drills.. If we were to be honest in this video.. Not once did the elbow catch up.. She still had that small yip. Swinging super slow and exaggerating what you want from her will allow her mind to rewrite the synapsis. Or to atleast understand what she should be feeling. The swing happens to fast at full speed to even have it register. IMO ( I found this video searching for left arm path in the downswing)

I’m 6’8” would you recommend I have the ball centered on mid irons or because of my height I should move it more forward?

  • @normsteez

That was great lesson, she seems like shes cool as cucumber. Very coachable
That move with the right elbow causes only good things, to me it makes me squat to square automatically.
