An epic, epic adventure and memories that will last a lifetime...especially for Laydon. Little man is definitely an Addict 😂. An Alaskan fishing trip has been on my bucket list. Most of my halibut fishing (and salmon too) has been off NW Whidbey Island in the Strait of Juan de Fuca in between Smith Island (an old Coast Guard station) and the San Juan islands. Launch out of Cornet Bay, cruise out under the Deception Pass Bridge, and then hit the fishing grounds. Thanks for sharing your adventure.

Jordan I lost a rod and reel from my drift boat , went under some branches and watched as the branches grabbed the rod lifted it and I floated by and it dropped in the river. Thanks for this episode I enjoy all the addicted fishing and stay fishey adventures.!
Nice. I was involved in the construction of saltys at the beginning of this video. I work for as a carpenter for the general contractor that built it. Several of the new bathrooms as well as other small shops and restaurants

It's so true when you catch fresh halibut like that and cook it up for example I went to Juneau for two months to work construction back in 81 and my uncle would go out and catch halibut cook at that night and I would beg him to cook it every day it was so good so when I came home my mother asked me what I wanted for dinner and I said halibut she went to the store and bought some halibut I didn't tell her this she cooked it exactly like my uncle did and it was awful the difference between fresh out of the ocean eating it within an hour or two versus buying in a store night and day difference
I cought 28 and 30 inch halibut in Belmont shores seal beach city line. In a cooling canal for the power plant. Right next to the river just east of PCH south of the river. Looks like it just comes out of the ground.
I miss Sitka so bad! Second best fishing I’ve ever had. Unalakleet River in Unalakleet Alaska was the best EVER! For salmon! Sitka definitely for halibut and big lingcod.
This was pure epic!! I loved every second!! I cant help but feel sad because i feel like i will never be able to fish like you guys do!! Loved the jorden butt window scene. Loved the whales, and especially loved all the fish caught, the team work and the adventure! Cant wait for the next one!!!
I really enjoyed the show! I live in juneau Alaska and I was enjoying the catching! Just a little info for next time. When you hook a big halibut, do not let his head get to the surface until you are ready to stick him with a gaff or shark hook. You want it to be just below the surface. I know you were drifting so it gets really challenging especially with the current. It helps though. A lot of times anglers will lose the catch of a lifetime by surfacing a big fish like that and it will head shake and throw your hook. Also try to look for mounds and try to sit on the edge where they will ambush. Good show!!!

Good work boys and nice fish. I was out fishing for butts yesterday out of Newport with a good friend who is a guide and caught one that was 54” same as cams. It weighed in at 61lbs absolutely monster of a fish. I’ll be posting a video on my channel soon. Awesome video guys.
I am originally from Florida live there my whole life my dad was the captain of Miss Cape Canaveral deep sea charters bottom fishing was our life. But don't really know anything about Alaskan cold water fishing and was just wondering if you guys can big gag grouper or Goliath grouper red snapper mutton snapper and beanies AKA mangrove snapper or black grouper etc. I really don't know a lot or anything really of Alaska cold water bottom fishing.
Guess nowadays you pretty much have to go to Alaska if you wanna harvest any gamefish. Washington, Oregon our libs just like feeding sea lions.and bi catch netting for your restaurants Got a nice boat going real cheap. As I’m sure others around here will. Sad …
I heard you mention you where looking for certain rocks and formations to find halibut. What exactly is it that your looking for or your electronics? I ask cause I went out fishing last week out of Whittier and it was a bust except for a bunch of rocks fish. It was upsetting. Thx
