In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion.

@@GaminGuy_ hmm, I suppose. I think we had a version of this game called "hide-and-seek go" in which we'd have to hide, and once found we'd have to reach a pre-decided-upon location before the seeker could catch us. I guess when I see hide-and-seek I instantly assume the classic set of rules.

Those hand touching moment between Greg and Alex. Did not see them much often in later series.
BTW Mel was so good throughout this series.
They graduated from hand touching to literal kissing, Alex sitting on Greg's lap, and just general invasion of personal space.

I would've hid under the camper, then waited for Alex to enter the house, then go inside the camper and hide in one of the storage compartments in the camper. The taunting text was hilarious!!

Why did nobody go on the roof? It would have taken hours for Alex to find them.

it's so encouraging that I'm not the only one who goes for the "don't hide, keep moving" strategy.
There was no rule about leaving the premises (which has been done to complete a task before). I would have run out the gate and hide in the town until he'd call me.😀
My immediate thought would be to just run, leave Down the road. Keep going for a while. My second thought was to hide until he leaves the trailer, then move into it myself. My third thought, lock the trailer but you are timed and under pressure. lol
Noel looks like a particular cartoon character which I couldn't remember

I still feel like Noel should have been disqualified from that ‘camouflage’ task.
If the army said “we need to camouflage in this terrain” and someone just used photoshop, they’d be fired.
Being in the fruit bowl was editing, not camouflage. By that logic you could take a picture of yourself and then edit yourself out of it and say it’s camouflage

What kind of weird hide and seek rules do you play by? I’ve only played saying you’re not allowed to change hiding spots once initially hidden. I thought Hugh would be disqualified
@@nightsgrow6575 thare was 2 ways one way it was hide and go seek tag and it the rules where dont get caught. And the hide and go seek in the house because we couldn't run inside it was like you word describing you pick a spot and then you almost stay in that spot until you found unless you realized spots too challenging to find and you want to use it another round so slightly adjust yourself to a slightly more obvious place but not quite that spot so they don't find it and use it

I remember playing this with my friends a couple years ago in late fall/ early winter when we were hanging out at one's house. One hid under his deck, another in the bushes out behind his house. I took it to a whole nother level by climbing 30 ft into the air into a tree. There was a bit of snow on the ground and it was pretty cold out so when all my friends were found except me they got worried. Eventually they gave up and were like "you win come out now" and it spooked them senseless when they heard me respond from above them. Remember, nobody ever looks up.

Had a similar one when I was a kid where six of us were playing hide and seek at someone's house. I found a trunk, but if I closed the lid you couldn't breathe in it. So I kept the lid barely cracked and gently closed it whenever I heard people coming into the basement. Then cracked it again when they left. It was a good half hour and I did not immediately come out when they started calling out for me. Waited until I heard everyone, who had swapped to seeking, in the basement nearby, then opened the lid. The screaming was legendary, I think they thought the trunk was haunted. Apparently more than one other kid had considered the trunk, but discarded it because of the breathing issue.
Being able to hold your breath for a minute and a half makes for way more opportunities for hide and seek spots.
I did the same - the counter was in the pergola with a grapevine over the top, I waited till everyone else had fled, climbed a nearby tree, and hit right on top, about 4 feet up, from the counter. Nobody saw me do it and I got to hear everyone after they were found chatting underneath me. I have never felt more CIA than that moment - it was exhilarating to be hidden.
I remember we were probably about ten and I was at my friends house, we all played hide and seek including his older brother and his friends, we had to give up because his brother kept hiding on the roof and when we’d give up he would jump down behind the house and come around the corner

Lolly’s performance in this task is so good. Still think that she’s one of the most underrated people who has ever been on the show.

She was undone by physical tasks, like the sandwich hopping one, the pommel horse, the sliding task...

OMG yes!!! I couldn't remember his name but thought wow he would do something crazy (^_^) I can think of a few past contestants who would take this low level of restrictions and just go all over with it(^_^)
I would say that they were being stupid but my first instinct and genius idea was to hide behind the caravan because he would never find me. So yeah...

I tried to think of ways to get on top of the caravan without making any noise. If possible, it might've been a good spot.

Noel had my laughing so hard I started crying. This made me realize that I would be a terrible audience member from laughing so hard.
If it were me i'd jumpscare alex from somewhere. To hell with points, the reaction would be priceless

I'm surprised Hugh (or someone else, but mostly Hugh) didn't try and jam the caravan door shut or block it so Alex couldn't get out to look for him.
I don't know who to feel worse for...Alex or Mel.
I feel worse for Alex, he seemed more embarrassed than Mel,who seemed want to have more fun with it
I would have never stopped laughing if I were her
Mel's reaction was more: "You really couldn't have known I was there."
While Alex was more: "Oh god, I should have known you were there."
Imagine if someone managed to sneek into the caravan after he left.

Lolly’s crowning achievement
I would have done the same thing the old dude was cause I assumed he was going to check around the trailer first, then I would try to figure out the door he's entering, running out the back, and hiding in the trailer. I'd probably choose the wrong door or hed see me out the window and id be immediately caught

The funniest part of this is that I'm an adult watching other adults in another country casually play hide and seek for money. Love the concept of the show and big props to the editors, they must be the best of the best and should be duly paid.
The rules did not state the boundary of hide and seek, I'd just go back to my home and hide in my closet.

The task only said to hide. I don't think they put any restrictions on leaving the premises, so the last person being on the beach could have been true, had they been smarter.
My intuition was to go home because the task didnt have any boundaries or rules, if Alex called me i would have simply said i was hiding and to keep looking. Would have been fun to watch him search for a couple hours before he gives up.
Would it have been possible to lock or barricade Alex in the caravan? That way he couldn’t leave to find you?

Pointless random observation: Alex upon finishing counting yells “Coming! Ready or Not”. I grew up in California and we would yell “Ready or Not, Here I Come!” Was just curious if this was a regional or national difference. Would be interested to hear what you said in your particular part of the country and/or world. Cheers from the US.

East Coast US, we always say 'ready or not, here i come!' too :)

I'm totally like Lolly I play to win at hide and seek and even though I'm pretty big I will squeeze myself into the tiniest spaces.
They both hid for 69 seconds. Neat.
I would have sneaked into the neighbour's yard, knocked their door and hid inside their house.

I'm disappointed nobody tried to lock Alex into the camper. Just rolling a car gently into the door would have been quite achievable in 100 seconds!

I want to play hide and seek! I loved hiding as a child. When I went into a room I would look for a place to hide in case of a random attack lol.
Did the card specify a location? Otherwise they couldve just walked out the gate and get an easy victory

In this version, it seems like once you find someone, that's over. But that's not the rules that I played by growing up in Poland. In the version that I know, the seeker could only announce finding a person while next to the "base" (in this case, the caravan). The hiders could reach the base and declare themselves "free"; and it didn't matter if the seeker saw them, if they could reach the base faster. So the seeker had to start close to the base and gradually wander further and further, while checking all the spots; while the hiders had to avoid detection until they're closer to the base that the seeker (assuming the same running speed), then just go for it.
YESSS! Those are the rules I played by as a child, too 👍🏻

Next time, if you áre going to call the searcher, send a very vague and confusing picture of where you actually are, and see if it helps them or not XD
Or better yet, instead of searching, people hide in a well-known place everyone knows, then send a picture, and the searcher has to guess where they are. I feel like I've invented a new game.
when I was playing hide and seek with some neighbor boys, I hid under the desk in the office upstairs. They got kinda tired of searching and asked, "are you upstairs, Ariadne?" I of course thought, are they stupid? I'm not going to tell them and said "No~" my voice obviously coming from upstairs...well, they searched the downstairs for 10+ minutes and were pretty peeved when they finally figured out I was lying.

I would hide with the camper in sight then while he is looking I move into the camper.
But it didn't specify the geographical limits tho.. Why did no one just left the property ?
I would have done what joe did but a bit more smartly. Waited till alex went in, waited 5 secs to make sure and dashed into his caravan and hid in the place where he was counting

I would soak my shoe on mud, and make a fake trail.. then unshoe my feet, and go to the opposite direction
