    Baked a board from an older 42" LG. Went with 300 degrees for 15 minutes. It worked!
    And the smell wasn't that bad. Many thanks!

    I didn't bake it but took a hair dryer to the black/dark gray box on the piece. I heated it pretty well and it worked. Didn't have to bake, just took about 3 minutes with a hair dryer and no worries about making your house smell.

    To prevent it happening again, never ake out the power cord while not in
    use, let it be in standby mode always! I found out that the board stops
    working when it has been left in a cold (below 10' Celsius) room for a
    week or so without the power cord attached. So, never unplug the power
    cord (tv, blu-ray surround etc). I`m baking my
    board for 2 time now. Lesson learnd.
    EDIT: Last time it lasted for 3 years, and it also worked today! 200`Celsius in 12 minutes

    I did this last night. do it at 392 F (200 C) for 10 minutes. let it cool for 30 minutes with the oven off and oven door open. then move it to the kitchen counter and let it cool some more for 30 minutes. *now to prevent any smells first make a pouch out of parchment paper, place the board in the pouch, and staple the open ends closed. then make a pouch out of aluminum foil, place the board in the parchment paper into the aluminum pouch, and fold the open ends of the aluminum several times to make it air tight. do not open the pouches in the house after the board has baked and cooled.* I went to my garage to get the board out of the pouches. there were exactly no fumes or smells while I did any of this because of the aluminum pouch being sealed by the folds and opening the pouches in my garage. once installed, the board has been working ever since.

      still working today?

      @@preytec yes works very well; it's the main TV of the house, and is used a lot every day. I have noticed when there is an extreme change in weather (mostly cold snaps), it prompts the board to start failing and needing to be baked. the baking procedure I detailed works like a charm every time.

      Surg e the tv has blacked out again at the 7 month mark. The next thing to do is buy the mother board, if i can find one.

    Can you do this to a Samsung flat screen tv

    • @Ruben-ot8pm
      @Ruben-ot8pm  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, i know this was a specific problem with this LG LED mother board. But hey, if the tv has kicked the bucket, then what could be the harm in trying it, right? Let me know if u try it out
