Lost my mom to cancer 2 months ago. These past few weeks since she's passed have been painful but also just so strange. Everything reminds me of her, and everyday reminds me of something of her. She used to listen to this song a lot, and I only just remembered today. Here's to you mom, hope you're enjoying watching the wheels now.
I'm so sorry to hear about your loss! Our mothers are very special and try to remember all the good times you were both gifted with! Remember, everyday is one day closer to seeing her again!
I'm so sorry to hear about that brother. My ma and dad died of cancer as well, keep your head up and always keep your ma in mind she's watching over ya man, that's a sign that you remembered this song she brought you to the song, keep your head up brother and have a blessed day
May your Mother's passing be a great source of strength to you after the initial shock has gone. This song describes my life for the last 5 years, it's beautiful.

This song really hit me when I was going for my Masters degree in Archaeology. All my friends kept asking why I was doing it and how much money could I possibly make with such a degree. It is one of my favorite John Lennon songs.
doing soemthing strictly for money will probably make you miserable your whole life..not many have the passion or courage to do what they truly love or the opportunity to
When I graduated from high school back in the mid 1980s, I had a passion for anthropology and archaeology. When I told the adults in my life that I wanted to pursue this career field, they all shut me down saying there was no money to be made in that field, and best case I could only become a poor college professor. I didn't think that was such a bad thing considering I also wanted to be a school teacher. They explained to me the error of my thinking and I ended going to school for Electronics/Digital Technology. By the time I was ready to graduate, my education had become obsolete because of the rapid changes in the field. I had a potential employer tell me "You need to go back to school and take X, Y, and Z". I was crushed. I told him "I JUST graduated, and you are telling me I have to go back to school?!? What if it changes again while I am in school again?" He said "That's a strong possibility. The field is changing about every 18 months right now and you have to jump in at just the right time... unless you want to star as a glorified parts assembler." I was working nights at UPS sorting packages, so instead, I became a delivery driver, worked for a few decades, retired, drew my pension, and opened my own shop. All the while reading of the work done by others in the field I had wanted so passionately to be a part of.
I was eight when John Lennon was murdered in 1980. At fifty-one, it still breaks my heart. The first time I heard this song was at the County Fair not long before his death. I remember it as if it happened yesterday. It has been said that if you listen to the wind, you can still hear him play. Rest In Peace, John. This fan misses you. 😢💔
I turned 8 myself in 1980 , dec 5th 3 days later the great man was gone , remember it really well , mum was well gutted , being a big Lennon and Beatles fan
I had just turned 7 a few days before his death. I distinctly remember sitting in front of the tv filling out cards for my class Christmas party when I learned of the news. I’ll never forget it. My grandfather passed a few days after.
I send my love to you and hope your doing ok I’m here listening to this song with the thoughts of me letting go but there more to life 💪🏼 thank you for commenting

Quo vadiis.
I was 1 but he was very present in my home . Dad loved Paul. Mom loved John. I got plenty of both, but not a ton of Beatles oddly enough.
A masterpiece. This song should have over a billion views.
No it shouldn't. If it did it would be as tedious as Imagine. Let's leave this song as a hidden gem please.
If the views went to the families of John Lennon
It's better than "Imagine" but I wouldn't call it a masterpiece.
