I remember being there 11 months ago, when life was still "normal". It was a pretty crowded area. Loved the church and we also went into the Rockefeller Center. The city was so different from what you show us now.
Narrated is good dude keep it up. since I've never been there Its awesome for me to know where your at and what stores or points of interest are by you in the shots. I just like learning stuff so narration for me is a plus. Thanks man.
For some reason, this has become one of my favorite areas of Manhattan in recent years. There's a unique energy about it, the architecture is awesome, and of course it contains the infamous and beautiful Radio City Music Hall. I'm curious to see how the usually magical winter time looks around there this year.
Richard Head You are wrong. It’s already been so much better. We hope and think positive things will be back. America is amazing country and also NYC is the best city in the world. God bless America and NYC.
Rockefeller Center converts the ice skating rink to a bar every spring - and back again for the winter. It's always an amazing transformation. Miss the city - pre-covid :(
I was there that live stream, where you walked through there. It was a bit sad to see nobody in the Rockefeller Building. Great video, got to love that 4k at 60fps standard.

I used to work there at 30 Rock. I also worked at the Rink. The rink is only open from October - April. The coils won't freeze in the summer. This year they closed early in March due to the shutdown. The only good news I found out was that an absolute hated manager finally retired from the rink management. I was thrilled. One of the most difficult people to work with ever. I've been going there since 1977. I have NEVER seen it this empty.
Wow! The Rockefeller Concourse is looking pretty creepy now without people and all those closed stores :o Remember when I worked in the area and went for lunch at Pret, Hale & Hearty, Cucina & Co, etc... it was packed and lunch spots often had lines out there door. The underground concourses running under Midtown are a good shortcut to avoid sidewalk crowds and summer heat but I'm guessing the majority of them are still closed to pedestrians BTW, the ice skating rink is converted into outdoor seating during the summertime, think the property management for 30 Rock has been doing that for many years now for clarification ;)
Yes, AK,your reaction to lack of skating rink in 90 degree weather made me laugh:) They always replace it in the Summer haha. Hopefully the holiday festivities and skating will take place this year!!
It's so strange seeing Rockefeller Center empty like that. No tourists. If you're a local, great time to be walking around with no crowds. Too bad there's a pandemic going on. Wow, weird man. Side note: yes, they do change out their ice skating rink after the winter season. I like going there in the summer to see the fountain. I went on a tour two years ago and they showed us where the Christmas tree would stand. 😎 I don't know if Sak's will be doing their light show this year with this pandemic. My guess will be no. Thanks for the video!! 🙂
Hi. Please do another walk in the concourse on a weekday to see what is really open. Also, the ice rink becomes a restaurant every spring/summer, but usually with many more tables.
It's a perfect time for Photography! No one is in your way for great photos and videos. I am getting a good look at the area without all the people in the way. Peaceful too.
Yes, it seems the Gov is ridding the world of things that provide exercise, fun and healthy. They want our muscles to get weak, they want to cut off our oxygen, they want us sick. I say BS on them.. I do what I want, only master I have is God!
3:07 Wowww! This is the first time seeing your face! I always appreciate your vids. I was there back in 2015 Christmas. What a time to be in NYC, especially at Rockefeller Center. Hope to be back after all this Coronavirus situation ends.
In all NY Buildings they have access to the Subways and enter the Building Lobby from the Subway train areas the same as when I enter the Rockefeller Lobby from the subway?
they should make a wall to direct people out of rock center if you leave the subway that way. exit through that set of gates. a wall channels you to closest exit.
The locked turnstile exit seems like it would impede an evacuation. What are they trying to lock out, and do they really have to block an exit to do so?
Don’t they always remove the ice rink infrastructure out if season? Place looks like a scene from a zombie movie, very sad. Feel sorry for all those people who worked in the shops and have lost all their jobs 😢
The ice skating rink is seasonal. It is always converted in the summer. So that's not surprising. The thing is that normally that pit area, where the ice rink is would be packed. Yeah, it might not be entirely empty. Still, it is srange and disturbing to see that.
It'll come back, the stores will be different but nobody was wedded to the specific stores that were there anyway--they come and go in normal times. Sucks to be a business owner who goes out of business, but it's not like there will be a permanent change from the point of view of passers-by.
Hey ! I wanted to ask you : I'd like to open a YT channel and I was wondering about finances : are you paid by adds? I understand it's a personal question :/
before pandemic yes, there are a few here in the city. Every morning got my coffee from there. it's starbucks coffee. but sometimes the actual starbucks was packed with people and i was in a rush so gotta make due. Just use your phone, in out, few minutes.
@5:20 A few sugerfina's open here where I live. I've never been, so just went on their site....looks yummy! 50% off sale! ...so looks like we can and should help these stores that are closed..shop online..praying this crap will stop!!
I remember being there 11 months ago, when life was still "normal". It was a pretty crowded area. Loved the church and we also went into the Rockefeller Center. The city was so different from what you show us now.
I was there in August 2021, it was more active and lively compared to summer 2020.
The ice skating rink is converted into an outdoor restaurant every year..

We hope and pray for the best and safe.
God bless America and NYC
I use to pass thru there every morning for 3 years on my way to work. Would have never imagined it looking like this one day. Wow!
The ice skating rink always became a restaurant area in the off season.
I used to walk by this place everyday, thank you for sharing this great stuff. It’s amazing how empty the place is.
NYC is a wonderful city in the world.
It will be back.
Thank you for great your video

Your wish is ccp’s wishes.
Never again !
Are you in China? ccp???
Wow, Rockerfeller Concourse is so empty. I could sense how eerie it was! Thank you for the video, your voice is very soothing. 😊 👍
Yes. But granted it was Sunday, so probably a lot less people than a weekday.
That was my itinerary when I used to work for Saks , from the subway to Rockfeller concourse to the store
Rockefeller Center converts the ice skating rink to a bar every spring - and back again for the winter. It's always an amazing transformation. Miss the city - pre-covid :(
Creepy but beautiful... I really enjoy all your videos, they remind me of the time I spent in this wonderful city. Keep strong NYC
I was there that live stream, where you walked through there. It was a bit sad to see nobody in the Rockefeller Building. Great video, got to love that 4k at 60fps standard.
Looks like something out of a zombie movie! Can't get over how creepy this place is now. Stay safe AK!
Sunday morning, everybody is sleeping in.

Amazing to see it all so quiet. So many jobs lost here. Thanks, AK, and people, please hit the "Like" if you watch. He deserves it!
Showing New York as quiet as this just shows the difference of a city with no tourists.

It is a earie and strange contrast going from the empty corridors and shops to a reasonably busy outside dining area
11:16 They canceled the Christmas show at Radio City? I wonder if there is going to be a Christmas tree lighting?
Wow! The Rockefeller Concourse is looking pretty creepy now without people and all those closed stores :o

Rockefeller, my favorite❣ I also was there 11 months ago. Can't wait to come back . It looks so sad without people😷
Very interesting tour. Stay safe!😁
Rockefeller Center always has outdoor eating in the summer on the ice rink, it's been that way for many years. So weird to see the concourse so empty.
Of all the great things that NYC has to offer a tourist the two things I would most want to see are St Patrick’s Cathedral and the Brooklyn Bridge.
I'm pretty sure they only make it an ice skating rink in the winter
True, at a certain point they take up the rink, put in tables and it becomes an expensive restaurant.
Yes, AK,your reaction to lack of skating rink in 90 degree weather made me laugh:) They always replace it in the Summer haha. Hopefully the holiday festivities and skating will take place this year!!

Who dared to give AK a thumbs down? Not cool. Great video by the way.
1:45 these damn loud "screaming" Alstom R160, you hear them everywhere
They remove the ice skating rink every summer
Peaceful! Amazing!
I used to work in Rockefeller Center. Normally full of people-unbelievable to see it this way...😢
What a ghost of what it normally is around there! Thanks for the tour, AK!
Hi. Please do another walk in the concourse on a weekday to see what is really open. Also, the ice rink becomes a restaurant every spring/summer, but usually with many more tables.
Yeah the ice skating is only there in the colder months. It’s so strange seeing everything closed down below....hopefully things pick up!
It's a perfect time for Photography! No one is in your way for great photos and videos. I am getting a good look at the area without all the people in the way. Peaceful too.
NY is such a nice city! I wish I could make walking videos there one day!
Oh my god! They removed the ice skating rink when it's 30 degrees +
Yes, it seems the Gov is ridding the world of things that provide exercise, fun and healthy. They want our muscles to get weak, they want to cut off our oxygen, they want us sick. I say BS on them.. I do what I want, only master I have is God!
@@graceford1294 plus the ice would melt!

Awesome video!
7:00 I'm pretty sure they remove the ice skating ring every year in the summer time.
So relax. Thanks guy 😙😙😚
I was there on literally March 9, 2020 . It’s sick to keep in mind that was only 7 months ago.
The locked turnstile exit seems like it would impede an evacuation. What are they trying to lock out, and do they really have to block an exit to do so?
Looks like three oclock in the morning!
the skatting ring is just in winter lol
I miss Rockefeller centre.😭 your video very nice. I like your video❤❤🌺🌺
what kind of camera & how are holding it? its smooth & not jumpy -- nice job --
Don’t they always remove the ice rink infrastructure out if season?
Place looks like a scene from a zombie movie, very sad. Feel sorry for all those people who worked in the shops and have lost all their jobs 😢
ElibelDublin2020 .. they do, every Summer. I worked in that complex for years. It’s definitely eerie seeing it so empty.
The ice skating rink is seasonal. It is always converted in the summer. So that's not surprising. The thing is that normally that pit area, where the ice rink is would be packed. Yeah, it might not be entirely empty. Still, it is srange and disturbing to see that.
Nice walk Thank you and say hello from Berlin
Wow! My old work hood.
🤗🤗 brilliant
I kinda miss taking the subway.
So so sad. I was there in February and it was very very busy.
Is the building at 16:29 made similarily to how the Twin Towers were made? they look similar
ActionKid after the zombie apocalypse: Looks like a movie set!
I heard that there was a blackout in Manhattan last night
My old stompin ground. Thank AK, saving me another round of airfare
Who else remember rosco street map from max payne
Actionkid, you live and make videos of NYC and you didn't know that the ice rink is only in winter? 🤯
Thank you.
Cool Video.

Did you find your glasses?
well done
So the only commerce here is a Ben and Jerry's and a wine shop?

shops are almost dead :)
all those businesses may never open again 🙁
Have you shopped at the "Amazon Go" store at Rockefeller Center?
before pandemic yes, there are a few here in the city. Every morning got my coffee from there. it's starbucks coffee. but sometimes the actual starbucks was packed with people and i was in a rush so gotta make due. Just use your phone, in out, few minutes.
Cool place. Greetings from Germany!
Bye bye AK thanks stay safe folks from Argentina love 🙋♀️🇦🇷❤
The trains are much cleaner. 🤗
It's also Pretty dangerous now. The crime is at an all time high because the CITY is NOT fully thriving. Be careful out there! Seriously.
Holy smokes, you're in a Stephen King movie.
There is nothing happy or joyous about this video. This is not my NYC where I grew up. SAD.
The city that never sleeps has been ROCKED TO BED 4EVA!!!
❤️
18:00 inches away? Wrong wrong wrong, during holidays in Rockefeller Center, you are literally bumping shoulder to shoulder lol, zero space at all
Take the cars out and it looks like that scene in the devils advocate
Good morning 🙋🏻♂️
Welcome Hello
In the care and protection of God and save him
God willing 🤲
Would love to visit NYC for the first time. 😐
@5:20 A few sugerfina's open here where I live. I've never been, so just went on their site....looks yummy! 50% off sale! ...so looks like we can and should help these stores that are closed..shop online..praying this crap will stop!!
Where is everyone?
Lovelyyyy
I can understand not wearing a mask in the park with social distancing but when you go in any shop , mask up ! Be courteous.
You can't enter ANY building without one, be obedient. Put on goggles and plug your ears.
