⁴ᴷ⁶⁰ Walking NYC (Narrated) : Severe Thunderstorm Walk on 5th Avenue, Times Square & Broadway

I walk through Manhattan in the middle of a severe thunderstorm during rush hour on 42nd Street, 5th Avenue, Rockefeller Center, 49th Street, Times Square, Broadway, Herald Square, The Flatiron District, and SoHo. NYC Emergency Management called for severe thunderstorms from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a tornado watch also in effect. This was also the day of the half sun Manhattanhenge, when the sunset aligns with the street grid of Manhattan. However, it was not observable due to the rain clouds.

I don't know if it's because I'm super high but watching these videos is amazing, not just the filming, commentary and what not but just to see SO.MANY.PEOPLE. all going on about their lives. It makes me sit and wonder where they're going, what they were feeling that day, what's going on in their lives as they walk by....amazing stuff to think about sometimes. Great video! NYC is my favourite city in the world (i'm from Argentina). I travelled there in 2016, 2017 and 2018. Unfortunately I coudn't go this year but I hope that in 2020 or 2021 i will be able to make my fourth visit to the city.

It is amazing how so many people comes out when it is raining. You mention that a thunder storm is coming and then off to the race; everyone comes out to see the rain and get wet. I guess being wet is some people enjoyment. I like to see it rain but I don't have to get soaked to enjoy it.😊
