I'm a Mariah obsessive. This one wasn't actually a live vocal. It's a fantastic lip synch job. She can kill this song live though, so it's not a dis.
It's not lip sync 😊
Some of it is studio dubbed and redone with cleaner vocals I’m guessing, but this is 100% live. No lipping was done before 1997 and this whole performance was live. This wasn’t performed with a live audience, so she didn’t need to sing it with perfect mic technique so it looks like it isn’t close enough
