Most don't notice. In the last picture of Android 16 with his birds, he has a halo. He was a machine. He called himself a soulless killing machine. 18 made a 'souless joke' when she first met him. Cell said 'we both know he never had a soul'. But there he is, halo and all, with his birds.
Well we actually see footage of Android 16 talking to his father as a human before surgery at the Red Ribbon Army on his hard drive. This means he was human once and does indeed have a soul.
@@CosmicG777 Android 16 itself doesn't, because unlike 17 and 18,16 was completely machine, he only looks like Gero's son, unlike 17 and 18 they were humans before they became the Androids
ridiculous. When humans create a baby, they make the physical body. they don't put the soul in, the divine does. So why would it make a different when humans make an artificial body? humans don't put the soul in, the divine does! So of course Android 16 has a soul.
@@matthewkreps3352 "Of course" is a stretch, we don't have AI's that have developed personalities in real life. We have robots that can do A-Z yet they only do what they're programmed to do. A16 was probably like that at first too, him eventually coming to appreciate life was a miracle

That was a HUGE thing for vegeta to do, to hit cell behind the back like that. A saiyan warrior would never think to attack someone from behind because it's shameful to a saiyan. That means now vegeta has something he cares more about than his pride
Bullshit Vegeta been a dirty fighter his whole life lol. He has no problem attacking opponents reoccupied in their fights, it was literally his motto on Namek.
I think especially that he was in a situation where he knew that there was no more hope apart from Gohan, same with Goku on Namek he knew that he was the only sayain who could defeat Freeza and that he was about to die

@@In-The-Zone im pretty sure the only time he hit someone off guard on namek was when he kneed gohan in the stomach. But even if he has done it other times before (toriyama is notorious for his retcons) that doesnt take away from the power of the meaning that scene had. It was meant to show how much vegetas changed

What people don’t realize is that Krillin beat Goku’s record of 9 times with that end scene with him and 18. For once krillin got a win!!🎊🎊🎊

I always tear up everytime . I lost count of how many reactors i’ve watched watching this season after watching it myself, and i can not get enough. 😭
I come looking for new reactors every so often when I need my DBZA scratch itched and I always well up during ep 60 2-3. I love it.
The picture of 16 was more meaningful than just fanart. In their canon 16 was specifically stated to have no soul but we see in the end that he did and it was good soul. Now he’s in heaven enjoying nature and he’s happy. I dont know I just thought it was a small detail that made 16 more loved in the DBZ community than he originally was
Ah man. I remember back when they first uploaded it and at the end, with Krillin's scatter bullet and the words "TFS will be back for season 4" and I was so happy.
then months later they re uploaded the video and removed that text, released a video they were done with DBZA. Sad day. still Thanks so much to TFS. I discovered this series right after season 2 ended, and it completely renewed my interest in this series that I had not thought much about in years.
And thank you House for letting me watch along yalls journey through this series.

Because every point them bring up why did they stop are completly valid,there was the copystrikes,the time that will take to make an episode since they were thinking of using a new kind of animation, also COVID-19 happen, you may think it doesn't have anything to do it with, but it does,if they just had stop and just said "we're going to do anymore" they I would be piss,but they explain why twice one on reddit,other on video and everything they said was understandable and yes DBZA was amazing but some project they have after DBZA aren't that bad either, that was another they make them stop,they make 3 season going strong, but now they are burnout and the Buu saga isn't that great, if they had stop with no explanation or good reason you could be piss and call BS on that, they did everything they could, but like they said if you unsubscribe because no more DBZA they would understand.

I'm sure that even if it took time, Bulma could take the bombs out of 17 and 18...but why tho? Why do complicated and possibly risky surgery when Shenron can just wish it away with no consequences? From this perspective anyway, not talking GT here. Plus, would 17 and 18 cooperate? Didn't the last scientist they met experiment on them for years? They probably don't want to live that trauma again. You're right about 16 though, they could have at least attempted to wish for him to be repaired.
Yeah, one of the biggest problems there is the difference between 16 and the other two. 16 was fully mechanical, whereas with 17 and 18 it'd be a weird mix of surgery and cybernetics. You're absolutely right, having Shenron just magic the nukes out of their chests is not only quicker, but way safer for everyone involved.
And that's not even *mentioning* how hesitant 17 and 18 would probably be about going under the knife of someone again after all they've been through with Gero.
At this stage Piccolo Vegeta and Gohan could easily beat the androids. Couldn’t they just knock them out cold and then have bulma remove the bombs?
@@Just_That_Guy910 It still a problem of safely removing them. Despite what the Z fighters call them their Cyborgs, synthetic and organic parts. If Bulma's not careful they could die or have life threatening wounds.
@[Stares Motherfuckerly] I think Haku was just going into a different part of the topic. He's focusing more on Shenron's wish-granting capabilities, while I was just focusing on the pros and cons of removing the nukes via surgery vs. wishing them out.
And concerning Android 16, you seem a bit confused. 16 wasn't the same person as Gero's son; Gero's son died at Goku's hand, yes. But he was never resurrected. Gero put files containing data about his son into the making of 16. As such, 16 was purely a machine - nothing organic about him. So comparing him to 17 and 18 in terms of resurrection is a false equivalence. 17 and 18, while cyborgs, were still human in fundamental essence. Android 16 was a true android - his database may have been based on a real human being, but 16 himself was not that person

Now go back and watch episode one and see how far they came 10 years of blood sweat and tears Team Four Star put in to this abridged series this is a love letter to the original story by Akira Toriyama and all the die hard fans around the world. They chose to end it here but its fine by me. Many people whk never saw the show fell in love with it via the Abridged version. And I like that many jokes go over heads if you don't know the deep DBZ facts adds that extra element of made by fans for fans entertainment.

Even if there's a few more videos to react to, it should be said. You two honestly have one of the more unique reactions on youtube. Rarely do couples react to DBZA, let alone watch the whole series. Although around the same time you started, another couple on TH-cam also started reacting to DBZA, but they've slowed down. just now getting to Cell. Regardless, this was dope to see this kind of perspective. All I can say is, can't wait to see what you think once Yugioh Abridged starts improving.
I know who you are referring to. Lately, they just don't seem to be that into it like they used to. Even though I've watched DBZ and it's abridged counterpart many times, I get excited watching with House Garrett because their reactions are genuine and lively. The others, not so much. =\
Let’s keep in mind that the Krillin owned counter started at 38 when they started smashing. Our boy Krillin went at it 38 times with this woman. This is one of many reasons why Krillin is best boy in this series.

I feel like when Yamcha picks up Gohan that's a dig when he says he has soft hands, like saying he doesn't train anymore, and ya gotta love Gohan getting some of that Saiyan pride under his belt. Thank you two for bringing us along on this trip, this series is amazing and I love seeing how people feel watching it.
Sadly we will never get to see how Buu saga abridged would go since they announced that they won’t continue which I forget the reason on why they didn’t continue
Burn out and they said while they were writing jokes it didn't feel the same. The jokes weren't as funny and they weren't having as much fun as they were previously

@@Shifty51991 yeah that's true but what they do now is small compared to the work they do on DBZA writing 20 minutes worth of dialogue and jokes a video, editing visual jokes in, creating a new story. Plus they have to battle for copyright. They said they were afraid of the channel being taken down due to copyright and there are people at TFS who only make money from TH-cam so the channel being taken down would ruin some TFS members lives. Its in the 1 hour explanation they released
@@paul-juniorblack6151 Yeah, they've had to fight for copyright in the past where episodes got taken down because of it. It's always a slippery slope with that. Plus, to spend so much time and editing on every episode, it would probably take another 10 years to complete depending on how many they do. Remember how long it took them to release episodes towards the end of the show? MONTHS which then went on to almost years. It's so much time and dedication that the question then becomes "Is it worth it to keep the ball rolling for another arc?". Personally I think they made the best decision they could. Not only that but they ended on a brilliant high. Better to stop now.
Paul-Junior Black I don't think it's due to burn out, writers block, etc at all. They still produce a ton of content after all, and do it consistently. Not to mention those things are always temporary; a break rather than completely discontinuing a series is all it takes for those.
I think you hit the nail on the head for their battle against copyright, though. As of now, continuing DBZA means risking a lot of their careers, and it just isn't worth it. If Toei became more lenient on copyright strikes, then they're definitely back to DBZA. But seeing as how it's Toei we're talking about, that sadly may never happen.

I got my wife into DBZA and she loved it. When it ended she got upset and asked if there was more so I showed her the movies. You guys are awesome, reactions are exactly like my wife and I 🤣
Good as part 1 was, this might have the best moments. Vegeta snapping, and then apologising, the one handed Kamehameha(which was originally the Father-son Kamehameha), Goku's pep talk, Vegeta helping, gohan overpowering Cell, and Cell's final song. Just amazing. There are a few more videos for you to watch from them. A few movies, and the Kai's. I think this series was better than the original to be honest. You may have noticed, but I've watched it a few times.
Btw, the name of the song Cell was singing as he got blown to bit is "My way" by Frank Sinatra

Surprised that no one ever brings up how Android 16 had a halo at the end, proving that he, a soulless machine, actually had a soul.
To be fair, Hercule had to take credit for it. He was going to change his ways until Jimmy ran up to him. His first reaction to the question was to stutter and try to explain the situation straight but it was cut off by Jimmy telling Hercule that his fans were apparently rioting in fear and confusion. The two of them realized in that moment that Hercule had to be the person to take credit for the people to calm down and believe that they had peace. It was a secret that they would take to the grave so that the public wouldn't riot again. Hercule was literally strong armed into the position of savior.
I want to point out that android 16 was purely mechanical. In the show's lore he had no soul. Team four star gave him a halo at the end showing that he was in heaven in the abridged series. It was a nice touch.

I think something I love about the end credits is the picture with 16. He has a Halo, so Cell's claim of "he never had a soul" was wrong, even though he was just an android, not a person to begin with at all. He went to heaven where he could bird watch to his hearts desire. 16 was an android, but a pure soul regardless.
This show man, this just hits harder than the original even if it had its moments and characters just feel better.
One thing, Mr Satan isn't "taking the credit" of his own volition. Jimmy is blackmailing him into doing it.
The obliteration of the Krillin Owned Counter at the end is just the icing on the cake in that little after-credits bit. Our boy not only getting a true win, but one of the biggest wins of all the humans in the series (Yes I'm saying that getting with 18 is an absolute win and I will die on that hill)

So the reason cell is back in his perfect form is because his cell remember how his body was constructed before and recreated it

I remember watching a music video celebrating the end of the series... Focused on goku. Was good enough to make me wish I'd worked harder to watch the series fully before I watched it. :)
Y'all need to watch the DBZA Shorts after the epilogue. There are four out right now and they are basically slice of life additions to the DBZ Abridged Canon. Trust me you won't regret it, its original animation and they are clean, funny and surprisingly satisfying.

For references, when Goku said "NOW! EAT! THAT! HORSE!!" It was a reference to when Vegeta lost to 18 and Goku said "When you get knocked off a horse, you get up, and you eat that horse! Come eat that horse with me Vegeta!"
And, you may have noticed, but the "Fuck ____" guy was building up to that joke.
I think Goku's speech is a reference to the series ending after however many years.
When 17 says he never got a boat, he's talking about the boat he wanted to steal to get to Kame house.
They played Lapis Lazuli's theme again when 18 talked to Krillin
Namek doesn't have nights
18's promise was when Krillin helped carry 16 away. She said "If we make it out of this, I'm going to rock his four-foot world."
When Krillin takes his pants off, you can hear them hit the floor, then a second, meatier thud.
It implied that they had sex all day long, as it was day when they started, and night when Krillin lost his "own count" meter
One other thing: There's a final Solar Flare pic that you can see when Cell is singing "My Way". Occurs when his semi-perfect form is firing the solar flare.

@House Garrett TFS originally was going to do the Buu Saga (Season 4) but due to copyright problems and almost losing their channel twice along with running out of ideas because of burnout fatgue, they simply decided to cancel the rest of DBZA.
Scattered Bullet is one of Android 18's moves
Alot of people wondered about Android 17 after Cell absorbed him when he returned in DBS. Well the Dragon Ball Z Comics explained the reason of how 17 came back. 18 went to find 17 at that point. Basically 17 re-spawned where Cell died, 17 was wished back on the spot that Cell died during the Cell Saga events. If you look it up, you'll find out.
Goku's monologue always gets me, because it really seemed like it was more a speech from TFS to the fans that went on the journey with them through the years. It had a bigger impact then too because it was still up in the air if they would do a season 4.
Am I the only one who's grown to thinking DBZA is the definitive version of DBZ? Also they have some good animated shorts. Like Krillin and 18 on their first date

Mr Satan actually fills his role well. He is supposed to be the antifall guy.
The one hiccup in DBZA that always sticks out to me is how it isn’t explained how Cell returned to earth from space.
In the anime it was because his regeneration also allowed him to learn Goku’s instant transmission.
Though the abridged version of getting the technique was eating dead yardratians, which cell didn’t do. In the anime Goku just learned it from them.
Maybe he inhaled some of the disintegrated Goku? :P
I think we were meant to assume that the explanation is the same. After all, Cell didn't learn it from the Yardratians, either.

I'm kinda mad they only listed AntfishTAS doing Mr Satan. He was also Didoria and Captain Ginyu. One of my favorite abridgers and voice actors, he played Kaiba's dad in ygotas, Barret in FFVII machinabridged, and created the most underrated abridged series ever (jojo's bizzare adventure abridged aka jjbatas, before jojo's was popular in the west), on top of being one of the few POC abridgers. Man is hilarious.
The art of 16 in the end credits, according to this one Reddit thread I found, was done by Malik Torihane of Dragon Ball New Age. I don't know anything beyond that, unfortunately.
Don't know if anyone explained it, but 17 and 18 are cyborgs, they're people that were turned into machines. 16 with an Android, machine from the get-go. You can assume it would have been harder to remove a nuclear bomb from a living organism than a mechanical one
16 didn't come back from the Shenron wish because he was an Android, while 17 and 18 were Cyborgs. 16 was 100% machine and had no soul to recover while 17 and 18 were once actual teenagers that were kidnapped by gero.
I just want to say out of all the groups I have watched and am watching react to this, you guys are my favorite, bar none.

Its been rather fun watching with you guys, so was Hellsing , and I think you wil continue to enjoy yugioh abridged, I also think you should consider Fate stay night unlimited blade works parody by project mouthwash, it's got alot of SAO parody voice actors ,the main character also voices kirito in SAO , and its about magic and fighting with heroes from the past to win the holy grail which is capable of granting the winner a wish .
The song cell sings as he dies is a cover of "My Way", by Frank Sinatra, a very old yet fitting song , it's one of those beautiful old songs from the early 20th century that, how do I put this, is a song that you deep down hope they will play at your funeral, cause he is singing basically about a life well lived and lived to its fullest .
There is also a few of the shorts for dbza and plenty of other good abridged series that are great to watch so here's to more fun times ahead .

Just to mention, Android 16 couldn't have been brought back because he was 100% robot, so he had no soul and couldn't be brought back. I'm still kind of mad they didn't wish for a exact copy of him with all the same memories and everything or something...
Now you guys should really check out Team Four Star's Final Fantasy 7 Machinabridged series. It's really funny, and also stays true to the original story of the game.
This was an amazing journey. After the epilogue, you guys gotta do the DBZA Kai episodes. They're really funny too!
BTW, when Yamcha asked to revive all people killed by Cell, 16 wasn't revived since he was never a person and therefore Shenron can't do it, unlike 17 'cos he's a cyborg. The irony is that 16 was more human than most
