The fact TFS made Gohan disturbing twisted with anger and more mercilessly savage than the actual canon Gohan is just.... Wow!

I mean... Considering the shit Gohan has gone through in both the abridged and canon versions...

I really wish they would have continued so they could have made gohan have suppressed rage through Buu saga. The Vegeta's sacrifice part would have been amazing.

What’s messed up is when they finally were gonna be brought back in super there was some bs about Pan being sick and they used the wish on her instead.
Filicide: "The murder of one's OWN child or children" Not the murder of someone elses it is the murder of your own. When Cell said Gohan had been Filicided he was suggesting that Goku had killed his own son by forcing him to fight cell. The ironic twist is Gohan is suggesting here that Cell has murdered his own children by pushing Gohan to the breaking point.
So, is it the same as Infanticide?

In reality gohan was talking about the pure love for battle and craving for a challenging fight that mostly pure blooded saiyans have that both goku and vegeta exhibit. The reason vegeta let Cell become perfect was for the challenge. Same reason why goku lets most of all his enemies charge up or is so excited by fighting powerful opponents. Now over confidence is apart of it. Gohan in his Super Saiyan 2 form finally got those traits. And due. To that saiyan DNA so did cell. Mention to a saiyan how absolutely overpowered an opponent could be and that gets them excited. They are warriors and they literally Live for battle.
So, just a little confirmation, you got it exactly right about Gohan beating himself up at the end; he let his ego and anger get in the way of killing Cell. Hence his comparison of himself to Vegeta - making themselves feel good about the kill rather than just doing the deed.
Ngl that kamehameha from gohan hits different in so many spots. Masako did a amazing job in this episode.

To this DAY goku still hasnt wished king kai back from that. In super (gohan is an adult now with a wife and daughter. They summoned shenron like 5 times since then and goku just keeps forgetting to wish king kai back lol)

Its definitely a rollercoaster, gohan's anger is basically unleashed and he let's loose all his frustration, anxiety, fears and his resentment towards goku not being the parent he needed him to be and becomes super sayian 2, riding that adrenaline high that power brings, it's like a cat , cats are not as sadistic as humans but regardless they often play with their food and that is the mistake gohan made.
Cause he backed cell into a corner, and just as gohan was the cat , cell was the rat ,and if you put a rat in a corner with no way out he will fight unpredictably to survive or go out swinging.
Also btw fillicide is murdering your own children , killing someone else's children is just regular old homicide.

Damn Jazz, you guys have a unique perspective of this series I haven't seen anywhere else. Ya'll don't treat this series as a parody of a popular show but like its own original series and that is very entertaining to watch.
BTW when Gohan was berating Goku for giving him advice he referenced all of Goku's major fights in the series. In the original series he let Vegeta go so he could be a better fight later, he let Freeza power up to 100% to teach him humility and for Cell he threw him a sensu bean and let his son fight him. Boy was spitting straight facts!

Is it just me or i feel it is MasakoX (voice actor) talking there and not Gohan. There was some time in my life when i was bullied. Who the hell knows about this pressure in your ears that happen to not many people. It mostly happen by a mix of fear, frustration from being too weak to retaliate and uncomprehension of why we have to suffer from the situation. Makes me wonder if it wasn't just his personal experience.

I think in the version - Gohan punched cell once, kicked cell once, cell did a kamehameha to destroy the earth, Gohan effortlessly countered, Gohan kicked cell and Android 16 popped out reverting cell.

2:11 - filicide is the murder of one's OWN child or children... it was cell taunting goku in the last episode for encouraging gohan to fight cell even though he was outmatched, basically dooming him to death. aka a form of filicide

If there is one criticism of this episode it’s that they didn’t show Cell getting even MORE pissed off because he couldn’t touch Gohan.
But the SILENCE in the motionless Kamehameha is just fuckin beautiful!
(At 10:12) Gohan brings up all the fights Goku neglect to the Finish, who could have wiped out everyone as they know it. Particularly Vegeta, Frieza and Cell himself.

@House Garrett Do you guys remember back in the Broly movie when King Kai said "He is going to be the death of me"? Well that scene in this part is a reference to it. Goku teleported Cell to King Kai's planet because Cell had 5 minutes to explosion, so Goku had to think fast to save the Earth.

Gohan 'screwed up' by not finishing off Cell when he had ample opportunity to do so. He could've killed him in his Perfect form with little effort, much less the Semi-Perfect form (which, as he himself notes, anyone with blonde hair over there could have). He decided to continue to rip the wings off the butterfly, giving in to his baser Saiyan nature (doing exactly what his dad and Vegeta do), allowing Cell to set up his attempt at exploding the planet and thus forcing Goku to step in and Instant Transmission Cell away from the planet.
So in a sense, yes, Gohan caused Goku's death.

Gohan saying Cell was boring him is a twofold joke. First was him mirroring Goku saying Frieza was boring him, but second was more subtle. During the episode where they moved Goku in the plane, he was moving on to cellular biology in his studies. He complains by saying "Cells are boring". He was both wrong (in that Cell was causing havoc and being generally anything but boring) and right (Once Gohan went Super Saiyan 2, Cell wasn't much of a challenge, so he couldn't test his new limits). Also, the Cell Jrs were supposed to be every bit as strong as Cell himself, so he should have realized just how screwed he was when Gohan was one-shotting them with no real effort.
And I love whenever Cell sang. Takahata101 not only does a good job with the songs, but he sings them in character. Mr. Sandman with Imperfect Cell's voice, Perfect Cell's PERFECT song, Suddenly, all done in character. It can't have been easy keeping in character for all of them.

Gohan actually did screw up. He could have finished cell off after he blew his body apart but he allowed cell to regenerate. He wondered if it was genetics when that's exactly what it was. Saiyans live for the thrill of battle. They like to enjoy and savior their fights. Which turns out to be their biggest strength and weakness. That gene skipped over Trunks tho
