The song is actually magic, and Garon is posessed, so the song is affecting him as a result. It isn't like some exorcism, but the song was supposed to either help or kill Garon.

Hoshido and Nohr are 2 kingdoms from Fire Emblem Fates, and the Hoshido version (the one while the signer, Azura is in white) is from Fire Emblem Fates:Birthright, while the Nohr version (Azura in black) is from Fire Emblem Fates:Conquest. The lyrics are different, but the title is the same. They still do the same effect I think, (I still haven’t played Conquest, and only like half of Birthright) Hope this helps :)
