Alincos Zepre I think fates was just a complete flop. Sure it does have some good things going for it, but it’s just disappointing. Fates had a lot of potential to be about a story where your choice will affect the story and such. But it was just executed so, so, SO poorly. Thankfully, FE3H is good so hopefully all future games we can all get a map.

In the birthright path, she doesn't know that Garon is corrupted, and the song is meant as a distraction so Corrin and the Birthright siblings can attack to try and kill him
In Conquest, she knows that Garon has been corrupted by Anankos, and the song has a curse imbued in it to try and purge Anankos from Garon. After the song fails to purge Anankos from Garon, she realizes it's too late to save him and he must be killed.

Nintendo should really hire Rena Strober for more of their games, her voice and singing is amazing. She would fit perfectly in a xenoblade chronicles game for example
Her singing is definitely better than her voice work in Fates though, probably since she does a higher pitch for actually dialogue…
Some people sing differently, compared to how they speak. Rena Strober is no exception, but I find that amazing: the fact that someone out there can shift their voice without meaning to.
Eh, I dunno. She's just not for me. I surprisingly like the way she sings the Nohr version of this cutscene, but I'm real meh on everything else she sang in this game. Her form isn't the problem, for example she pronounces the Ts in the Hoshidan version quite well (I specifically noticed it at 'scatters to', but my accent may be to blame for needing to be taught to enunciate that in choir), there's just something about her voice that either doesn't seem Azura or just doesn't hit my ear right. I feel the exact same way about Elsa's voice actor from the Frozen series. But it seems lots of people like her, so I'm probably the minority here. More power to her! She hopefully made good money for her work.

She played one of the central characters in Zero Time Dilemma and IMO, she didn't quite do it justice. Still a wonderful singer and a kind person who loves the FE fanbase

5/4 years later and this is still one of the most visually stunning moments in the franchise. Say what you want about Fates as a story, but everything else was pretty great.
Well the character design, character writing, and Birthright’s gameplay were definitely not great. The devs were hornier than usual.
@@mr.stuffdoer8483 eh, i think the character design was fine(outside of the feet, that was kinda weird). I don't think the gameplay was too bad in BR, and I would loop the character writing into story since it all comes down to the writing.
The gameplay was great. They fixed the broken pair up system that was awakening. And it makes you think twice before using certain types of weapons cuz if drawbacks like the silver ones. Conquest honestly is one of the best gameplay experiences in the franchise.
@@FabledTactician I agree but there are a few problems with the weapon system when it comes to special weapons, like Beruka's Axe. Why would you ever use another axe/club? Or Shining Bow for Priestesses, Subaki's Pike for early game naginata/lance use, Bold Lance for Generals, etcetera

If you haven’t played the games I’ll get conquest it’s much harder than birthright but the map design is top tier while birthright isn’t. The story is complete trash in this game btw. So don’t think to hard about it

TheNerdyGeek I just dont know why they designated a cutscene to it. It is pertinent to Azura's backstory, and she is the deuteragonist, so theres that.
They were mostly a marketing ploy in the e3 presentation of the game...so they had to include them in the game

Conquest in a nutshell
The only explanation I could think of was the fact that her song had special powers on different people. During the Hoshidan run through, Avatar does point out it seems as if the soldiers were all in a trance. Maybe Azura intentionally made her song affect Leo and Avatar in Conquest as well?

+Braven Craft Azura's song was to eliminate Anankos's control. And as I mention that, there's a good chance it affected Avatar in a similar way, you'd know if you played Hidden Truths
This is a 3ds game and the animations are just perfect.I just cant believe how good this looks. This is perfect 3D Modeling this took probably months to make. One of the reasons I started loving the FE series.

UGH I keep coming back to this song but one interesting thing I just noticed is the differentiation between how the accumulated water looks on the pan-out after “sing with me a song”.
In the BR version, it’s looks more flowy, the water is in wide, spaced out strokes. It’s calm and almost ethereal. In the conquest version, the water is cluttered and jumbled. It looks chaotic and fast, like they were made with a great rush of adrenaline. Both perfectly fit the vibes of their respective games!
Just thought I’d share-I still find the attention to detail so interesting!

I’ve read somewhere that in some cultures, captives aren’t allowed to wear shoes. (Also the developers wanted to make Corrin look more animalistic, so that’s part of the reason why they don’t wear shoes)
Dancing is much easier when you’re not wearing shoes, that could also be a possibility
