The most admirable thing about Polamalu is that he NEVER wanted to talk about himself. Always about team or other people. Most humble top tier pro athlete I've ever seen.
*Two legends. Troy was a titan on the field for us, and a very humble guy. Bill was a master play caller and fought for his players. It’s awesome to see these guys both go into the HOF together. Steelers Nation is proud!*
I miss Troy! We didn't get to watch him long enough. There will never be another one like him! It was like a work of art every Sunday, you never knew what he was going to do or pull off. I've never been so amazed by a player before and probably never will be again. Truly a special player and a special guy.
Steelers Nation LOVES you guys more than you'll ever know! Congratulations to you both. So deserving of this honor. And Troy, I know there will NEVER be another like you!
Two of my three favorite Steelers of all time (Jerome). Nice seeing Troy have some fun on camera. Seems like he had so much more to give personality wise.
He's humble but he likes/liked to have fun and joke around. Remember the head and shoulders commercials. He was kinda poking fun at himself doing those.
Troy was a savage on the football field + prayed doing each play, humble off the field with a contagious smile and a laugh of a person with the sweetest heart also has the best hair I ever seen on a man.
Played college ball when Troy was at the top of his game, our scheme was a 3-4, so our coaches had a lot of Steelers film. The things Troy did on the film was amazing, those highlights they show on NFL films is just the tip of the iceberg!
Congratulations to Bill Cowher and Hairum Scarum, who was was always an exemplary genteel and unassuming human being off the field. Throughout his playing career, Troy Polamalu was a valued ambassador for the NFL.
Thank you for bringing joy, passion, and inspiration to my life and being a model of striving for greatness and to be a better man. I love you both. Congratulations it is well deserved! 🇺🇸🖤💛
Everybody talks about NE being the ultimate dinasty, but i think you guys from pittsburgh are the real ultimate dinasty. I don't know much about the history of the Steelers, but seems that you guys are elite since forever. The steel curtain, Terry Bradshaw, Bill Cowher, Troy Polamalu, Mike Tomlin, Big Ben, even AB and Leveon Bell. 8 AFC championships and 6 SBs. Much Respect.
Was never a steeler fan but love watching troy play.he was a beast on the field and all fans can agree on how good he really was.you deserve this troy and thanks for all the great years
What a great day to be a Steeler fan. Troy, Bill, AND Donnie H.O.F. 2020. Congrats to all.....1974. What a year, eh? 4 drafted and one un-drafted players in the hall... Eat yer hearts out rest of league... Canton is gunna need to build an annex just fer the boys in black and gold.
This guy was Incredible. He was the total package: classy - respectful - humble - football I.Q. - Ball skills - hit like a linebacker - blitz - play the run. I am not a Steelers fan, but he have me chills. His effort was Relentless. Like a human-missile. Watch the video where Ray Lewis & Bettis The Bus talk about the Greatness of #43.
As a Life long Dallas Cowboys fan one thing that is a certainty is that we hate the Steelers. I honestly can’t stand them but this dude Troy is the best safety I’ve seen of 30yrs watching football. Polamalu was just awesome to watch.
I'm a lifelong Cowboys fan but I'm a football fan first. Coach Cowher is one of my fav coaches. Cowher is the kind of guy that if he demands something, he is fully willing to do the same. He's a lead from the front type of guy. Troy said it perfectly. Cowher gave them structure while allowing individuality and having their backs. Many blessings and congratulations to Troy. Great player and humble guy. Well deserved honor.
From an X browns fan I have to tell you ..I have watched The Steelers from the early 70s and tip my hat to you....your organization always comes through and puts these type of class acts out on the field. You guys have a Tried and true NFL team
Two great men right there. Great interview....alot of love and respect between those two. I graduated 2002 and got into the NFL around that time. I miss the days that flacco passes and all of a sudden the hair comes flying into the screen and tackles the receiver short of the first down.
You both deserved to be in the hall and for you to go in at the same time I thought was awesome! Troy besides James Harrison you 2 were my favorite 2 guys to watch play! I mean if someone did manage to get around James normally you would come flying out of now where and thump them for get threw the Dline. I loved how you both played with your passion for the game it is something you don't see out of many players today. I feel you guys both were so good if you were to ever be able to go back in time to the first Steel curtain with Joe, LC and the crew I think James and you Troy both would have fit in even with that group, you guys were that good of players!!! Thanks for all of the years of playing and hard work you both did. Thanks to you Troy for the plays you were able to do that NO ONE will ever be able to match!
When I see class people your looking at them Congratulations Coach and Troy for being inducted into the Hall of Fame you both deserve this and Donnie Shell also.
His timing on those flying sacks is something to behold. As a Bills fan this guy actually made me upset Pit isnt in our division. He was so fun to watch and how many D guys can you say that about. Congrats Troy and go Bills.
2023 almost coming to an end man I miss coach cowher and Troy. But how many people in Pittsburgh would welcome a come back for coach. Especially with the talent we have that needs leadership.
No No No way Thank you both for what you both did for the city of Pittsburgh and for Pittsburgh Steelers I'm just happy that both of you won superbowl 40 together the best coach and the best safety combination since Chuck Noll and Mel Blunt who is joining you both i love the both of you as player and as a coach but more importantly as the people that you both are
Two awesome steelers! I miss the look on cowhers face on the sidelines.. so mad. Troy was the fire on that defense for so long.. on a team known for great linebackers.. ✌ guys
Bill Cowher single handily got me into football. I knew nothing about football and was like why is Kordell Stewart playing QB and Running back the coach must be on something.......in reality he was on to something
The most admirable thing about Polamalu is that he NEVER wanted to talk about himself. Always about team or other people. Most humble top tier pro athlete I've ever seen.
100% in agreement.... The most humblest Superstar player ever...
The role model's role model ... if that makes sense
I'd say Barry Sanders but Polamalu is definitely one of the most humble I have ever seen.
Two classy guys. Steeler Nation love you guys. Let's not forget about Donnie Shell.
The only people that don't remember Donnie are the guys he hit. 😆
*Two legends. Troy was a titan on the field for us, and a very humble guy. Bill was a master play caller and fought for his players. It’s awesome to see these guys both go into the HOF together. Steelers Nation is proud!*
I'M A DIE HARD BEARS FAN BUT THIS IS SIMPLY BEATIFUL 2 WATCH. RESPECT 2 STEELER NATION.
TTV_zion penn beatiful
RESPECT!
TTV_zion penn .. cheers 🍻
Fake Chicago compliment👎
Bears fan too- how can you not admire that defense or this player- he's like Walter Payton but on Defense
For me Troy Polamalu is the greatest Strong Safety that ever played the game
People keep comparing him to Ed Reed. They are different positions! You can't compare those two!
@@johnnyson7474 both masters of their respective crafts
Alberto Medina Gonzàlez ... 100% !!! How many other Strong Safety’s can the avg fan name? Probably less then 5 🤣
Agreed
Never will there ever be another Troy.
Talk about a guy who transcended the position. Forever immortalized, Troy Palomalu.
I miss Troy! We didn't get to watch him long enough. There will never be another one like him! It was like a work of art every Sunday, you never knew what he was going to do or pull off. I've never been so amazed by a player before and probably never will be again. Truly a special player and a special guy.
Well put !
Go Steelers !
Yes this guy has a huge heart.
Steelers Nation LOVES you guys more than you'll ever know! Congratulations to you both. So deserving of this honor. And Troy, I know there will NEVER be another like you!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I agree, but I’m really hoping Minkah is close to what 43 was, and I’ve got a good feeling about it.
Two of my three favorite Steelers of all time (Jerome). Nice seeing Troy have some fun on camera. Seems like he had so much more to give personality wise.
Yeah I agree he had at least 3 more season's in him but nice to see he's on good term with how it played out. STEELER NATION 365 4 Life
He's humble but he likes/liked to have fun and joke around. Remember the head and shoulders commercials. He was kinda poking fun at himself doing those.
Can't ever remember him talking this much
Troy was a savage on the football field + prayed doing each play, humble off the field with a contagious smile and a laugh of a person with the sweetest heart also has the best hair I ever seen on a man.
Love the honest realness of Troy and coach in this clip!
They both useless

You gotta love Troy. Steelers Nation
Played college ball when Troy was at the top of his game, our scheme was a 3-4, so our coaches had a lot of Steelers film. The things Troy did on the film was amazing, those highlights they show on NFL films is just the tip of the iceberg!
