Troy is one of the NFL’s all-time greatest players. Just look at the highlights. Without him there’s no way the Steelers make it to those three Super Bowls.
Die Hard Cowboys Fan here. #43 Troy Polamalu was my one of my most favorite player to ever play in the NFL. He was a freak-show - he was so good. He amazed me . . . numerous times. Phenomenal (Ronnie-Lott-like) hitter, amazing (Deion-like) ball skills. Miss watching you Troy. You were special. Hope you are enjoying Life. Love Coach Cowher - too. (2) of the All Time Greats.
Troy was unbelievable at closing distance. If he got within 5 yds of you and was running he couldnt miss. He flew from one side of the field to the other in no time
Troy's vertical has to be off the charts. His ability to close was one of the best in the history of the league. It's one thing to be that fast, but not many other players had his ability to light someone up when he got there.
Troy definitely was just like Rod Woodson, Cowher made up for the mistake of letting Woodson go by trading up to get Troy and he made the right decision
Polamalu never deserved to lose a super bowl... hurts that that happened... if he was healthy it coulda changed things but oh well we lost to one of the greats in the super bowl Aaron Rodgers... much respect to this day for that super bowl. My boys still trying to get back!
It can be argued that Troy was the best defensive player in the history of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Saying that is perhaps more prestigious then being in the Hall of Fame itself. I would argue for Troy In that debate absolutely... he was that good.
Pittsburgh hasn't been the same since Bud Carson moved on and Chuck Noll retired. Cowher's defenses were better than average but nothing can touch the best defenses of all time in the 1970s.
@@johnnypastrana6727 the defenses under bill cower were grear. They were top ten every year and were number one or close to it routinely. Of course they weren't as good as the 70s Steelers defense. That's the best defense ever over an extended period of time with half the starting defense in the hall of fame. There will never be a defense like that again. That being said the Steelers under cower were an elite defense most years he was there.

💯watching him was art

Simply the best player on Earth for a stretch of his career.
polamolu was a mad man on the field.
George Burdine I agree

I can’t believe that Troy Polamalu wasn’t selected in the group of guys that were selected for the 100 year team
He was selected
Craig Lane maaaaaann for real
Ikr imo he deserved it
He was a finalist but didn't make it and yeah that was a SNUB.
Jealousy is a real thing up there! 😆
I love Troy, Coach Cowher, and my Steelers. Rich is pretty good stuff too
First Ballot Hall of Fame 🐐
Troy was a Ghosts. Where he was before the Snap. Isn't where he was after the Snap. He kept QB awake at nite.
I hope Troy is a first ballot HoF’er. I know his speech will have a solid segment on LeBeau. Can’t wait to hear it.
Dick LeBeau is actually the one to enshrine TP later today!
I watch my 49er play every Sunday . switch channel to the Steeler game . just to watch #43 play. . Troy is a beast ..
Watching him was just beautiful
This guy is a leagend in my town he's the Crims n chin
Greatest player ever!
His most memorable play was when he lined up in the C gap on a field goal... 🤷🏽♂️
Lmao!!!
1st ballot hall of famer........ to the turd that only ever saw him line up in the C gap
I’ve never seen anyone do that then and now💯
David Noel the only thing that really matters anymore is whether they are a kneeler or not. 🤷🏽♂️
Sportsball is dying.
Way2go Bill cowher an NFL Hall of Famer.
And I’m so blessed to grow up as Steelers fan and get to watch a first ballot HOF play
Not too bad for a guy the Steelers traded up in the 1st round for the 1st time in the teams history to get.
Troy always flashed across your TV screen. Then BAM !!!!
Troy definitely was just like Rod Woodson, Cowher made up for the mistake of letting Woodson go by trading up to get Troy and he made the right decision
That explains why Rod didnt think he deserved HOF first ballot lol

Boy uso you gave your best and finished 1 of the best in N.F.L 👍
Amazing

Mean Joe Green was the best Steelers defensive player
Greene, Blount, Woodson, Ham, Lambert, Troy
@@johnclark8973 Best name for a Pittsburgh defensive player? Dwight White
💯
Electrifying;
i miss coach Cowher pittsburgh hasn't been the same on defense since he retired. i like Pittsburgh when they focused more on defense.

I'd much rather watch a pathetic offense than a pathetic defense
Until now. WOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
Michael Perriello yeahhhhhh baby

I miss Troy …
43 was unique … just ask Pat McAfee !!!!!!!!
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
🖤💛
Troy is better described as a good HUMAN!!!
He would study
Played so loud with a soft voice that’s so fucking awesome. A lot of players talk so loud but don’t play with half of what Troy played with
I think he had that instinct that LT had
🖤💛🖤💛🖤💛🖤
DC Troy:;
The flying Hawaiian baby
Samoan
Couldn't find a cool word that rhymes with Hawaiian
I mean samoan
Im not offended. He probably would be. Lol
@@bruce0767 that's the last thing I would want. That dude was one of my favorites. I even grew my son's hair out like him
The absorption of film is no surprise. Not instinct. Preparation.
money for nothing
