A good tip for sponging, idk if you showed it and i'm just parroting but use some tape to take off any fuzzies on the sponge! That way you keep your ombre clean.
You have to press the sky sky button twice to have it stay on. I know the pressons aren’t enough to catch the light to stay on so if you press it twice it will stay on during that time.

Hi, does filling the free edge after you've done the design not make the gel last as long? As it's not capped if your filling the free edge after you've done the design, will it not peel off? Ps your nails are bomb! 💅💗
I saw your post on ig about this set, and I was hoping that you would post the video for it. I fell in love the moment that I saw the photo. I mean, this set is just perfect. The colors are absolutely freaking stunning, and that glitter was PERFECT for this set since you said that it had a green/yellow tint to it. This set is pure perfection, I swear. 😍 I love the makartt white and black gel polishes. I hated the white and black from both igel and nail addict. I actually tried the makartt black and white because of you, so thank you for that. 😂 If you want a plain, flat white glitter (with no other colors and no color shift), check your local Walmart or Dollar Tree because I've found some nice white and black glitters from both of those places, but Michael's also has a really nice white, called Snow, that I love. If you want more of a sparkly white (not really iridescent, but has a sparkle and a silver kind of color in it), check out The Attitude Shop glitters. I absolutely LOVE her glitter collection! But anyway. Pure perfection. I cannot ombre to save my life, and I suck at French tips as well, even though I absolutely love them. 🙄
I've also bought some really nice glitters from Dollar General as well. I know they seem like weird places to buy nail art from, but I highly recommend checking Walmart, Dollar Tree and Dollar General because you'd be surprised at what you'll find there. I was. My jaw hit the floor when I found some really nice nail art from those places. 😂
A hack to stop the led lamp from sensing your hands is to cover the sensors with tape and using a sharpie to color over it. There should be two holes in the inside of your lamp at the start those are the sensors.

Hello 👋 so does that nail glue dries fast for what I see in the video I use gel glue same brand as you white gel but it’s really runny. Question is do they come out faster? Since I don’t see you cure the nail glue? My gel glue runs so fast and really hated.
I can’t believe you got the sponge method to work with gel polish. I have tried n tried to ombré with gels, using the ombré brush and all I get it bubbles in the gel and it looks terrible. So I always use regular polish so I can ombré with the sponge. I’m totally gonna try it with gel.
I can't ombre to save my life. 🙄 I've tried the sponge method, the ombre brush method and even a detailer brush method, but I just cannot do it. I even bought a $160 airbrush machine, but I absolutely hate using that thing because it's a HUGE hassle in its own way. 😂 I've seen some people that use clear acrylic between each layer of ombre, using the sponge method, and they swear by it. I've never tried it myself, but basically they do the sponge method, then pour clear acrylic over the wet gel, then cure and dust it off before doing the next layer. It seems to work from what I've seen. It usually only takes them 2-3 layers, that's it. 🤷♀️ Maybe it will work for you as well as it does for them?

I know this question is for Val, but the full cover tips can shrink. That is usually caused by excess gel on the sides, but it can also happen if you're using A LOT of gel. It happens to me when I use an extremely sheer color that requires 3+ layers to make it opaque or if I'm doing a design that requires 5+ layers of gel. Like, if I'm doing a design that has encapsulated glitter, then I'll use base coat, multiple layers of the gel color, then encapsulating the glitter with more base coat, then top coat. It generally happens when your gel builds up on the sides. Just take your finger (with gloves on, of course. Don't be like me and touch uncured gel with your skin), a lint free wipe or even a clean up brush and wipe away any excess gel from the sides before curing. Do that with every layer, even base/top coat, and see if that's the issue. I hope that helps. 😊

@@_art.honest you are so welcome! Having a proper wattage lamp is also a huge help. I can't remember exactly what wattage mine is, but it's an awesome lamp, and I paid less than $30 for it on amazon. The seller even shipped me a replacement one IMMEDIATELY after I messaged them about having an issue with the first one. I've had it for probably over a year now, and I love it.

I didn't know that there were this many different sizes, shapes, etc. I also didn't know that different brands, and different shapes, could vary in size. Not until I started buying decent tips and making handmade press ons. 😂 And you are so welcome, hun! ❤ I know what it's like to have a question that you really need an answer to, so I try to chime in and help where I can. 😊
You can find the 20mm brushes on amazon, but Michael's also has some SUPERRRRRRRR long brushes in the paint section. I found one at Michael's that is longer than 25mm, if I'm not mistaken. But search for 20mm liner or detailer brushes on amazon, and you should find some. I have the 5 pack of beetles brushes and I believe that it comes with a 20mm as the longest brush, and I recommend those brushes to everyone. Super affordable, amazing quality and beautiful design. 😊

How are we supposed to apply your nails? Glue, tabs, maybe builder gel?
With glue or tabs if you prefer that. Gel will not fully cure, light cannot go through the polish.
