Hey Val yes I did a video a while ago because I didn't have blooming gel and wanted to see if base gel would work and it did I was so impressed I also found out of all the base coats I have used Makartt base gel works the best for it to bloom. I tried about 5 different ones :) but anyways girl this set is so so so pretty I love the colors the marble the shape the length EVERYTHING IS AMAZING thanks for sharing friend ❤️

Beautiful set!!! Try gloss it and matte it from not polish, they are 2 of the best top coats out there. I also like Zulay’s top coats also.

Val you are absolutely amazing.. i swear i love watching your channel.. i kinda binge watch your videos at night when I’m in bed on my cpap machine. Your videos give me a boost cuz I’m still skeptical about doing nails on myself again.. cuz it’s so easy to do my left hand. But when it comes to doing my right hand it literally takes me forever. I love using beetles nail polish. They are so smooth.. and acrylic is not my favorite cuz i mess up everytime cuz idk 🤷🏽♀️ if I’m doing the ratio right. I’ve tried polygel and i love it. Im newww to your channel , took your advice and wanted to comment because i love french nails. Order a whole bunch of equipment just to start making my own press ons and save coin! Lol i bought like this french tip stamp on amazon , i seen like the video under the item to see how it works, im not sure if i could do this type of style on their, ( like water color type of thing) but im going to give it a try and the way you did! Valentino has a good top and base coat, that is what I use and they have other good products.

The joya mia top coat in the purpleish pink bottle on Amazon is only $8 for a really big thing of it and it's non yellowing and stays shiny for so long. Highly recommend trying it. And iGel beauty is my fav top coat to but I have the same issue with the shipping so when I buy it I buy it in bulk so that I don't have to keep ordering so often
Definitely try Kupa matte top coat and always clean with alcohol after cured than they don’t yellow
Thanks so much there stunning I’m learning myself at home I must admit it is a struggle being able to afford products being disabled and living on a very low income but I have found that doing nails really helps me relax and with my depression I would love to start a TH-cam channel on nails 💅🏻 before reaching 50 next year it’s a passion of mine I’ve just been trying so hard to get stuff to even start a few people have offered help but let me down but I’m sure slowly but surly I’ll get there them beetles gel’s look so creamy and great cover I’m in the U.K. England shipping and tax’s are a nightmare on lot’s of products I’d love to buy AliExpress do some really beautiful nail products I don’t know 🤷♀️ if u have tried them yet they also do massive pots of top coats unfortunately I’ve not been able to try them though I get what u mean about yellowing it’s so annoying anyway great video 🥰🥰🥰 take care stay safe

@Shenice Says I was wondering the same thing. The acetone I use on my gel polish will take it off. My acetone must be to strong. Ive tried using alcohol and that worked for me.
@@SheniceSays214 hi im sorry what do you mean by what type of nails ? In the video im wiping the gel with 100% pure acetone not the nail itself and if you dont soak your brush , nothing happens to the gel polish
@@toyia8158 hi I use 100% pure acetone and ive never had an issue. I use barely any on the brush. I dip the brush into the acetone then wipe the access on a paper towel so that the gel doesnt get saturated in it and I only use whats left on the very tip. I noticed that using alcohol doesnt get the cleanest sharpest smile line like acetone does 🤍 the only way the acetone would penetrate the gel or remove it would be if I have my brush soaked in acetone because gel polish doesnt just come off with one swipe like I do to get my french tips , it has to be soaked to be removed once it’s cured

Hello; new subscriber here...This set is beautiful. I love the beetles brand too but I have the older version and from your video it looks like they upgraded the pigment and coverage quality. The ones I have are beautiful colors but I had to use 2 to 3 coats to get full coverage so I'll be trying out these new ones. Thank you for sharing. I love how you didn't have to over think it to create such a gorgeous design. I always look for designs that won't take me hours to do. Young Nails have nice top coats; really good consistency. Not too thick or thin. One is a non wipe top coat and it's super glossy and they also have a stain resistant top coat that's amazing. All of them are super shiny; I'm not sure if they have a matte one though. The stain resistant one is $15 (a little pricey but you get a good amount and the quality is good.) Hope that helps.
I like Venalisa Top Coats and they are fairly affordable.

The design is gorgeous! My only concern is the cross contamination from brushing on the colors straight from the bottle's brush. Does this not change the color of each polish once the brush is immediately put back into the bottle? I'm not being critical. I really want to know. I always either put each color on a palette or would have a tile or pallet to swipe the brush on before putting it back in the bottle, but if this works just as well, I suppose I could skip that step. Again, your work is beautiful! 🙂
The color crossing wouldn’t be noticeable in the browns since it’s getting mixed with brown but you would definitely see it in the white. It hurt my heart when she put the white back in the bottle without wiping off the brush first

Hay Val have u tried the gel top coat from Glitz assesories and such i jus fell in luv with it please try it and they have so many nail gems and all kinds of stuff.
I stick with beetles top and base coats
I was very surprised with Imethod beauties topcoat it is actually really shiny and pretty and it lasts too. Idk if you have tried it or not but it surprised me for sure:)

Watching your videos literally makes me feel like I’m ft my bestie!! I have a stupid question that’s probably common sense. But assuming you cure in between coats such as base coat, design, then top coat. Does the acetone not remove the base coat when you’re using it to clean up? And do you use any type of acetone or does it have to be a certain kind? Thank you for being so humble and having an amazing channel!

Love the design and the colors. I died a little on the inside when the white gel polish brush was covered in brown and then went back into the bottle. Why not just wipe the brushes off before putting them back? Or just use a palette?

Hi! Thats only happened to me when I have my bottle of gel polish by my lamp ( it can cure through ik its weird ) or if My brush goes by the lamp really quick while its on, itll cure parts of gel that was on the brush and make it lumpy
This set is so beautiful! and just like you said I love that each marble nail can look different. It helps them stand out more. Currently, I use the beetles top coat, I have also used the drizzle topcoat from amazon it's decent but I've been sticking with beetles.

Same ! Had to go back to zulays until I find a good one 🥺
I use base coat, apply gems, cure , then top coat all around the gems to seal, just make sure not to get top coat on top of them unless they are caviar beads. In that case, you must cover them to keep them from tarnishing. This is how most professionals do this. The gems stay on my clients for 3 weeks or longer.
Have you tried IBD top coat it leaves a glass finish.

Girl! Do you ever have issues with top coat and tiny little clumps???? I swear my last set looked like it was having the measles or some thing. And it’s iGel. I’m so frustrated. I don’t understand why this keeps happening. To all my top coats. I do use top coat everyday for my press ons but it’s gel. So why is it clumping? If you have any ideas or advice that be great. Hi ! That’s happened to me before and it was only when my bottle was sitting in front of the uv lamp so some of the gel cured through ( ik super weird ) and the other time its happened was when my top coat brush went by the lamp while the light was on so bits of the top coat on the brush cured and became lumpy , the only other thing thats also happened to me is little air bubbles and that happens when its super super cold and I just keep brushing the top coat over the nail a few times before curing so it gets rid of any bubbles, and then lastly the only other thing could be dust contamination, i just try to keep my top coat from going over any lint or dust on the nail and make sure the nail is completely clean so that my bottle doesnt get any dust in it to create lumps in my top coat 💓 I hope this helps !
I bet you it's your over head lamp. The lamp at your desk so you can see. It happened to me. As I was painting it on, it stared to cure, but because I was polishing a nail, I broke up the parts that were curing and brushed that into the nails. It was like little shards of glass. Which made lumps..
I found this happened with a LED light, more than an UV light, and it happened more with cheaper, discount brands rather than the expensive name brands. The cheap stuff off Aliexpress, that was a few dollars a bottle.
So, I try to paint fast, once product is on, try not to touch it, as to break it. I also moved my lamp a bit, so its more to the side, and not directly over the nail I was painting.
That was also the 1st and last time I tried those polishes...
It could happen to a top and base coat too...
What alcohol do you use because I used Regular nail polish remover acetone and it made my gel nail polish act weird and then I tried to use water to remove the excess paint do you use acetone 100% alcohol?
Is there a benefit to using the acetone for the french smile line vs. using rubbing alcohol?
What kind of full coverage nails do you use
First of all you should have all the subscribers and that's just 🗣Period..You the reason I won't give up n thats a big deal to me..So the acetone won't bother the base color u put down because it's cured?
