Would love to see a part 2 since there’s obviously SO much more out there. I’m a Jackson fanboy so more Jackson stuff would be cool. Schecter also has some rad ones and ESP too. Arguably one of my favorite tier rankings I’ve seen recently.
@@SavitTheGoalie I was thinking of getting one but I can’t decide because half the people I see think their the best guitars of all time and the other half says their the worst so I don’t know what to decide
Only guitar I would add to the God tier is the Jackson Rhoads. Goes along with what you said about the Wolfgang and les paul, it's so iconic, it's almost no longer a signature anymore. Besides that, love you decisions and reasoning behind them!
Bro the snakebyte aside from the camo is a sick ass guitar to play on. I have the white one. My personal favorite of all the signature guitars that I’ve tried. Super comfortable for thrashing
Cool rankings! I agree on the JP15/Majesty rankings. The JP guitars feel like they've transcended 'signature' status in the way the Wolfgang and Les Paul have at this point, and they are just a dream to play. The Majesty looks a bit extra to me, and I'm also not a shredder in the slightest so it feels like it would be so wasted on me. My other fav on this list is the the Misha signature Strat. Way too pricey for me, but its existence was instrumental in my decision to give Strats a try again and lead me to pick up my American Pro II Strat.
This was a cool and personal tier list, very much enjoyed it! Also, as an average floating trem enjoyer, it makes me really happy to see you getting a taste of them too; they can be some work sometimes, but man are they worth it...
You gotta put Synyster's signature guitar if we're talking about signatures. that guitar is kinda iconic too. i know not a lot of people like A7X but the guitar is good.
I definitely agree with this list. Also love classic style guitars with a metal flare. Love the Jim root tele. So awesome that a shape so often associated with country was made into a metal guitar. The only difference is I would have put the Loomis kelly higher, the only thing I would change on it is the pickups.
The Ibanez Jem or Jem Jr, can be a great metal gutair. I have a Jem Jr. ,I put a Dimarzio Super 3 in the bridge & a PAF Pro in the neck , a Floyd Rose Original floating trem with purple titanium inserts & tuning screws , plus the trem has a F U Tone big brass block. So yes I've done a few upgrades but it is an awesome metal & rock gutair!
I was debating on buying a super 3 but I didn't know if it would sound completely off with my rig just because of the type of pickups they are. Do you have to do significant adjustments on your amp compared to your other guitars with those pickups?
@@beefnacos6258 the Dimarzio Super 3 is a much hotter pickup. Phil Collen uses them & a few other big names. I don't have to turn the gain or volume up as much as my other gutairs. I highly recommend the Super 3.
Pretty cool list that makes perfect sense based on your prefacing. There's a couple of offshoots based on what you said you wanted but they are still valid. There's just a couple of things that you just can't explain why you like it or is just so good that you can't ignore.
The Mick Thomson soloist is amazing and the fixed Floyd is as quick and easy as a Hipshot bridge to set up. I love the neck profile and Mick blackouts are killer.
******* Wes Borland's old school signature Yamaha CV820WB is still my #1 favorite signature guitar!!!!! They still go for $2k on the used market...20 years later lol.
God tier for me would be...(in no order) 1. YJM strat. Everyone needs a nice "formal" strat. Plus I love scalloped boards. 2. Paul Gilbert FRM. I love the iceman and the "fireman" is just a reverse iceman, which I think is cool. Plus, PG is the GOAT. 3. Kirk Hammett KH2. In the purple sparkle finish. I love purple and I love sparkle finishes. 4. Dime 333. Love the ML shape and the dimebolt and dimeslime finishes are fi-yahhh. 5. James Hetfield MX EXPLORER. Not quite a sig, but kind of is. Tje explorer is my favorite guitar of all time and the MXs he played back in the late 80s, early 90s are legendary. Edit: I almost forgot the Bill Kelliher golden axe explorer. An explorer in goldburst. Nuff said. 🤘🤘
I haven't seen that Tosin Abasi ebmm guitar yet. I must say I kind of like the look. The shape of guitars hasn't changed a lot over the years. They're have definitely been new shapes attempted but I haven't ever seen one I like very much. This one is interesting though. It really does look a little futuristic. I dunno what I think for sure but thanks for opening my eyes to this one!
I have the burl Jason Richardson 7. It’s an amazing guitar and what the images don’t show is how the lower horn is tapered. It’s officially getting more attention than my Les Paul Standard
I'd love to have the white Jim Root Jazzmaster someday. Such an awesome stripped down look. Jim Root makes a Jazzmaster look like a toy with how tall he is.
Hey this might be stupid with the amount of extra work and editing it’d take but, showing a pic of the guitar in a full size image would make this video 1000000 better imo. I think me as well as a lot of other players aren’t familiar with every single guitar on here. Great video none the less though !
I have a Schecter DJ Ashba signature. You should definitely check it out. It checks A LOT of boxes and is LOADED spec-wise. Super Strat...check. Floyd 1500 that is down only like EVH...so it's on the deck and not recessed...better tuning stability. It's got an EMG 81 in the bridge and a Sustainiac in the neck. Also a killswitch. And it's got the Jim Root tele color scheme (kinda)...it's flat white with black racing stripes. It's got a bolt on maple neck with an ebony board and really cool "birds on a wire" inlay where it looks like crows are sitting on the strings. It is a solid guitar. I also have a Jackson Scott Ian King V that is pretty rad...candy apple red. It's pointy, but made to look like a vintage Gibson V. Jackson skimps on the hardware though....no Graphtech nut or Tone Pros bridge like my much cheaper Schecter singlecut. IMO Schecter is the best bang for the buck. I'm telling you...check out the DJ Ashba signature from Schecter. I also think Zakk Wylde Nomad is cool, but that's the only shape of his that I dig. I always wanted to try the Jackson Dominion and I love the tone especially with the Dimarzio Dominion pickups, but I also want to try the Jim Root Tele...especially since it has the same color scheme as my DJ Ashba.
The dean from hell is an absolutely awesome piece. I'm a bass player, but that guitar makes me pick it up and jam pretty often. The floyd rose is a bit of a pain, but it's awesome.
I think with the Solar brand, technically all of the guitars are his signature guitar since he is the owner of the brand hahah, but makes sense. I am planning to finally just suck it up and convince myself to save up for the Solar V, the string through body Canibalismo one. I love the blood red finish and I've wanted a 6 string guitar that is 1. reliable 2. has a "hard tail" style bridge (or string through but pretty much the same for me) because I'm so over dealing with floyds (except for with my favorite guitar of all time the Jackson Soloist SLX Lightning Blue) and 3. One that isn't the same strat shape 99% of guitars in Metal has nowadays. It's just like, I want something more extreme, but BC Rich would take too long to save up for and I don't really enjoy the trust factor when it comes to shopping on let's say eBay or Reverb so for me Solar seems like the best option overall. Especially if you consider what the brand means to me. I've watched Ola for such a long time now and I'm not sure what got me into him video wise but I remember just instantly falling in love with how awesome he was as a guy and given that he's a fellow Swede it's easier to "bond" during Sunday with Ola because it's kinda true that Swedes do have a sort of similar way of being when it comes to certain things. And for me it would make the most sense, because I'll be supporting someone where I know exactly where the funds are going and just overall I've always wanted to try and support Ola and the best way I can think of is by getting something amazing that he has visionalized in his head and made a reality. Because to me, Solar Guitars is like the perfect Metal guitar. He has normal finishes, crazy finishes, all kinds of shapes and styles that'll fit any part of Metal and also the inlay that's usually at the 12th fret just looks sick as hell. So yeah, definitely determined now to get me a Solar!
I recently brought an Ibanez Jiva - Nita Strauss signature and it has fucking teeth man its such a dope guitar. Pickups are amazing for pinch harmonics. Beautiful gain. The body is very slim which won't be for everyone but if you're a fan of Ibanez S series then I highly recommend it - fucken cool guitar if you like making lots of weird and LOUD noises!
