dude your guitar sounds sick! i have basically the same gear, do you keep your input gain at 0 on your focusrite and inside gojira? 👀 i cant get mine to sound any where near what yours does!
I actually keep the input gain on Focusrite so high, that it almost clips, it must be as high as it could, 'cause the pickups have so low output. Then I boosted the OUTPUT gain in Gojira +8 dB. Andrew Baena has a good video about this guitar too, he boosted the INPUT gain in Gojira +6 dB.
@@LateHonkola would you be down to share the preset you used if you happen to have it saved? I’ve tried setting the inputs and outputs as you suggested but I feel like I really lacking clarity no matter what I try.. if not it’s okay I’ll figure it out someday haha
I actually sold that last autumn.. 😅 It was a good guitar, but the scale and overall lenght of the guitar made it too clumsy for my live playing... I really tried, but I just didn't get used to it. Especially 'cause the music we're playing in my band Kollectivist is quite technical. The 29.75" scale is just too long for my playing, I prefer 27". And the pickups need A LOT of boost...
They're close being too floppy, but with that tuning they worked surprisingly well. If the tuning would've one (or even aa half) step lower, they definitely would've be too floppy.
gretsch becoming loved metal guitars is one of the funniest developments of the past few years.
Clicked for the guitar, stayed for the song! Really nice!
Reminds me of the band Sadness. Love it
Damn! This made me feel things 🥲
Good shit, man 🔥
Just came to hear the quality of the guitar and then you hit me in the feels! Good shit man!
dang... that was beautiful man. gorgeous guitar too, love the way Gretsch pups sound super heavy like this \m/
Thanks! The Gretsch pickups have actually REALLY low output, I had to boost the input gain a lot...
yeah i actually find i enjoy the low output+high gain combo tho, I use a single coil Strat for metal haha@@LateHonkola
favorite brand especially hollow body
Love this! Want to pull the trigger on one of these and found one for $420 on reverb
i just bought this guitar for both of my prog metal projects im so in love! i love the tone so much! you make this guitar shine for sure!
Just was randomly clicking around baritones on here and happened upon this video, and now keep coming back to hear the song. Very well done!
Beautiful melodies. Thank you for sharing.
all i can say is WOW, beautiful stuff brother \m/
CRUSHING! What an incredibly stirring....demo? Hopefully you used this somewhere!
sounds great
Awesome Shoegaze Metal Vibes here!
wacth till the end, and it great.
No disrespect to your band Kollectivist, but your solo projects for me sound sooo much better, you really should consider this direction🤘🤘🤘
Very nice
that's why the guitarist of loathe uses one!!
Have mine tuned all the way down to A0

@@LateHonkola okay sick! Thank you for the info, I’ll go check out Andrew’s video and then I’ll see if I can rectify my tone 😅

@@LateHonkola omg you’re a legend, thank you! 🙏
Came to listen to the guitar but discovered Great music. Do you have it released?
Unfortunately haven't released it yet, but definitely gonna do that at some point!
Have you ever tried the PRS se 277 bro? Love to hear your opinion
Unfortunately I haven't tried that one out yet... I want tho!
This is amazing, do you have a project that sounds like this?
My solo music (as "Late Honkola") sounds pretty close to this. This song is actually composed for that project.
As Bruce Wayne asked, "does it come in black"?
What? This is like the only video of u playing this beautiful Gretsch baritone what happened?!

Is that Drop D#/Eb (an octave down) standard or is only the 6th string dropped?
The 6th string is dropped a full step compared to other strings, the 5 other strings are basically in A# standard tuning (D#-A#-D#-G#-C-F).
@@LateHonkola Thank you for replying and the info.
do you find these string gauges work well for tuning this low? like it’s not too floppy?
They're close being too floppy, but with that tuning they worked surprisingly well. If the tuning would've one (or even aa half) step lower, they definitely would've be too floppy.
Why do you using so fat strings (80-56-44-30-18-13) for DROP D tune??? It's a half-tone lower than standart, right? 80 string for drop D???
it's "double" drop D#, it's octave lower than regular drop D#.
@@LateHonkola oh my... cool)))
Waiting to hear actual guitar instead of these noises.
Wtf duz that means?
