I am from New York area, I would say these burgers are more of a smashed burger (thin beef patty and smash down with a spatula), and not necessarily a New York burger (as there is so much variety). Some people prefer a thick more juicy burger (I do not). If a burger or cheesesteak is too dry, I just ensure to put extra sauce on it. I definitely prefer a thin burger (and you can always just add more beef patties if you like it thicker).

With such a title this basically means to even thrive in the city even the mediocre joints need to be above average in terms of taste and quality and forget about being stationed in Manhattan if you ain't competitive. Wow this a perfect Cheese Burger, although I would caramelize the onions a little more. People saying this a heart attack burger are crazy. I been eating stuff like this all my life and been 200 - 205 lbs all my adult life. I am a cheese fanatic eat it almost everyday. Keep doing what your doing in this restaurant, it looks so tasty. I've never heard of a new york style burger. This is a smash burger which I've never associated with New York particularly.
