i liked the handle and the TIP of the LMF II, but it needs a different STEEL!!!
Interesting how the Gerber LMF II Infantry is built up, with the "electrical gap", but this knife can't work as a survival-knife, it is a must fail construction!

I wish the manufacturers wouldn't be afraid to show buyers the tangs of their knives. Even rat tail tangs like in Mora Companion HD aren't a weak point if the steel is good. Videos like this one are precious, thanks 👍

The reason I never caught on with this knife was that for a long time, Gerber made a switch from a superior steel (12c27) to 420c and still advertised the 420C as the 12C27...
