Nice vid! Having the swarmers actually consume enough ammo for you to feel it would be nice. They absolutely need some sort of nerf like you suggested, so oppressive, a small investment providing so much DPS and coverage. Units in general feel weak, especially since it's annoying to use T3 ground with their bad pathing and slow speed, so you're practically stuck with zenith+flare compositions in a proper battle

Instead of unit damage reduction, increase unit build times to prevent early Flare zerging. The current state you have set up promotes stagnation and crash cheese.
The problem with the rule options available is it applies to entire categories. I can increase the build time or expense of _all_ units. I can decrease the damage of _all_ units or _all_ buildings. No good way the surgically target just the overpowered stuff without causing desync problems. And the developer has F'd off for two months now, so I can't even argue about balance fixes. Having just a simple little boolean rule that disables all crash damage would be wonderful.

It'll require more careful planning and expenditure of forces, making players more sensitive to losses, but with the greater amount of unit control that came with the "We want to be an RTS but we haven't figured out control groups" patch it provides a better balance anyway.
I think you were too concentrated in attacking orange with ground units , you could just attack with zeniths and finish orange quickly so that you can attack green easier
Watching how you talk about balancing the game and upgrading you economy with some people in the yelling at each othe because one of them did something wrong is hilarious, like in 15:00 where someone gets angry on the other one
Shame there's no "kamikaze" command. Then you could just logic a flare to grab pyratite and kamikaze on whatever structure. At the moment I need a tower to shoot the flare down
Oh goodness no no no. Wrong. What you describe would be bad, terrible, and unfun. Unit death bombing is too powerful, especially given the core destruction kills all buildings in a hex mechanic. It can't be defended against with a reasonable cost and would degrade every single game into only flare bombing is viable. When v7 first dropped, it _was_ like that, anyway, via unit crash damage. Any hex could be taken regardless of defenses by moving a big enough pile of flares over the core. They get shot down and crash damage it to win. It was degenerate gameplay, and luckily I was able to lobby for a game configuration rule to turn off crash damage. So now, luckily, people get to play with other game content too, and not only flares.
