- This vacuum is current for sale on ebay UK for £55 delivered if you’re interested. It’s only been used during this video. My eBay name is ibaisaics_emporium.
This Shop Vac is a powerful vacuum and blower but a bit noisy and bulky. Probably best for DIY and mucky jobs you wouldn’t use your domestic vacuum for. - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต
I think you need to invest in an AirTag for your box opener 😂 I believe the original Shop-Vac company went bankrupt a couple of years ago, and was bought by a Chinese firm. I think the US offices were remained opened, but who knows for how much longer before its all shipped overseas.
Yes they did go bankrupt during covid. The company was put up for sale with the condition that the workers did not want it moved overseas or to lose their jobs. The Chinese company that makes Hyper Tough tools for Walmart is who bought them. The company has remained in place and remained in the USA, and the new owner just supplies the money and keeps their bank account funded.
The biggest problem with this and most of these smaller shop vacs is the hose is far too narrow, it needs to be as wide as the opening on the machine 3" min
It's the same as the water physics trick they use for cheap garden hoses. Because water can't be compressed, by making the hose narrower, they can increase the water pressure and make it squirt more water. Same for vacuums. They will make the hose narrower to increase the suction and make it more powerful without adding a larger motor (to keep cost down). Although in this case the narrow hose is likely to comply with UK regulations because they had to keep the motor small.
@@huskyvacs but that's no good in a workshop environment, hook it up to a miter saw or a plane and it'll clog very quickly. I have a Karcher shop vac with a very similar diameter hose and it hopeless for anything more than sawdust.
@@gadgetboy38 I never said it was. You asked why the hose was so narrow, and that's why. For hooking a shop vac up to a power tool, all you need is a Shop Vac adapter kit (will fit all tubing and hoses to all brands that match the diameter) and a secondary smaller generic hose to go from the end of the big hose to the tool.
@@huskyvacs connecting it to a power tool isn't the issue, its trying to vacuum larger debris which you would find in a shop.
@@gadgetboy38 There are larger hose options for these machines and not just from Shop-Vac, Ridgid makes a 2.5" hose option that's 20 ft long. Also it's interesting to see that competitors make the hose kits universal making them fit other machines. Not unlike the fairly universal systems that central/ducted vacuum systems use.
I have never seen a Shop Vac with a socket in the US, must be exclusive for the UK.
I would love if you did a big mess test with it☺️
14:10 it might have a safety trigger where it will only turn on once something is plugged into it, to stop maybe kids from turning it on and getting shocked
I think it's more of an auto-turn on - the vacuum turns on when you turn on the (sander), turns off when the sander turns off. Exactly as you'd want to to. That's why it's not lableled as just an extension socket.
Do a Festool ct mini
Having a bit of a time with that Shop Vac are you, Roger?
26:04 😂”I needed to use the handle end of a screwdriver to get that off. It did not want to come” 😂😂
I’m not sure why you find that amusing.

Which of the Numatic, Sebo and Miele canisters do you think are better for homes than the Shop-Vac in this video?
Any of them.
My dad has one
8:50 don't say that in front of your mum
Can, You Nilfisk VP300 Vacuum Cleaner Please And Thank You
I will be showing a Nilfisk soon, but not that model.
"Very Ridgid" Sorry, Roger, that's the competitor brand from Emerson Electric. Just joking. I wouldn't use that brush for dusting.
That brush is for sweeping sawdust up off projects and the workbench. Remember: this is not a house vacuum.
Please buy Kenmore bc 4026 very good vacuum cleaner
In the UK? Well, apart from the international shipping charge which would be astronomical, I don't think it would be possible to run a US-spec 110-120v vacuum on the UK's 240v power system without a step-down transformer box.
