    You can certainly do everything suggested in this video, but honestly I just throw my rollers into the washing machine when I'm washing my cleaning rags and then air dry them. It cleans them up enough to continue using them for double the life expectancy.

    What I do is I wash it in the sink afterwards like you do and then I put Dawn dish soap on it and I scrub it and I just wash it under the sink and then I leave a lot of water in it and then I put it back in the machine and I do auto cleanand everything that I missed the auto clean gets and it doesn’t pretty good job job

    Thank you for another quality review. Have you tried dishwasher detergent to clean the brushes? Low foaming and made for food type messes.

    • @MesseswithMichelle
      @MesseswithMichelle  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I actually haven’t tried or even thought to use dishwasher detergent. It will be interesting to see the results and how well it works to clean the rollers. I’ll have to give it a try. I’m always looking for new ways to deep clean the rollers. Thank you for the great suggestion.

      Greetings for Canada! I really enjoy using the multi-surface as well. The added microfibre really helps to lock and trap finer debris especially when cleaning hard floors such as tile or hardwood floor.

    I'll try it on mine cuz I KNOW they're gonna be dirty.!!!

      I have only used the three cleaning methods so far. I recently cleaned my rollers again with the carpet cleaner...they were so dirty. A few people have suggested Oxiclean. I'm going to try it to see if it gives better results.

    Do you think I could put the rollers in the dishwasher? Top rack low heat? I'm half tempted to try it, I am not a fan of hand washing these rollers lol...

    • @MesseswithMichelle
      @MesseswithMichelle  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Valerie, I would suggest not washing the rollers in the dishwasher. The rollers have microfibre which can be ruined with hi-temp heat. Bissell only suggests to hand wash when deep cleaning. Try running the rollers through the Crosswave self cleaning cycle a few additional times to help give the rollers an extra clean after use. Another option is using gloves to avoid touching the dirty roller while cleaning. I hope this helps.

    HELP PLEASE: My crosswave dirty water bin doesn't fill beyond 1" then spits out any new dirty liquid onto the floor. It's totally clean, not only your method of running it but I take it all apart, wash out the hose and bucket....seems the suction that takes the dirty water into the container isn't pulling well at all. This is so important since I have a short term rental unit where I have to get in and out quickly. thanks for answering. My unit is registered and I bought it online at Bissell.

    • @MesseswithMichelle
      @MesseswithMichelle  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have had an issue with dirty water spilling out and had to replace the filter. There are two gold sensors on the dirty water tank and machine. You can try wiping the sensors. If the sensors are dirty it could be sending a false message the bin is full. If you have tried all those options and still having problems definitely contact Bissell.

      The self cleaning button is located under the main digital screen (The button has a picture of a swirl). The button will flash when the Crosswave is placed on the docking station. After placing the Crosswave on the docking station press the self cleaning button once and the 40 second cleaning cycle will begin.

    Ok I'm going to ask a stupid question. Can you put the rollers into the washing machine???

    • @MesseswithMichelle
      @MesseswithMichelle  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The rollers are not machine safe. It would be a cool option for Bissell to create a washer safe brush for an even deeper clean.

  • @1.4.3.seattle
    @1.4.3.seattle 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Just put them all in a bucket of bleach water then rinse them off , go outside, and splat out the water with the force of your arm and then put them on the vacuum base to dry. If the rollers have some debris in them, get your other vacuum and suck it up with the hose. Personally, I do not find the clean up to be convenient enough. I won’t use the sinks to clean the dirty parts therefore , I dump the dirty water outside and I hose it down but it’s a pain in the ass to clean all the parts.

    • @MesseswithMichelle
      @MesseswithMichelle  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven't considered bleach to wash the brush rollers due to the microfiber around the roller. Does bleach damage the rollers?

    • @1.4.3.seattle
      @1.4.3.seattle 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MesseswithMichelle doesn’t have to be bleach, but I use it because it’s a disinfectant and it doesn’t get sudsy. Lately I’ve been trying out Amazon’s enzyme cleaner.

    • @MesseswithMichelle

      The orange and green roller is specified for pets and can be used on hard floors and carpet. I have always used it on my area rugs. When I first got my Crosswave I had to check which roller was for what purpose they look so similar.

    I was so disappointed with this Bissell Crosswave. Ordered the Cordless Max and didn't get all the accessories with it. Only reason I ordered it on line was because it showed the extra rollers etc.

    • @MesseswithMichelle
      @MesseswithMichelle  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is very disappointing. When I ordered my Crosswave, I had to order the bonus package to receive the additional rollers and formulas. Try contacting Bissell maybe you can exchange it. I believe there is a 30 day trial but I'n not sure if that has changed.

  • @heatherkarp7664
    @heatherkarp7664 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I’m trying really hard to justify the cordless one. I just worry about the battery constantly dying. Do you prefer the cordless?

    • @MesseswithMichelle
      @MesseswithMichelle  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is my first cordless vac and enjoy using it without having a cord in my way as I’m cleaning. I was worried the battery would die mid way through cleaning but it hasn’t been an issue. The run time is about 30 minutes. I can clean the main level of my house using 1-2 bars of battery, I’m cleaning mostly hard floors so the run time will vary depending how large of an area you are cleaning. I think my area is around 350 sq.ft. If I had to guess. I had to replace my first Crosswave due to the battery over charging on the docking station but Bissell sent a replacement and I haven’t had any issues since but I make sure to unplug the docking station after the Crosswave is fully charged to avoid any previous over charging issues.
