      Hi I saw some review on Amazon for this brush that said it ruined their vacuum as it melted off the part that attaches the brush to the vacuum:/ wondering if it’s a user error or some sort, or if you’d have any idea why that would happen? Thanks!

      @@MesseswithMichelle shark are brilliant. The latest version of the shark cordless with power finshas a even stronger suction than its predecessor the filter stays clean longer & the power fins are great for agitating thick pile carpets lifting out embedded hair & dirt. I use it to clean my freinds shop carpet & its lifted tons of dirt out the shops carpet which is actually staying a lot cleaner now

    • @MesseswithMichelle
      @MesseswithMichelle  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I use my Crosswave to dry vacuum. I do not fill the fresh water tank or pull the trigger while dry vacuuming. As soon as the handle is tilted back, the suction will start and the roller will spin. I typically wash and vacuum at the same time but here and there I’ll dry vacuum my tile and hardwood floors for quick spot cleaning. Thank you for subscribing and watching! I hope you enjoy your Crosswave.

    • @MesseswithMichelle
      @MesseswithMichelle  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Lana, the pile of the carpet could be a bit too thick for the Crosswave. I have a hard time pushing my Crosswave over my living room rug with a combo of high and low pile carpet. I just move slowly over the rug but have to give the Crosswave a few extra pushes to get it moving over the rug when it gets stuck.

    Does the cross wave leave the area rug wet? Will the dampness harm my laminate floor?

    • @MesseswithMichelle
      @MesseswithMichelle  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I find the rugs are slightly damp. The dampness will depend on how much formula and water is applied during the cleaning process and the thickness of the rug. I don’t have laminate to know for sure if it will not cause harm to the floor but based on my experience using the Crosswave on my hardwood I haven’t had any issues.

    • @bethjones7572
      @bethjones7572 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I recently used mine for the first time on my area rug, over hardwood floor. I had used a carpet shampooer on my rug a few weeks before and wasn't really impressed with the result. I had moved it onto a concrete floor before I started because I knew it would be soaked. After 2 shampoo sessions it still looked grubby and it stank! I ran my crosswave over my rug to try it out and initially I thought I had made a huge mistake, it looked dirtier than before I started. But I figured the damage was done so I carried on. I was SHOCKED by the amount of dirt the crosswave pulled up left behind by the carpet shampooer! I filled the solution tank 4 times to finish that rug, and at the end of it the rug was slightly damp, the hardwood underneath was dry! I'm going to keep up with cleaning my rug with the crosswave and hopefully it can improve the cleanliness.

      @@bethjones7572 I have the crosswave also. Can you tell me which brush roller you used when cleaning your area rug? The multi surface one or the one specifically for area rugs? Thank you so much in advance. Krissy

    • @bethjones7572
      @bethjones7572 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kdbanister8978 I used the fluffy multi surface one the first time for the best result. I think the extra contact from the fluffy fibers helped lift the dirt and wet. I tried the stiff bristle only area rug brush recently and wasn't as impressed with the result. The carpet was much damper and not as clean. I have a really low pile carpet though, so maybe the area rug head works better on a shag type carpet?
      BUT, I do like the stiff bristle only area rug head. I use it when I'm using the crosswave just as a vacuum. I don't add/use any cleaning solution, and put an inch or 2 of water in the recovery tank. Think like a rainbow vacuum... it seems like it traps the dust.
      It's also amazing on my natural slate floors! The suction action works great to keep the grimy water from building up in all the crevices. Hope that helps!

    Would it clean grout?

    • @MesseswithMichelle
      @MesseswithMichelle  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It will suck up debris and wash the grout lines but I find it doesn’t scrub the lines to remove embedded dirt. I had to use my Bissell SteamShot to remove the tough dirt stuck in the lines. Now I use the Crosswave to maintain the floor tiles and grout and haven’t seen too much build up in the lines since steaming the dirt away.

    I just received this brush today and I was very disappointed in it. The bristles are WAY too soft to do anything. The multi surface brush has stiffer bristles than the area rug brush roll. I wasted my money buying this roller.
