You never wanna lie in business. Then no one will trust you again. Just be honest and say you are not comfortable and that the fungus needs to be treated medically. Come back when it's all cleared up.
You know.... not vaccinating your child or yourself doesn’t make you an anti vaxxer. Being well informed on any medical procedure and deciding if it’s right or wrong for you and your family is a privilege called medical freedom that we are lucky to still have here. I know your comment was meant to be funny but as someone with very personal vaccine injury experience that was so hard to have validated because of this wild idea that every dr thinks every shot is safe and effective turned my life upside down. It’s just not kosher to say that stuff. Just as you wouldn’t bash someone’s pronouns or choice to get an abortion lets keep our medical choices out of the line of fire too.
mari jgenti you’re talking about the first girl. I can’t remember the word for it but she tagged it on her instagram. It’s some sort of birthmark-mole thingy and it doesn’t hurt her or anything.
I've been a nail tech for 5 years and the 1st year I was working this lady had brought her mom in. She said in a couple months she was gonna be turning 100. Her skin was literally like scales and purple and the smell was so bad I wanted to throw up, her toenails were so long. When I was working on her pinky toes I noticed they moved kinda weird, farther into the pedi her daughter tells me that when her mom was younger that she had broken her pinky toes so the doctors just went and took the bones out.
Omg I had an elderly man who's son treated him to a pedi and he must've went through something Similar as far as having his bones removed... It was his 3rd toe and I didnt notice until I lifted his foot straight up and out to scrub his heels... his toe was just flopping around like a wet noodle and I was trying so hard to keep my composure. I asked no questions, just tried to hurry up and finish but it honestly made me gag🤢
The sincerity at the end. Oh bless her heart. Her fixation is endearing, but also because it was clearly such a stressful experience for her. Love the humor of the second nail artist.
My mom is a nail technician and I hated the first story because when someone has a fungus like that, legally you cannot perform your service on that person without them seeking medical treatment, then recovering and then they can return to you. You have to refuse your service to them and it really bothers me that she didn’t especially for that long. Even if the client refuses to get treatment for it, you still have to refuse performing your service on them simply for sanitary reasons.
@Sal m She has a hermangioma. A cluster of red blood cells around her face. Its perfectly harmless, and frankly, I've had a few dates who have one and a lot of them are quite pretty. Please, if you're not edgucated, please research. I assume you didn't know so let me inform you so that next time, you don't offend anyone. 😊
@Sal m wow. The first one is just as beautiful and I see no reason to hate on her appearance just because she has something on her face doesnt mean to be rude keep negative things to urself
When I was in cosmetology school I had to take care of a client that booked a pedicure. I got my station ready and when she sits down I take a look at her feet & they were so crusty I COULD NOT. She tells me “I really need you to scrub all these calluses off & I would prefer no gloves” I apologized and told her that I couldn’t do that due to sanitation reasons and even brought over my instructor to explain it to her. She then was upset & took one of my tools away from me saying “Here give me that!” she started scrubbing her own feet, mind you this was right before I was going on my lunch break 😖
Were they crusty or like a fungus? Cause I definitely understand not being comfortable with fungus but doesn't soaking take care of most of the crusty callous? & she'd would of had to be ok with gloves😂
I ask every client man or woman to send a current Picture of their hands and feet before I make my way to their residence. I refuse to waste time on any infection. I just let them know off gate, go to a doctor ASAP.
Thankfully my coworker had this client and not me, we had a mother and daughter in for pedicures and the mother had never had a pedicure. She had really long and lifting toenails and during the pedicure my coworker watched a spider crawl out from under her big toe, knock it on the floor and kill it. Thankfully she isn’t scared of spiders because it it was me I would of screamed and not finished the service. A freaking live spider..disgusting
One time when me and my mom went to get our nails done, I sat next to a girl that was getting a gorgeous holo design. It took the nail tech a long time, the girl was there before me and our techs finished almost at the same time (I got really simple nails, just acrylic with color). I paid and went to get some food while they finished my mom's nails. While I was buying I saw the girl and a guy playing air hockey. I went back to meet my mom. Just as she was paying the girl entered the salon screaming and crying So I thought her acrylics broke or something but it was more than that. She basically broke three of her acrylic nails but somehow one of them ripped a part of her actual nail and she was bleeding. I don't know what happened because we left, last thing I remember was hearing her cry out from the pain and the guy just sitting in the bench outside waiting for her.
I love cats I didn’t even know she wrote that it’s been a thing ppl have been saying like * call me when--* So I just did that and did not copy so why don’t u ask the person nicely first and then start shitting That they copied srsly??
20 years ago when I was working at a pool I contracted toenail fungus in 3 of my toenails. I went to a podiatrist and he told me basically there was nothing they could do other than permanently remove all of the nails. I said no thanks and basically just keep them painted all of the time. Over the years, two of them have cured themselves and I only have fungus in the one. It’s yellow and thick and underneath is flaky, but it’s never turned any other colors. I recently went back to a podiatrist after watching the Toe Bro and they offered a topical, which has a low success rate, or an oral medication. The oral can damage your liver and they won’t prescribe it if you have liver damage. Turns out I have a condition which makes my liver susceptible to damage and such so I am not a candidate. I am also trying to do everything I can to ensure my lifestyle choices don’t cause further damage. My nail tech sanitizes all of her tools between clients and also asks them all to bring their own nail files. Nail polish alone is not likely to spread an infection. First of all, the chemicals that make up polish can damage fungi and possibly kill it. A bottle of nail polish is not an environment that is conducive to the growth of fungi. If a person with a fungal nail infection used the polish, it isn’t likely that the next person in line would pick up the fungus. Just to be safe to others, I often bring my own.
When I was about 7, I really wanted to get my nails painted. I got this super cheap pack of nail polish, it was like a dollar for 5. And my mom painted my nails with it. My nails hurt for a few days , and than my whole right thumb nail fell off. The whole entire thing, including the pink part. And it dint fall off at home, or somewhere private, it was at the park whilst I was on top of that triangle roof thing that’s in a park 👁💧👄💧👁
JewTube - Censor Yourself. Or we'll do it for you. Some people might try to get it surgically removed or if it’s small, get a piercing to cover it or wear excessive makeup. It depends on the size and the type but many people will try to remove it or cover it as it can cause them the be self conscious.
I have a story My aunt owns a nail store, she work with my mom, her husband, and her daughter. One day, my cousin did this one client nails (she did acrylic nails for that person) and once the person pay and went to her car. It was not even 5 minutes and she open her door and one of her index fingers nail broke and it's both fake and real nail that broke. She started bleeding of course and she went back inside, she wasn't crying or anything but is in shocked. She was sent to the hospital and she never went back to the salon or even do acrylic nails anymore.
I’m so scared of getting a pedicure because I don’t want people judging my feet. Don’t worry, they’re not THAT gross, they don’t have fungus or toe jam or anything weird like that.
Ella Twigg if I ever meet someone like that I would say ok I’ll make sure you have essential oils at your funeral and have your kids learn to not be like you because you’re crazy to think essential oils are going to “heal” your cancer
The first Lady made me think of something : I always tip five dollars. I know that I tip is optional and appreciated but do the techs expect a certain amount for certain services?
Nail Tech here: a LOT of salons under pay their technicians (if the prices are low, it's usually the techs that are losing out), so 20% seems to be the standard I've seen. However, I work for myself now and can ensure my prices provide a fair take home wage for myself. I tell all of my clients that tipping is not necessary, but many still like to leave 15-20%.
I'm a retired barber and I had an older client sit in a waiting chair and cross his legs and bam! one of his testicles also fell out of his shorts. I knew him. He knew it was out. Yuck!
If the customer barely tipped I would not subject myself to doing her infected toenails for years.
Even if she did I wouldn't have done it.
Lmfao she couldn't help it ig, that's her job.
I mean she is paying for what she's getting the tip is not necessary its her choice at the end
tip isn't necessary. they are getting paid by their boss
In Britain, literally nobody tips. There is nowhere to tip.
The gal with the red lipstick and black hat is just stunning. 😍
Both are.

Her makeup is Flawless 😇
She is vietnamese right at first I though she was some Asian girl but not Vietnam until I heard her name

She will never come back yay

Sometimes you need to tell them it’s against federal law to service someone with fungus. :/
Right!
Yeah, tell that to the greedy salon owners. They don't turn anyone away.
Jane Louie My thoughts exactly!!
You never wanna lie in business. Then no one will trust you again. Just be honest and say you are not comfortable and that the fungus needs to be treated medically. Come back when it's all cleared up.
Candis actually many state boards say you shouldn’t work on someone with fungus
The lady in the first story the type of woman who don’t vaccinate her kids. Them essential oils her doctor😂

Olivia Edmundson OWO I’m flattered
Essential oils when properly made are great..but most of the things people use the for they do not work for lol.
Antaya Fairless essential oils are only good for their smell. They aren’t medicine

You’d think after 3 years of her oils not working she’d notice and stop using them..
The second girls lipstick looks perfect on her 🤩😚😍
