I do my own nails and those nails are lumpy in areas, (pause at 7:07) just saying. Also, if you pause at 7:20 the sheerness of each hand doesn’t match. One is more lighter and the other is a bit more opaque. As person who loves nail polish that really bothers me. I don’t know if it’s due to lighting. And if they were in a rush, it still doesn’t make an excuse for doing an ok job. Just hope she didn’t have to pay 50+ dollars for a design you could have done yourself. I think that, that is also another reason people are dissing her nails because it does look like a design a rookie would do, not a highly sought out nail tech. Also, you don’t need to be a nail tech to know if the nails look good or bad. You just know by the look of it.

Ali First of all the lighting is very bright. That and I totally see she she’s older. People just dont see asian faces and bodies enough to guess their age. Usually asians have baby faces (round with big cheeks) which looks youthful forever. Her thin skin in neck and hands and darker skin around the eyes etc etc make her look way older than Mih.

Hi, licensed nail tech here! Not only was she put under a lot of pressure, but also- and I can’t stress this enough- she’s HUMAN. People have off days, people get stressed, and people can shine. As previously mentioned by numerous people, she was probably under a lot of pressure. So maybe let’s try to be a bit kinder 💖 In other news I can see how gentle she was and I enjoyed to see her techniques.
You can tell she was doing it so quickly, I’m sure they had like 30 minutes free on their schedule and squeezed this there. You need like 1:30 to 2 hours to perfect a set of nails.
Nail tech here, you are 100% correct. To have nails properly built, filed and shaped to perfection, then to have hand drawn nail art you are looking at 2-3 hours in my chair. This was not a good showcase of her work. I notice most of her nails on instagram aren't really properly built either but are light years better than these.
Not really, actually here in my country 1:30 to 2 hours will take you if you are doing some 3d nails and pretty long , usually nails like this will take at the most 1 hour, I remember that when I first started doing nails back 10 years ago used to take me like 2 hours or more because I was pretty new, also she doesn't even have the right tool to cut the nails, after I saw that I was like, wait a second haha I've seen her work and is pretty nice but this nails in particular are quite bad for someone that has been doing nails for 17 years

i once went to unistella because it was a big day for me. she’s so sweet and even ordered coffee for me when i was tired. she’s good at her work, communicates about your budget, your ideas, picture inspiration and makes them into reality. i was so happy by the end of the evening by how well they turned out! its sad how i’ve only went there twice but she’s a great artist so cut her some slack
to viewers: please remember that there are multiple cameras zooming in on her actions, which is probably something she’s not used to. also, they were probably surrounded by staff and had a time constraint. those are all factors that go on behind the scenes that we might not register when we’re watching these videos.

The way this nail business owner/ artist talks about the industry and the art its like a practical part of your life. Another way to express yourself applying personality to your nails. I like the way the interview was conducted excellent questions and in depth answers. I was once looking into doing nails as well. I changed my mind based on circumstances but I'll always be fond of it. Although, I personally will never get my nails done becuase of the destruction on nails before Corona epidemic. I've finally decided I will do at home acrylics with my own home made glue and less filling etc. Not saying that any method is wrong or right. Personally, I would luv to go to this nail salon. My biggest issue with getting my nails done is the part on the sides they miss every...single..time. I have OCD in small details like that.
This lady did a terrible job on those nails, ESPECIALLY the sides. If your nail tech is missing the side like that- find a new one!!!!

i don't know about the rest of you but when the camera zoomed in the side ways of the nails weren't covered proprely and on a side glance you could see the difference from the leveling of the tip and nails. I can't really say im impressed. its a good design but the job isn't what i expected

The way this nail business owner/ artist talks about the industry and the art its like a practical part of your life. Another way to express yourself applying personality to your nails. I like the way the interview was conducted excellent questions and in depth answers. I was once looking into doing nails as well. I changed my mind based on circumstances but I'll always be fond of it. Although, I personally will never get my nails done becuase of the destruction on nails before Corona epidemic. I've finally decided I will do at home acrylics with my own home made glue and less filling etc. Not saying that any method is wrong or right. Personally, I would luv to go to this nail salon.
