I first heard Kitty and jean Shepherd in the late fifties and grew up with their wonderful music ,two profoundly different but unmistakable voices they were the true country music trailblazers a pity we don't have their like today

An absolute American Icon. Such talent, such a powerful force. Shame that she didn't get the nationwide attention she deserved, but she was the queen of country for many years.

Yes I agree with you so much. She should STILL get the lengendary attention she so rightly deserved. You hear about Patsy Cline all of the time, but not this Dear Soul Kitty Wells.

I met her and Johnny at her concert in mounds view, Minnesota in the 90s in 1995 or 1996? I got her autograph and picture with them. Very kind and down to earth. She never got the attention she deserves. However she didn't seem to mind. She said being a mom and wife and her faith in the Lord. Mattered the most to her. She said in interviews. They were married 73 years and he died 33 days before their 74th anniversary. She is a legend very humble.

They should make a movie about her life. She deserves that at least, have someone play as her. I would watch that movie for sure

Yes Dear Kitty Wells deserves a movie based on her life. They did it for Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn. After all Kitty Wells was the Queen of Country Music.
