    I am about to get some voice effects for our group. As, looking at many pedals, and many have good features (just need to find which features we need) it seems that the pedal may need a pedal. In other words, I have to reach down to change settings, as one song can be setup different to the next song. If I had the pedal on a slim stand, and the switches on the floor, I could adjust the settings at any time. I have modified my looper, so I can adjust settings, with the two switches on the floor. In my opinion, this would be a great feature to have on any pedal. Thanks for the demo/review, regards

      Thanks for the comment David! I dont disagree that is is frustrating to bend over to make adjustments....but Ive also experienced the frustration with trying to push buttons on a stand mounted system too.....it presents its own issues. I think BOSS tried to rectify these issues with their higher end model the VE-500. You can save custom presets that can be easily triggered from the floor, it also has a nice backlit screen for dark stages.....but yeah, its twice as much money! I think the VE-2 is a nearly perfect product for the price! thanks for subscribing to the channel!

    Great demo of the VE-2. Do you know if it will also work with electric guitar + distortion?

    • @MainStageMusicTV
      @MainStageMusicTV  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the comment and for subscribing to our channel! I personally use the Boss VE-2 in my electric rig and it works perfect! I run into a tuner first, then out of the tuner into the VE-2, then into an A/B box so I can choose between my electric guitar 'path' and acoustic guitar 'path'. Works perfect. If you decide to snag one, get it from us at Main Stage Music! thanks!

      @@MainStageMusicTVPiggy backing, and I assume the answer is yes, you can use keyboards? How crazy do the harmonies get? Could I play "Because" by the Beatles alone?

    Does this work for Bass Guitar?

    • @MainStageMusicTV
      @MainStageMusicTV  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for the comment, and for subscribing! Yeah! It works for Bass...but remember it changes the harmony based on what note its hearing....sometimes bass is playing a note that is complementary to the primary key, so the 'harmony' would be in that key. (which honestly may be a pretty groovy harmony!!)

    thnak you for the Demo. I would also like to ride a pony on a boat! Does the reverb and delay stay activated even when the pedal is "off"? meaning you have to reach down to turn off the verb manually? Thank you sir.

    • @MainStageMusicTV
      @MainStageMusicTV  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the comment! Yes, the reverb is on, until you manually turn it off. Which makes sense....why would you only want reverb when the harmony is on? that would sound really awkward! Thanks for subscribing to the channel!

    Hi there sir, will this also work properly if used with fingerpicking style of guitar playing? I sing mainly slow songs and play fingerpicking. Would it harmonize properly or will it get lost because of so many notes being played successively instead of simultaneously ? Appreciate your input on this matter...thanks and more power to you and your group

  • @dnumde69
    @dnumde69 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hi there! Nice demo! But I still would like to know if the harmonizer would still work well without an instrument connected to it? I don't play any instrument. I'm a vocalist. Hoping for your reply before I purchase. Thanks in advance! More power to your channel!

    • @MainStageMusicTV
      @MainStageMusicTV  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Howdy Ed! It works without plugging an instrument in, however, the instrument tells the box what key to harmonize with. As songs change keys, the harmony also would have to change, having the instrument input allowed an intuitive way for the box to know what key the harmony needed to be in. Otherwise it stays in one key. Hope this makes sense to you. Thanks for watching and subscribing!

    • @SapiensIndica
      @SapiensIndica ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In fact without instrument, there is option to select the key through the dial.

    • @MainStageMusicTV
      @MainStageMusicTV  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SapiensIndica You are absolutely right, but as I mentioned, it doesnt change keys unless you have an instrument plugged in, or you turn the dial. Thanks for subscribing to our channel and your comment!

    You can set this for harmony on only when you press the pedal (temporary on) which in live situations is the way rondo it. I’ve been using these kind of pedals for years. Couldn’t live without them. You’d never use it switch on switch off you can’t ensure you’ll do it on time/forget to switch it off. The Boss is the best so far btw

    • @chitosolisa9429
      @chitosolisa9429 ปีที่แล้ว

      Will this function effectively still if used playing fingerpicking instead of strumming? I play slow songs and do fingerpicking , I am just afraid that the harmony might get scramble because of so many notes being played successively instead of simultaneously all at once as I strumming. Appreciate your input.

    • @twentydollarwedding
      @twentydollarwedding ปีที่แล้ว

      @@chitosolisa9429 It sure will. I also do acoustic picking with harmonies using the Boss and or live voices. I dont know how it does it but it does! Check some of our videos (like and subscribe too please!!) and you can hear it in action (and see my foot at work in some too!) . Good luck! BTW, in all of these review vids, Ive never seen anyone using them this way - I cant understand why?! I think I may review my rig to demo how I work. In fact youve prompted me to do so! Watch this space!! Daveys rig rundown...

  • @jussirautanen1585

    Hi, what i does if I use chord like Dmaj7 or Cm7? Does it recognize the chord?

    • @MainStageMusicTV
      @MainStageMusicTV  ปีที่แล้ว

      Great Question! It does recognize those chords, my guess is it senses the 'root note' of the chord being played and then harmonizes accordingly. Thanks for subscribing!

    Will this pedal adjust to a lower tuning than standard? I tune down usually 1/2 step, sometimes a whole step. Thanks!
