Glad to help. Yeah, it was like an experiment for my friend. She owns this Boss VE and she is a singer too. She uses Audacity at the moment to record songs using this Boss VE as the interface.

This pedal is a blast to use since it is simple and effective when also playing guitar. With the simplicity, it’s more predictable. TC VoiceLive can do more, but more can go wrong or start tinkering too much.
Totally understand you. A different harmoniser which got a better EQ, effects and all. I think there are other brands as well like the digitech, TC Electronic, Electro-Harmonix and the Roland Vocal Transformer. All the best!!!

Perhaps try and look around for other harmonisers before you decide. This is our first time to get one for my acoustic duo with Bekka Blake Music and it seems not working for us. @@reysuela6775 Yung Audacity free lng sya kaso may limitations. Madalas hirap mag-sync ng layer tapos may delay sa monitor. Yung binili ko para sa laptop ko ay EnergyXT parang windows version ng Garageband and cheap lng din. Pero nung nakahanap din ako ng paraan sa iPad ko naconnect ko rin yung Garageband gamit ang light to USB na adapter converter.
Tatlo pa lng na try ko Audacity, GarageBand saka EnergyXT. Pero malamang any recording software pwede sya. Plug n play naman din kasi as long as you have the cable na parang kagaya sa printer or MIDI keyboard na USB
You can use it for singing and connect it to your logic Pro X via USB cable. Only problem the unit is not supplied when you purchase it. Or in our case, when this was purchased there’s no USB cable supplied. Good thing I got one from an old printer which I also use for my MIDI keyboard.
Reginaldesq yes sir the enhance makes a difference. Especially if your voice is not that strong. Because the harmony sometimes gets a bit lost if the voice is not that strong. So enhance is really a good option
So sorry I haven’t tried it using bass guitar and also I can’t remember about minor keys I think it’s just major keys/scale but what you can do is use the relative minor perhaps. But I’m not sure of this I hope someone can help and give you the right answer.
Yes pwede sya kasi maraming options Pero eying unit na to ay pwede na mismong gawing soundcard for recording kasi merong USB output to. Kaso kng pag bumili ka d kasama ang cable nya. Yung pang printer na USB cable or kng meron kang USB MIDI keyboard, same cable din.
ttun_ there is option for that if you turn it to the left. So from the centre when you turn right the harmony is female and it’s the 3rd, then the 5th harmony then if you turn some more it will be the 3rd and 5th together then its the male and female harmony combined after that. To the left will be the 3rd lower then the 5th lower and then 3rd and 5th together then male and female. There are a lot of options. But the only thing now that we are having problems with is the actual harmony seems off at times because it depends on what key and how loud your singing voice is. Plus there are enhanced options and variations sometimes the machine gets muddled up. We are not sure if it’s the battery as well that’s causing it may be the battery was running low
Vocals only. I thought as well at first but no. The guitar just goes through it for chords to harmonise with vocals. I think they did it that way so that the guitar effects and vocals effects don’t clash.
May be there are software or plugins that you can use like from GarageBand or LogicPro. Or perhaps a second singer who can record and harmonise on your pre-recorded song.

You need to play the recorded track through your computer or mp3 player or cd player. Then the headphones out will be plugged into the input of this one. Then select harmonisation options. I havent triend it this way thought because this pedal is technically intended for microphone and instrument. The USB of this unit is for connecting it to the computer for software update and for recording. It will make the unit work as an audio interface for your computer. Like a soundcard.

Im afraid, it doesnt have. I think that's one of the downside. Because if you sing and you got like a particular style where you sort of swirl a bit, then it affects the harmony. Or just like me, not really a good singer and sometimes I tend to find my pitch, this one also is giving a wrong or different harmony. But having said that, I think it's just getting use to it and eventually you'll work your way with it.
Technically yes you can but you need to always know which key your backing tracks because the only input that it’s got for this unit is guitar meaning your karaoke will be plugged separately to your PA speaker and then your mic will be plugged here then out to your PA speaker. You will then Select manually as to what key you are singing depending on the backing track you use.

Yeah noticed that as well. It’s hard to know sometimes if it’s because of the settings or the battery that’s going low or it’s just the product. Other times it sounds ok. A bit hard to tame when you got lots of songs. But for a certain project I think it’s a good one where you can spend time and get the settings sorted and use it for that particular project or song.
I haven’t tried it but I think it’s designed for guitar. The unit is not actually mine, it’s from my friend who’s a singer and she wants me to try it out. I’ve returned it to her already so I won’t be able to try it for you. So sorry!
I've tried it on Audacity and EnergyXT software on my laptop and it's plug n play. The software detects it on ASIO. I think it should work the same with Garageband and other recording software. I didn't install anything. It was auto detected.
This one got USB connection and it can act as an audio interface. You can record using garageband or other recording software via USB which is also plug and play. The cheap one that I can suggest is the Focusrite iTrack pocket which you connect to your iphone or iPad and then record using the app that came with it that is called Impact. th-cam.com/video/7QmQecNDQ9A/w-d-xo.html
I think if you only use the reverb, its a bit natural. But with the harmonist and the reverb, it can be too much at times. Plus it's got like auto-harmony where you plug your guitar and it will auto-detect what key and harmony it will do based on your guitar playing. That's the one that is a bit tricky. But I think it's also just getting use to it.

I would agree with you partly. I think this unit should be like a studio or home studio use but not for live gigs. Because as you said it’s shakey. I don’t own this unit, I just demoed and tried it. But the owner of this one use it as her home studio audio interface and works well for her because she does her own harmony to her songs and doesn’t need to rely on this gadget when recording. But during live, she was thinking of using this but it never happened.

yes, it's added cost nowadays. There are electronic keyboards as well that are like that. No power adaptor as it's being sold separately. Although there's a battery option but still, don't think its right to buy the power adaptor separately.

yes, it's added cost nowadays. There are electronic keyboards as well that are like that. No power adaptor as it's being sold separately. Although there's a battery option but still, don't think its right to buy the power adaptor separately.
