I thought thermometer holder, my grandmother's were both nurses in 1910 era but the ball in the bottom doesn't make sense (unless it's for sterilization using alchol). They had pins on a chain on one end for attachment to the uniform & were graduation presents. Initials & dates inscribed & school or hospital name.
2:00 Some people are just unpleasant about cats. Understandable in some areas - the more urban the area where you live is, the more you should consider making your kitty cats an indoor only cat. And our little cat buddies are, unfortunately, a CAT-astrophe to the local wildlife. And also in danger if coyotes are in your neighbourhood. When I was 8 (1976-77?), my little guy came home and I noticed a little blood on his head. One of our friendly A-hole neighbours decided to use him as a target - he had 3 different .22 bullet holes in his head. If I'd been older, there would have been trouble, but by the time I was old enough to get a little justice the neighbour kid who did it was too far gone in drugs and alcohol to bother with. I had another cat who came home with a lump on his head (2007?). The vet took a look, and it was a .22 bullet that had penetrated under the skin but didn't penetrate his skull. Times are changing - for the better I think - in that when I was a kid everybody let their cats and dogs wander where ever they so willed. Nowadays, my cats are indoor cats except for a "catio". Safer for them and safer for the birds and other little critters.
A needle case or hat pin holder that’s my thoughts to the last item, my daughter and her boyfriend picked one up off my shelf the other night and we researched it by the hall mark and it’s from the 1880’s
The last item dispenses perfume from the ball when the top is depressed.

The mystery item looks like a medicine dropper to me.
I think that's a sterling silver sewing needle case.
Very interesting, so I subbed,
Thanks for the sub!

Elon musk is a joke. Not an inventor
