    Funny and entertaining Max Eli: the international color developer/creator explains how to prevent your haircolor product from being diverted or sold without the owner's permission. He explains how to keep the haircolor exclusive for the salon and what tools to use to keep the professional color exclusive to the salon and keep growing the salon owners' business. Learn how to track your product from people who would sell it in the retail outlet without your permission. How Max met JBeverlyHills and created the haircolor? One color tube could be used as semi, demi and permanent color; use it as a try-on for virgin hair before making a decision whether to color or not to color. Botanically infused haircolor with Aloe Vera, argon oil, black pearl powder and acai berry in haircolor that gives shine to the colored hair. Learn about hydrogen peroxide; the liquid gas that does not damage. Learn about percentages and volumes, and what is the difference between different volumes of peroxide. 40V peroxide is 12% hydrogen peroxide (developer) and 88% water. 10 V peroxide is 3% peroxide and 97% water. Learn to cover gray hair with lower volumes of peroxide. What do the color companies use to replace ammonia: MEA; an odorless alkaline agent that causes respiratory problems, lung cancer, brain cancer... Why is ammonia used in the haircolor. JBeverlyHills uses less than 1% ammonia. Level one has .50 ammonia, and level 10 less then 1 percent ammonia. For processing time for the developer volumes just add 10 to the volume. Example: 10 V peroxide needs 20 minutes of processing time (10+10=20). How many virgin hair clients do you get in your salon in a month? Learn about the importance of measuring your color for accuracy. Salon owners, learn to save haircolor by teaching your salon staff to mix correct amount of color to avoid color waste in the salon and save money. What happens in the salon on a busy Saturday; is it possible for you to make color mistakes and how to avoid it. Guest speaker: Max Eli, video by BeautyHealthTravel Channel

    Help! Help! Help! I have medium brown soft plenty wavy hair been coloring with reddish brown for years and two hairdressers have adviced against it being too dark I have fair skin with hazel eyes. They say to go a natural/cool brown. I tried doing that and asked at Sally’s they gave me a 30 developer and a light auburn shade L’Oréal Techniques I left it on for a good 50 minutes but it didn’t remove much at the middle or ends, the top turned a faded auburn and did not cover my grays. Lol! I usually use 20 developer. What to do? 🤦🏻‍♀️

    Is it a good idea to put in a deep conditioner after coloring hair?

    • @Bambibot
      @Bambibot 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We do in our salon. Deep conditioners or any conditioner tent to flatten the cuticle layer so they can seal it closed. That way the colour particle has time to expand.

    i have a serious question. For years, i wanted dark ash blonde hair color. Each and every time i use it, my hair almost turns a muddy dark color (dark deep brown; almost black look to it). My natural hair color, growing up, was a caramel dark blonde/light brown hair color. Now, i am mixed with grey and hair dressers tell me my base looks like an ash hair color (i have heard that happens when you get older). I watch several videos on youtube and everyone uses dark ash blonde and its beautiful. I have been watching all your videos. I can't find it now, but you mention when ash turns really dark you need to add color. What color do i need to activate in the ash, so that it is a true ash color. I'm assuming i need to use a 30 volume instead of a color? If I am a dark blonde/light natural brown, dark ash blonde would be lighter than my natural hair color. Maybe that is why it goes on so muddy and dark? Therefore, the need for a higher developer to lighten it? Putting 30 volume on your hair to do monthly root touch ups seems damaging, so I was hoping you can solve this dilemma through a color method? (FYI: I have made a touch up with a medium ash blonde hair color before and it gets dark in a matter of minutes and looks very green tinted, but not as muddy and dark as dark ash blonde. If I use light ash blonde it looks normal and goes on regular.) I have went into SEVERAL hair salons and the hair dresser will say, "dark ash blonde would look really good on you" and I tell him/her the same story that it turns dark and muddy. They look at me cross-eyed and say, "i don't know what the other hairdresser did, but not with me".....and it turns muddy and dark. HELP!!!!

    • @BeautyHealthTravel
      @BeautyHealthTravel  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Have you tried to use a neutral base color which is a gray buster with tiny bit of gold? Perhaps it will still give you an ash but a lively one; please try it on a piece of hair, wrap it with a foil (cooking foil is fine), and process this strand for 30 minute. Dry your strand, and if you like the result, try that one. I hope this helps. Gray hair loses all the basic colors; red, blue and yellow. Sometimes adding gold will help. You can also try to use a clear filler (from beauty supply stores): add it before color on your hair and add color over, no waiting time, or add it in your color, just a capful (the cap of the color bottle top) will do. It is hard to diagnose color without seeing and feeling the hair, but from what you have described, it seems that the reason that you hair is grabbing ash (the base color of the tint you use) is because of the porous hair after the bleach. I would also advise using a TONER instead of a permanent tint after hair lightening with 30 volume, because lightened hair really grabs the ash in an ash based color. I hope it helps, please let me know.

    • @rarecoral212
      @rarecoral212 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are lines that cover gray hair with 10% vol, the higher the peroxide vol is used the more would be the hair color lifting. For tone to tone and darker shades of colour lower volume of peroxide is used. Hope this helps, he is a wonderful teacher explaining everything very well.

    I feel guilty being in here trying to figure out how to color my hair properly without going to a salon. My hair is super long so it would be at least 100-200 dollars which is a lot. I feel your pain though, I know how to code and can make beautiful websites, however since wix, squarespace and wordpress came along, developers had to massively raise there skill bars and lost a lot of potential clients because people can make crappy but basically functional websites themselves. I am going through a tight spot rn as im in my masters program but if I had money id just have a professional do it. So I get it on both sides.

    I have a question in my mind, why we use 20 volume for grey coverage, we didn't need to lift ,only deposit the colour on grey hair so we should use 10 volume, pls answer if anybody know the reason thanks

    • @BeautyHealthTravel
      @BeautyHealthTravel  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes, you are right, some gray could be colored with 10, but most gray hair is resistant and stubborn, and 20 Volume Peroxide helps the hair color penetrate the cuticle layer of the hair and becomes permanent, unlike 10 volume would have more Demi-permanent effect and would be subject to fading.

      You need to lighten the green hair first and then tone it with gray toner or a violet based one like 9V from shades EQ if you want a light gray. In any case, please do a strand test on a piece of hair to be sure before using the products on the entire hair.
