  • The last one of the series: Must see! Two examples! This is a class for, cosmetologists, beauty school students, salon professionals and barbers to learn more about hair bleach and lighteners. Virgin hair could be lightened without bleach with haircolor. Level 5 and down hair needs to be bleached if it has previously colored. Learn what volume hydrogen peroxide to use, and what are the chemicals reactions when you use 40 volume bleach. What happens when you put the bleached hair under the hair dryer. Learn how to be board certified nationally. There is no shortcuts when you do bleach; Max explains how bleaching with lower volume of peroxide could work. Learn from the example of how to lighten the natural level 4 to 6. When bleaching to level 6, the underlying hair is red/orange. What cancels red/orange-blue/green. Learn how use the fillers to fill the hair first, and then apply the color to deposit the toner. The second example is with starting level natural level 2 with desired level 6; still will turn red/orange. To lift more than two levels, use double dye load pigment, because the single dye load on hair dark as level 2 does not work. Right down your formulas. Understanding porosity, texture, level, tone, and the color theory will help the hairdressers to do good work, be successful in the salon and perform excellent client services. Guest artist; Max, video by BeautyHealthTravel channel.

    I have the "orangutan hair" that you speak of. I am at a level 7 because my hair was bleached at the hair salon. Even though, the hairdresser "toned" my hair, its still orange. But I want to be a dark golden blonde. Like a very light brown. What do I do to get the color I want? I feel like I'm close to it. Thanks.

    I want to get a platinum bluish/ purpleish silver hair..
    according to some source, I should have first a lvl 10 hair (bleach) then color it with a toner and lastly add color (but I'm not sure if it's reliable).
    question is, how can I get to level 10 from lvl 2/3?
    and what products can you suggest I should use?
    Thanks!!!

      Your hair has to be white blonde go even think about getting the colour you want. You can't use slightly blonde hair and expect to have the silver colour that's so popular. It will be muddy and not bright.

    I have a question I sorta get it but I need this clarified.Let's say I have a natural level 5 and she wants to go to pale blonde,Which is around a level 10.Should I use bleachh with 10 peroxide and after getting her to a level 6 use a level 10 to deposit with 40 peroxide with a violet to neutralize the yellow will I achieve pale blonde?

    • @itsanya7811
      @itsanya7811 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      usually on fresh bleached hair you cant use highlift dyes,because you already opened the cuticule of the hair and you already touched the cortex with the bleach molecules...now that the cortex its full open it takes everything you give it...its like you have an open wound and besides puting a bandage you give it alchool(hurts like hell) giving the hair a 40 volume highlift dye after 20 volume bleach its the death of the cortex...i would recomand bleaching with 20 volume(its 4 levels of lift) ,u said she is a 5 level that makes her hair be lighed to a 8-9 level...good,now reactivate the formula with 10 volume bleach over the existent bleach (dont even think doing this without a fiber bound as olaplex) so after all of this process you will get a full 10 level hair, but if your client has light skin it will probably be a pale yellow otherwise if you client has medium to dark skin the melanin from her skin in hair will make your 10 level hair be a goldie with a very pale tint of orange in it. hope it helps.

      It's just math: 10+4= 14/2= 7, that's what you'll get if you use equal parts. I mix colors all the time to get what I need (I studied Cosmetology).

    Level 1 has 50% more pigment than level 2. Level 2 has 50% more pigment than level 3. Level 3 has 50% more pigment than level 4. This means that Level 2 has 100% more pigment than level 4 and 200% more pigment than Level 6 this is why you can only lighten level 5 to 8 to some shade of blonde with Tint, darker shades have too much natural pigment to lighten that far even with High Lift Tint and 40 Volume. The pigment load almost doubles every 1 1/2 to 2 levels.

    what if you use 40 vol bleach for 10 min and wash it off and then use 10 vol bleach.. wouldnt it be faster?

    • @KittyIzzy6417
      @KittyIzzy6417 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think the health of the hair is more important than how much time it takes. 40 with bleach is super damaging even if its just ten minutes. and then if you put 10 over that, that's eve more damage being added. you'll most likely end up with noodle hair

    • @itsanya7811
      @itsanya7811 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      even if its only 10 minutes and then rise, its imposible to rise it 100% of hair ,adding the 10 volume then that makes the particles of 40 vol bleach that remaind reactivate...we know that 40 vol +bleach = 7to 9 levels of lift, imagine adding 10vol +bleach =2-3 levels lift...so in conclusion if you do that and reactivate the 40 vol bleach with 10 vol bleach you will get 10 to 12 levels of lift...practicaly your hair will be left with no cortex...and no cortex means thin and damaged hair...lets not talk about the fact that it could posible falloff your head. :)

    Hi all, can anyone answer this question? I am not a hair professional at all, I have been listening to these because I find them fascinating! I am a chemist, and well now I can understand what is being done to my hair. My question is about the developing time. He says to add 10 to get minutes, i.e. level 20 is 30 min, 40 is 50 min. Logic makes me think that the higher level of H2O2 in the 40L would need less time. Can anyone explain this? Thank you.

    • @ssarryo
      @ssarryo 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Ellen Heyer Maybe because the higher level developers are supposed to be used with a higher RPC value and therefore need more processing time?

    • @jaderule6459
      @jaderule6459 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ellen Heyer think he means the higher you need the more time because you only need higher vol when you need to lighten natural base colour a lot more than a 20 vol colour job needs.if you only need to use a 10 or 20 then you usually don't need to lighten the hair so you don't need to leave it on that long as it's just damaging and lightening more than you need with his colour line.i hope I explained that ok lol I am not good explaining things in writing.
