When young germans talk they just use a lot of english words. When I speak german with my friends there'll be a lot of english mixed into it 😄 Of course a lot of insults, but also words like cute, nice, cool, awesome, impressive, fabulous, hot, obsessed, invested... And so on 😂
The german Dub is my favourite, because it's so intimidating and if you know what she is saying it's even better, and it's the only language which properly pronounce "Heisenberg"

I think the German does the best job of conveying her building rage- it's one of those languages that can go from sexy to scary depending on the context and the speaker.
I'm italian and so far the italian one for me is the worst. So flat and and waaaay too sweet. Also the choice of words is very weird. I get that she's aristocratic and stuff, but it's just weird.

But while italian dubs used to be very good in the past, the quality is not as good now (imho). I think when it comes to this particular one they totally missed Lady D's essence of, basically, a dominatrix, giving her a very standard sweet feminine voice because female=sweet I guess..? While the original actress' voice is nuanced, strong, emotional... I found it in many videogames. The original is rich and detailed, the dub is "nice voice with perfect diction". I guess videogames are not important. And what I meant with the words, I mean, I often hear in dubs (and sometimes in shows in italian) people using words literally nobody uses in real life. Not even in their right context. A good example? In pirates of the Carribean the dub uses old words and phrases and it makes sense in the context, it sound right. In here it sounds weird. Almost like she speaks normally and every now and then threw in an outdated word because oh tall woman important. Sorry, in real life it's not that big of a deal, but the more I write about it the more I get triggered and I want to write lol I'll stop here

I love how Japanese actors tends to always seem out of breath when they are acting angry it makes them feel even more angry and no other language can top that. Languages like Russian or German are just intimidating
Honestly all of these are great but German definitely takes the cake for me. Especially because of the scenes where her anger shows. How her voice goes from calm to visibly holding her anger back before it comes out full force gave me shivers. Also I dont know if that was on purpose but the fact that she sounds the angriest when mentioning her daughters is an amazing detail nonetheless. I just...I just think the voice is neat

Hands down, Russian is my favorite followed by French, then German and Italian.
I'm italian and so far the italian one for me is the worst. So flat and and waaaay too sweet. Also the choice of words is very weird. I get that she's aristocratic and stuff, but it's just weird.

@@keyo3316 don't get me wrong, I don't think the dub is entirely bad and I think the actress is also fine. But while italian dubs used to be very good in the past, the quality is not as good now (imho). I think when it comes to this particular one they totally missed Lady D's essence of, basically, a dominatrix, giving her a very standard sweet feminine voice because female=sweet I guess..? While the original actress' voice is nuanced, strong, emotional... I found it in many videogames. The original is rich and detailed, the dub is "nice voice with perfect diction". I guess videogames are not important.
And what I meant with the words, I mean, I often hear in dubs (and sometimes in shows in italian) people using words literally nobody uses in real life. Not even in their right context. A good example? In pirates of the Carribean the dub uses old words and phrases and it makes sense in the context, it sound right. In here it sounds weird. Almost like she speaks normally and every now and then threw in an outdated word because oh tall woman important.

Honestly all of these are great but German definitely takes the cake for me. Especially because of the scenes where her anger shows. How her voice goes from calm to visibly holding her anger back before it comes out full force gave me shivers. Also I dont know if that was on purpose but the fact that she sounds the angriest when mentioning her daughters is an amazing detail nonetheless.

I as a Spanish speaker most dubs to spanish sound really off but honestly this has really impressed me, the actress in Spanish voice Acts really well and knows where to put emphasis.
Some improvement could be done and I say the actress sound a bit too young but she still sounds the part.

At first I heard the Spanish dub, and I wasn't convinced. But compared to the rest, for me it's the best one after the English.... much higher than the rest (and I'm not saying this for pure chauvinism)

The English dub is just more intimidating and that's what I love about Lady D

Ну так русский и английский - разные языки. Перевод создаётся на основе художественной составляющей, а поскольку в русском для описания эмоций и диалогов художественной стилистики используется огромнейший спектр слов, в отличие от сухого, в этом смысле, английского, то понятно почему это звучит по-другому.

They did a very quality job voicing characters in different languages. Dimitrescu speaking Russian actually uses some mild profanity and strongly accentuates her disdain for males.
