To give an example, prices of Tesla model 3 and Y are almost doubled, comparing to the Chinese market (and they all come from the Shanghai factory by far). This channel is amazing! I cannot believe that it has only 1600 subscribers. The quality of the review is very good. I have ordered a Marvel R Luxury, delivery second quarter 2022. Can't wait to get rid of my Volvo XC70 D5 AWD. I've had enough with burning dinosaur fuel! The only downside is as you said the trunk. That is truly the biggest and perhaps only, disadvantage the car really has. But because I took it on private leasing since the prices is so good here in Sweden, 3 years of bad trunk i can live with it 😊 You get a really nice car for less money than an ID 4 and other competitors.

Also the range needs to be higher, 250 mile range is less than the ZS and MG5. The MG5 is much much cheaper, more space and faster. Yes the Marvel R seems to have more tech but not enough really and the other two cars offer so much as standard this needs to do better if they want to charge another £10k on top. I also like to have some physical buttons to control the radio, heating etc and this doesn't seem to have that as its all done in the screen and I think is dangerous taking your eyes off the road for too long to look at a touch screen. Its a shame as I really like how it looks but for the price I'd prefer the MG5 here in the UK or the ZS when it comes down in price. MG need to bring out a small hatchback EV like the MG3 but an electric version, if they do that at less than £20k then it'd be a winner and reach more people.

What surprised me in your review was what you said about the entertainment system, because for me it was very unresponsive and lagged quite a bit. Sometimes had to press the button multiple times for it to respond and when it did it had to load a few seconds.
This car looks great with the cream/white interior really elevates it in terms of looking luxurious. The range is disappointing - the small battery size given the weight and size of car seems mis-matched. I understand the two motor version has slightly more boot space over the tri-motor version. That infotainment screen location is positively dangerous - I guess voice commands will help to some extent but don’t know how extensive the car’s repertoire might be. Luckily OTA update can address some of the issues if the manufacturer listens to customer feedback.
Please dear TH-cam reviewers. Don't just read the power consumption from the on-board computer. Recharge and determine the real consumption including charging losses. This is usually 20-25% higher.
@Wooly Chewbakker It isn't. I've got a Aiways U5 and exactly this experience. One might assume, that this is an isolated case. But others have the same experience with other vehicles. In winter, it can be even worse.

I seem to remember that the MG ZS EV used a petrol-based Bosch adaptive cruise that didn’t allow regen. Second what was the battery size? Hope your channel does well - it deserves to! Happy New Year!

Yes boot capacity is quite disappointing at 350 litres. My MG ZS EVs boot space with the rear seats in place is 470 litres. Hope it’s not a deal breaker for MG as otherwise it sounds like a great car.

Still to expensive. The closer they are to the competitors with price the bigger will the competition be. If I want to buy premium I buy an Iphone. If I want biggest bang for the buck I buy a Chinese phone KNOWING the camera images will not perfect and other minor things, but I am OK with that because it was cheap and suits my needs. Now Citroen c4 E is cheaper than MG ez ev and Marvel. I will go for Citroen every day of the week. Now if Chinese was half the price I would have thought of buying it.

and if you fold the seats it still takes a huge load :) since you got the luxury it’s the RWD right? then you also get the ~150L frunk.
