I play bari, and it isn't that much different air from the alto, but just a very tiny bit more, and they play past a 5+ of air and that shouldn't be reached by any instrument (why some of the bari notes sound like wet farts)
In my experience it takes a some more air than alto but not much more then the it or the Tenor. It's just practice mostly with it. You'll get it over time though if you beleive in yourself.
Sounds good, only thing I can say is Bari's work on upper register, the goal is to make that Altissimo F or F Sharp sound nice and full and if you can do that then everything bellow should follow.
I'm planning to switch to either bass clarinet or tenor sax. I'm leaning towards the bass clarinet cause I still wanna be apart of the clarinet fam. I do love the sound of tenor sax though but it's really heavy for me and at least the bass clarinet goes on the floor
Mehhh Idk I have to stand while playing BASSOON. But I also play bari and the bass clarinet. Bass clarinet is super fun so i think if you don't want to have a instrument hung off your neck play bass clarinet
I'm planning to switch to Bari sax for my upcoming sophomore years god alto saxes are gonna be pissed off at me for being loud they did to me when I was playing tenor sax but I don't care!!!
Mc windex The school bari I use at home (I have one at school and one at home so I don't have to take it on the bus) is an absolute mess. It's got scratches everywhere, dents every two feet of length if you straightened it out. Plays the high notes like crap, too. Really muffled. The one at school is ok though.
Cake Gaming well I started E flat Contrabass last Monday! But Bass is amazing. A new bass clarinetist started. But I've been wanting to play contra for a while now.
It's Nicole & Friends The Baritones are connected to the players with neck straps, so stands are not needed for the instrument to be held up. As a bass clarinet player, I prefer the ped v.s the strap, but both could be used in this situation.
+Rick leivan Sure thing! i originally uploaded the sheet music with the intent to have 3 bari saxes but afterwards the 2nd part got transposed for bass clarinet. The websites music editing software can be used to make that edit if you want to do that musescore.com/user/1844616/scores/741456
A bit late, but most Bari saxes will go slightly lower than bass clarinet. Although it sounds lower (woody sound) they have a very similar low range. Bass clarinet's Eb (Concert Db) is not quite as low as Bari's A (Concert C). Some Bari saxes do not go to low Bb, so those ones are equivalent to most bass clarinets. Something thats kinda interesting, if you finger the instruments the same in the low range, the same notes will be played even though they are called different things (cause of what the keys the instruments are in)
To try and simplify an answer to your comment, instruments used in this video were two low A Bari saxes and one low E flat bass clarinet. The bass clarinets low E flat is the equivalent of a baritone saxophones low B flat. This means that the two Bari saxes sound exactly one half step(note) lower than the bass clarinet. Most professional model bass clarinets have range to low C, three notes lower than the low E flat and two notes lower than the Bari saxes low A. To put it into perspective, in bass clef a bassoons lowest note is a written B flat. Since bass clarinet is in B flat, it’s lowest C will also be a B flat. Because of this a bassoon and bass clarinet are pretty much equally low. The bass clarinets low C is a bassoons low B flat. The low A on a Bari sax is a Bassoons low C and a bass clarinets low D sounding two notes higher than both the bassoon and bass clarinet. So yes, depending on the bass clarinet it may be slightly higher or slightly lower:p
What did we learn today? That one bass clarinet can be heard over two bari saxes
the bari players were bad
@@lildiq9989 they probably just played quieter so you could hear the bass clarinet
Bass clarinets rock
YES!!!
24/7!!!
Black saxophone, blaxophone
no bari sax
Both do
This is literally the best trio I've ever heard ;) I play bass clarinet and hope to sound that good, some day....
Same
First you need to practice
Second you need to change your profile picture
I need to get my lungs worked up bigger so I can play the Bari as well as you two do!

I'm pretty good at bari, just my breathing is ass
I play Bari (and I’m tiny) and it’s almost no different from Alto but it’s obviously heavier and a little bit more air
awesome. I just started barry sax and this is my third year playing bass clarinet
Made me smile
Helped me work some cases today!!

Imagine how us Bari players feel. :P

The one problem I had with playing Bass Clarinet was that nobody ever heard me. I got buried all the time. That's why I'm a Sax guy now.
I'm planning to switch to Bari sax for my upcoming sophomore years god alto saxes are gonna be pissed off at me for being loud they did to me when I was playing tenor sax but I don't care!!!
My jazz band needs to play this
I played it for Marching Band it's easy....
don't low woodwind trios normally have a bassoon/bass clarinet/ Bari sax?
I was working with what I had :P
I'm the same way, honestly.
+HeyIExist if you didn't know Bari is short for baritone so it is there
+HeyIExist and also bass clarinet was there so the comment was irrelevant
Andrew Avila No I was saying there isn't a bassoon, I know there are 2 bri saxes and a bass clarinet :P
IM DOING THIS WITH MY LOW REEDS SECTION HELL EFFING YEAH
Jackie tv you should record it!! I’d love to see the performance!
Have you done it yet?
And technically low woodwinds don’t always have reeds take contrabass flute for example they don’t have reeds
yes but i bet they wanted only those two instruments
both of these instruments have reeds
The contrabass flute isn’t in band a bass trombone maybe
I love how at 0:07 you see Will and I and laugh a little! haha!
I love playing the baritone but mine is so old
same my bari is old too :)
My director tells me everyday to buy my own bari
mine was bought the first year the school opened
Your Name same mines 16 years old.

I play bass clarinet, but I'm going to play ContraBas next year. Then I'll eventually play bassoon, probably in college.
basson is fun and i start bari today
Anime Nightcore how is the bass clari?
ORR-15 that's awesome!!!!
Cake Gaming well I started E flat Contrabass last Monday! But Bass is amazing. A new bass clarinetist started. But I've been wanting to play contra for a while now.
Stick to bass it has the sweetest and most versatile sound.
This is so good!
I wish there was a contrabassoon as well :D
The bass clarinet is the lightest of those and it has a stand. I will never not be confused.

The bass clarinet need to be straight in order to be played
They do make stands for a Bari Sax
Morgan Wallace please never call it a baritone ever again
It's Nicole & Friends I play alto and held a bass clarinet. I can easily say that the alto sax, even with a neckstrap, feels heavier.
Do u have sheet music for this it is really good love it good dynamics

I’m playing this song on a soprano clarinet for a concert in May. Im expected to go from an A to a B in 16th notes.... (my instrument is Bb)
It's Nicole & Friends pfftt, that's easy. We had to go from open G to high D multiple times, 16th note triplets, with a 144 beat tempo, while marching
@@devinsayer4238 going from a to high c or even middle c is difficult or d or anything really... good job
That bass clarinetist has a real bad shiver in her sound at the end.
A girl bari player!! i play bari sax in my band and im the only girl
Same!!!
0:09 HOLD THAT BASS CLARINET WITH BOTH HAND
me and the boys playin this
Friggen awesome
Low woodwind, it's called low reeds
Well you can't exclude the subcontrabass flute!
Rockington TheThird actually it can be calles both

jackson pressley I was just about to say that
jonathan price lol, at least someone know what they are talking about😂
My band plays this at football games
anyone have any good bari/bassoon/bass clarinet trio pieces?
The actual video starts at 0:52
Wow
I want a bari but I play brass😒
Ultra DeadlyAssassin bari is made of brass if that makes you feel any better
Who's the girl on Baritone Saxophone? Looks kinda cute
fuera de tiempos, muy rigidos

ssgupta music no man 😂🤦🏽♂️ bass clarinet is lower
@@jarnelldemesme8081 No 😂🤦♂️
Nicolas Hoggard if you know music it is, Bari sax is a BARITONE pitched instrument , Bass clarinet is a BASS instrument

Does anyone else have issues with the link for the score
Jacobi Nelson yeah nothing happens
Por favor, qual a marca deste barítono do rapaz?
What a babe
She is someones princess and he will probably kick your ass
Love the arrangement, but take the camera out of auto focus next time.
Can you focus the camera at all
one heckelphone would sound better
papoocanada eww, hecklaphones are nasty af
Damn, come thru Satan.
Good job but camera person plz don't zoom in and out. That hurts my eyes 👀:|
That's the limitation of auto focus: It doesn't know (what's important) to focus on.
What about bassoon :(
What song is this
バリサクピッチ合ってないのになんで最初のチューニングやめたんや
Why can't y'all just use a bass flute
would in it be a b flat clarinet in sted of a bass clarinet?
aj styles fan Then it wouldn't be a "low woodwind trio" if there was just a regular B flat clarinet.
Bass clarinet IS in Bb. Don't worry about the other fella. When someone says "Bb Clarinet", the first thing to come to mind is the Bb Soprano clarinet
It was good but the camera girl is kinda trash at keeping it in focus
Not the best bass clarinet I’ve heard
you should of just put piano
Illuminati Marshmello0925 The Piano Is A String Instrument
_ DonutMaster56 _ LOL
_ DonutMaster56 _ you just made my day! 😂 piano is a percussion instrument!!!!
_ DonutMaster56 _ how could you think it was a string instrument! 🤣🤣
GreenEthan/ /GamingPlusMORE A Piano Is A String *And* Percussion Instrument
And the bari saxes shouldnt play the solo
Im sorry but that bass clarinet sounds trash tbh
