Two other sources for ideas: If you've unsuccessfully wracked your brain for ideas, put it aside for a while. Go for a walk, thinking about something else, and let the idea return to you naturally. Or, sleep on it. I have worked out a lot of creative ideas by walking or sleeping, giving the conscious mind a rest and letting the unconscious mind do the work.

I'm with you, Jerry. Everyone likes to say that screenwriting is about "sitting your butt down in front of the computer and just writing"--but for me it's actually often going for a walk...

Great advice. Let the ideas write themselves. We are just the vessels for stories to manifest themselves through.

Please do Christopher Lloyd and Steven Levitan next(modern family). I wan't to learn more about sitcoms. Your office video was also very helpfull.

Make sure the guys your working with are much more talented than you, and then take as much of the credit as you can... it helps if your uncle owns the company.

If you will want to make a video showing a scene written by Stan Lee like you guys often do on this channel - I know the obvious choice would be going with Spider-Man, but I think his best work is probably Silver Surfer: Parable. It's Stan at his most poetic and cerebral, paired up with probably the best artist in history, Moebius. It also won an Eisner, which is basically Oscar for comics.

Hey Outstanding screenplays, great work as usual, and keep it going!
If you ever read this comment you should make a video about the Coen Brothers and their experiences in the industry.

Strange seeing Larry King interview him. Both are now dead, and were so alive during my first 40 years....

No new ideas. It’s about execution.
      Marvel did it BETTER.
