Bret's criticisms were said before Bret found out Ric was sick for all of their matches; poor balance but still working in spite of the disorientation. Ric's techniques were simple but try doing simple techniques for an hour straight, like Flair often did back in the 70s. Flair outlasted and outlived the majority of wrestlers. That kind of longevity doesn't vanish. It'll be a long time before another wrestler attempts a real match at age 73.

I remember Bret bitching about Ric because Ric always wanted to do the same match every night. This is the first time I've ever heard Bret praise Ric.
Brett and Taker are my all time favorites. I give Flair his due respect but I agree with Ole Anderson. You see one Flair match, you have seen them all.

How Flair won his first WWE title at the 92 Royal Rumble, entering at #3, then going non stop for over an hour, shows how much he deserved that belt.
Bret's attitude towards Ric seems to have changed over the years....
I can't remember who said it but they pointed out that Ric has been wresting the same match for 30 years and originally he knocked it. But then he realized Ric has been wrestling almost everyday for 30 years every jabroni they put him in the ring with him and he could still go at his age, that's even more impressive then he ever gave him credit for.
Flair was called the 60 minute man...in the ring AND with the ladies!😊
I remember as a child watching these two at the L.A sports arena , Bret had pulled Flairs panties off and mooned the crowd 😂😂😂
Brett has some smart people telling him to say something nice. It's nice not hearing whining and complaining about losing a scripted match in Canada or about Goldberg for once.

Brett was always my favorite wrestler as a kid. I always wanted a pair of those darn glasses...lol. Also I liked the ultimate warrior and Shawn Michaels a lot.
