Before anyone criticizes Flair for his abilities, or lack thereof, one has to remember that he survived a plane crash and was told by doctors that he would never wrestle again. Yes, Hart was the better technical wrestler, but Flair was the better performer and one of the best men ever on the microphone.

Ric was the MAN! I ran into him in in a hotel bar in Tampa. Of course a bar lol. The man had “IT” in real life. Women FLOCKED to him. He lived the life. He was RIC FLAIR! He was also the best, nicest man. A wonderful guy. He outdrank the F*CK outta me 😂! Ileft before he did, stumbling. He could’ve wrestled for an hour. He was barely phased. I love him.

I use too not like Ric Flair and i didnt understand what ppl seen in him as being one of the greatest ever, but i watched his documentary The Nature Boy and my perspective started changing positively,Bret Hart is my favorite wrestler of all times,so his validation is the cherry on top, that Ric Flair is without doubt, one of the top 10 guys of all time!

Everyone who wrestle Ric said Ric could do a Broadway every night. Steamboat and Flair would do Broadways even if Promoter told them to go just 20 to 30 min just for the fun of it because they had such good chemistry. 😊

“There’s not many guys that could blow up Bret Hart”. It’s kind of a backhanded compliment, but in reality he’s right because the guy could Russell all day long. I mean you’ve seen him wrestle in an hour match against HBK. Bret Hart, and Curt Henning were two of the best of their era if not the best.

Most of us grandpas remember the reason why Ric was somewhat limited in the ring. If it wasn’t for that plane crash he would have looked and worked totally different. When you see a pre-plane crash picture of Flairs physique it’s kind of shocking the first time.

The first wrestling match I remember ever watching was Flair v Steamboat the one in the stadium
The first wrestler I really got into was Bret Heart.
Him beating Flair to me was a huge cause Flair to me was my dad's champ(it was actually Bruno but he loved Flair because they both heels) and as a kid growing up doing amateur wrestling Bret would do perfectly executed real stuff like a sit out switch to reverse a hammer lock. Him winning and guys like Flair being legitimate old guard guys who could do legitimate mat wrestling, they made it believe able.
    Because Hogan confused me
    Ultimate Warrior confused me
As a kid I was like how is this guy the champion, is the weight difference so dramatic that a bum like Hogan just lay his weight on a guy like Flair or Bret?

Probably one of the biggest compliments you can get in wrestling is hearing the Hitman say you could work in the ring ... There's something I like to call Micheal Jordan syndrome ... Micheal Jordan's biggest flaw as a man was not understanding how great he really was he'd yell at teammates and get mad because they couldn't do the things he was doing and eventually Micheal Jordan bought a NBA team and he failed as a owner because again he didn't have realistic expectations for his players he just thought his guys could play the way he did if they worked hard enough ... Brett was the same way he was such a great in ring talent that he'd go out and put together these spectacular matches and get mad when the other guys didn't execute what he had planned Brett never understood that he needed to dumb down for certain opponents ... So when Brett says this guys could hang with him that's a massive compliment

I can't remember who said it but they pointed out that Ric has been wresting the same match for 30 years and originally he knocked it. But then he realized Ric has been wrestling almost everyday for 30 years every jabroni they put him in the ring with him and he could still go at his age, that's even more impressive then he ever gave him credit for.
