I got a question, I've ran across a Genetec system in existing installation, and I've successfully added Axis camera and Axis Speaker C1310-E. The Mic and speaker has been added (linked) to the new camera and I can hear the microphone from C1310-E picking up the sound when selecting the camera and unmuting the Speaker. However I cannot send Microphone from the Security Desk workstation to the Speaker. Thinking about it for a bit... the Microphone that's selected is actually internal microphone on the C1310-E and I know that's working. But there's nowhere I can select my workstation Microphone. I'm not sure if it's detected automatically or if I have to make a selection for the workstation mic in options. but i think that's a step i'm missing. Can you give me a quick pointer on this situation, or is it that Genetec Security desktop maybe doesn't support 2-way audio?
I don't work for Genetec anymore, so I dont have access to GSC. However, what you are attempting is differently possible. Go and check the OPTIONS menu. In there you should be able to select your computers mic. If that doesn't work let me know and I will get you in contact with you local Genetec resource.
Hello, I would like you to cover the rotation of PTZ surveillance cameras and also how to stop a camera but with movement, to follow a target. Of course, how to do that, I would like you to address the issue of more in-depth monitoring. Thank you.
Hey I want to talk about some of these things if you get time. I'm interested in some nice AI cameras like you did the wisenet ai with genetech and the object detection but I need to know is this heavy on the NVR processing the metadata or the camera doing the ai? What's a solid NVR for the AI?
Unfortunately this type of feature is tough to demonstrate from my existing set up. GSC can support up to 8 monitors with each monitor capable of running an individual task. Keep in mind, the workstation that you are using will ned top be properly sized in order to run that many monitors.

@BuckarooSamurai 1 minute ago Trying to get leaders to understand this bit about recording on motion only has been a nightmare. It routinely falls on deaf ears and then they wonder why we routinely come up empty on investigations or only have partial recordings even though motion has been set to incredibly low thresholds. A lot of the 10,000ft view folks just don't seem to get that that capture on motion should be a tool to assist with going through footage but should not replace full recordings. th-cam.com/video/pQYo_jdnBM4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=qQk66NCbrvZD0WMR&t=1812
Love this video. I am already using Genetec SC and this is a great refresher.
I am a system architect working on a project where the solution will be used. This is a great jump-start for someone learning the solution. Thanks.

How do none of you know that you contact the manufacturer and the people who get paid to answer your simple questions....or you could read.

always record something! even if its lower quality video. motion detection only will always lead to "lost video"
