    * When I was 26 - prior to discovering Grey Flannel in (1976-77) CHANEL Pour Monsieur EDT was my signature scent when I worked in downtown San Francisco. Not too many in the City knew about this studding gem!

    The oakmoss in the original Borsalino in 85' was much more intoxicating! I purchased a bottle last year from Enchante. On my skin it dissipates too quickly.

    • @RamseytheRam
      @RamseytheRam  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes I agree ... my bottle is not from enchante it is from le parfumier but it still only last 4 hours or so on my skin... i just re-apply all day when I wear this fragrance... good thing I got the 200 ml bottle so I can just drench myself in this fragrance when I wear it 😊

    I have a bottle of the current formulation of Antaeus (black atomiser) which I have read is a lot better than the previous formulation with the silver atomiser.
    I’m sure vintage is better but the current formulation is still pretty special in my opinion. And, dare I say it, quite wearable after the first 30minutes. Lasts all day and then some. I purchased it more out of of curiosity and then found myself wearing it everyday.

    • @RamseytheRam

    I recommend Boy. Olivier did a great job making a modern unisex fougere that presents different floral facets traditionally considered masculine (lavender, geranium) and feminine (rose, heliotrope). It’s a Dr. Jekyll Mr. Hyde perfume morphing between the masculine and feminine styles during the scent progression, yet still fluid and smooth like a typical Chanel.

    Hey Rams,enjoying your perfumers portrait the family Polge, but gotta take a rain check busy long work day and in again in the morning doesn’t help when the clock going forward an hour tonight dammit ,anyways a food for thought question for ya ,do you ever wonder if you stumble across a fragrance that absolutely blows your mind and it’s so damn good and fulfilling that it pales all those fragrances that you put on pedestals and adored into insignificance?ooh scary thought 💭 kinda makes ya never want to find the one ring to rule them all .nite Rams smell ya later ✌️

    Dude can I ask you something... I know you have like hundreds of fragrances.. But is there ever a time where you're satisfied with what you have and need for nothing else? Or do you always have something in mind that you want to try or buy? Reason I ask Is I feel like Im headed down a road I don't want to go so ive put the breaks on if you know what I mean.

    • @RamseytheRam

      Yea thats a really good question .. there are some videos out there on fragrance addiction... eugene did a really good video on it from years ago with his wife where they talk about the topic... i personally know I have probably gone a bit overboard but I see it as more of a hobby... i have my own house and car and I have no debt...if i was financially struggling I would really have to prioritze but I have worked hard over the years and been pretty blessed. It can be an expensive hobby but I dont golf or anything like that... fragrances are my hobby ... but I have gotten to the point in my collection where of I never purchased another fragrance I would be fine as I am satisfied with what I have... i would be sad because I love this hobby & I love smelling new things and learning about fragrances I am unfamiliar with... my advice to a younger me is sample a ton of stuff you dont always need a full bottle (decants or splits are fine) & trust your own nose. Dont ever blind buy based on these "reviewers" who are really unofficial salespeople for the brand .. trust your own nose and no one elses .. sorry for the long response but that was a serious question & worth addressing as I am hoping this answer not just helps you but helps other who read this as well. 🍻

      Thank you so much for the reply man , I really appreciate it. Im going to check out the other vids you have mentioned. Even this this isnt effecting me financially , I don't it to get out of control... I only have 32 fragrances but Im finding myself purchasing 1 sometimes 2 a month for the past 4 months or so. For about ten years I've only had 4 fragrances Oscar for men , Pour Lui , Polo and Eternity which I liked and thought would last me a lifetime considering my work place is scent free. But about 6 months ago I purchased another one on Fragrancenet and have been like I mentioned above. Sorry for rambling but I just figured I would ask and I knew that of all the youtubers who do fragrance vids that you would be the one ti give me an honest answer as I know many others are paid to say most the content in their videos. Thanks again bro🤜
