  • Jumbo Perch can provide some of the best fishing opportunities across the Midwest and into Canada. In this episode, James Lindner and Jake Wallace reveal a great sight fishing bite in less than six feet of water. Jeff Simpson and Ty Sjodin head over to the Prairie Pothole region in South Dakota and tangle with some jumbo perch while offering up some tips on targeting the biggest perch in the school. We also cover some new perch ice gear, ice electronics, rods, lures and more! Afterwards we will visit one of the best jumbo perch destinations in the state of Minnesota, Leech Lake. To wrap up the show we'll join Jeremy Smith as he shows us one of his favorite recipes for walleye wings and cheeks.

    Wow just seeing this out of the box th-cam.com/users/postUgkxQr1yd4Zc6qJF-scTB6Zb9dQbVpviuRxB recommend I have yet to fish with this set up, but based on the first hands on appeal, I can tell this is going to change the way i pack and carry to a whole new level. If you fish like i do, you know the smaller and less stuff the better. I’ve added a photo of just some of my gear so you can see how serious i am about fishing.

    My experience with perch in shallow is the bigger the hole they are more wary. 6” hole works best

    That bluegill “catch” at 15:30 was one of the most suspect catches I’ve ever seen lol. Not so sure that one wasn’t “scheduled”.

    There's so much fishing pressure where I live that they're very picky eaters and it's impossible to catch big ones

    Sight fishing tip tip: Drop some broken egg shells down the hole. Fish show up a lot better against a white bottom. NO, it's not pollution. Egg shells are just natural calcium.

    Привет из России! Классная рыбалка! У нас ловят окуня по другому, так как ловите вы хорошо поймать у нас будет тяжело, мы ловим более эффективными методами. Или у вас окунь другой и реагирует на другие колебания.

    Did you know every time you buy a fishing license you are begging for permission to catch a fish from people who are hired to protect your RIGHT TO FISH !

    • @apan2480
      @apan2480 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Let me guess, you're over 40 years old? What about places that stock fish? Where does that money come from? Buying a fishing license helps get money back into programs that protect, and supply fishing for a strong future. Its not about control lol

    • @JJ-kz7sm
      @JJ-kz7sm 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Selling licenses to fish isn't to help the resource, it's to make a profit. In turn for the profit they help manage the resource but often that money is spent elsewhere, outside the system it was purchased for. Say I buy a fishing license but the majority of money is helping trans people learn to catch and identify butterflies. This is the reality of government run systems, the overlord is in control.

      @@JJ-kz7sm Thats complete, and utter bullshit and you know it. Instead of assuming things like that, actually look at the documents fish, and wildlife provide the public. All information of how much money made, and then returned to the public is all free and open information.
