I watched a clip Jay had posted about how his musical compares to the original epic and he said that his is focused around Odysseus learning to be ruthless (as a positive character trait) rather than the hubris that was Odysseus' original character flaw in the epic. And so this song is really impactful because this is where he truly embraces that.

Circe turned them into pigs, but technically speaking, they were still alive, when she could have chosen to eat them or poison them in their sleep. She's the least monstruous of the three. Well, if we don't count with the sex slave thing. The point is, aside from that detail, she was smart enough to find ways to keep them alive while protecting herself and her people.

And I still fail to see the logic of shooting the first sheep you find, when you risk scaring the rest. It would have been a thought that could have spared some suffering, even if accidentally. I don't think he deserved his blindness. Had certain better choices be made...
Deserved? Maybe not, but it was the necessary decision at the time. True they did shoot first at the sheep, but Odysseus tried to smooth out the misunderstanding and was met with immediate violence; its not even a matter of justified retaliation at that point, it's fighting for your life

Am I really using songs from midia such as "Epic" to get inspiration for a crossover fanfic that involves some children shows ? Yes. Does it bother me ? No. They were fun shows with implications that make you look back. And now they get to expand their boundaries by being crossovered with less child friendly sagas. Sagas that allow those implications to be a bit more specific. This song is used for my scenario involving an old anime called "Brave Beats", and the anime "Madoka Magica".
This song makes me think of a character named Gon Freeces and those who watched Hunter X Hunter then you know why. For those who dont Gon goes through a development unloke any other Shounen MC ever sure he starts off as the innocent child but in the HxH universe...thats almost impossible to hold on to so Gon NEEDS protectors to keep said innocence.There are protectors in each HxH arc in the hunter exams and Killua Retreval arcs its Kurapika and Leorio,in the York New city arc onwards its Killua,but in the chimera ant Arc we meet a character named Kite and hes played up as this super strong man who will help protect Gon and then...he dies.Gon doesnt care about himself he cares about other people so if your so weak that you cant protect the people you care about...abd you hold on to the hope that the person who died survived...what would you do when your world view,your innocence...is shattered? What would appear from the vacuum? A monster,the darkness of the world would seep in and you would understand that you arent a chold anymore and for the record Gon is 12 And since he was nine years old hes had to go through the deaths of friends,allies and anything else....and he was protected.But when he cant be protected its like playing Jenga with a dam and the dam holding back the dark burst open.Gon isnt the standered shonen MC cause he doesnt represent the keeping of innocence he represents the loss of innocence.I highly reccomend watch HxH its amazing.Thanks for.listening to my ted talk
