Good for you, Miranda! You finally wore him down ;-) I almost choked when I saw the bright green counter tops. That's a trip in the 'Way-back Machine". Getting kids outside; in my house I had the x-box and other electronics in a closed room I could lock. And it was locked from Sunday evening until Friday, after all the homework and chores were done. Even then, the rule was "if it isn't physically raining this very instant, outside with you!" I figured I would rather have them read a book, break an arm falling out of a tree or getting a poke in the nose after saying the wrong thing to a bigger kid than getting carpel tunnel syndrome in the their thumbs from all the controller use. Being outside and actually interacting with other live human beings does teach better interpersonal skills. You are going to love it there. It will give you the chance to teach your young'uns some great life skills they never would've had in the city. Oh, and please give a little update on Trixie when you get a chance. Congrats on the tree change. Great move. We did it 5 years ago, moving from Brisbane to Maleny on the Sunshine Coast. Great move. We have since done an extensive renovation and have decided it's done, no more. Recommend you give priority to a leak-free roof, septic, water and electricals. @michaelsecomb4115 thanks for the advice mate, yes with the age of the property there is bound to be things that need to be fixed. @@RoaminintheRobbo Absolutely! Would love to come and see you!! It’s been way too long x 🩷
@@LivingDownUnderNSW it has!!!
Congrats guys, something we’d love to do one day ourselves. Looks like a beautiful property with so much potential. One of those sheds needs to be made into an outdoor kitchen with a bar, smoker and a big fire pit! You guys will make the best Hipcamp hosts too. I reckon you need to do a catchup camping weekend on your property one day 😉 for all your TH-cam camping friends.
@reefnscapes8533 thanks David! Awesome idea for one of the sheds too!
A big camping weekend sounds like fun, we will have to add that to our list of things we can do at the property 😁
It has so much potential, and even though we have a lot of work ahead of us it will be worth it 😁
Thanks for watching! 🍻
Christmas dinner in the Ziggy out by the Robbo might be in order!?
@OutbackBowmans I think that is what is going to be if the kitchen isn't finished, would be a perfect first Christmas in the new place 😁
Looks like a beautiful place
It really is! We feel very lucky to be able to call it home 😊💚
That’s great news congratulations look forward to staying when, you are a Hipcamp. Just a matter of interest how many acres?
@@thatcrrider6839 thank you ❤️ we look forward to welcoming you when we are finally up and running. The property is 9 acres 😊
Good luck with the new place, look forward to seeing the progress. Marron in that dam hopefully 👌. Definitely keen on watching the Reno progress, as for the sheds? Cottages for people to stay = $$. Hip camp a great idea
@darrylearnshaw7102 thanks mate. Unfortunately no marron yet but hopefully we can change that situation! 😊
Great idea re: the sheds! Goodness knows why the previous owner needed so many!?!
We look forward to sharing the progress with you 😊 thanks for watching mate 🍻
Congrats love it you will have a ball ❤
@normansmith-t9w thanks mate, absolutely loving it already 😁 thanks for watching!
Hi welcome to mt barker.
@bridgetgriff255 hi! Thank you!!! Such a beautiful place ❤️
Sounds like the dawn of a new age for the channel!
@@KWofPerth 😂 certainly is! Lots of changes ahead 😊
Absolutely would love to see some Reno's, the slower way of life down there!
@tonylocke6822 we can't wait to slow down the pace! Awesome we will be sure to put out some vids of how the Reno's are taking shape 😁 people might be able to give us some advice to as we are clueless 🤣 thanks for watching!
Congratulations guys so happy for you’s how many acres are you on and Reno vids would be great to see
@Podge. thanks Podge! It is 9 acres, with half of those taken up by sheds 🤣🤣 thanks for the support mate we will definitely do reno videos. Will be nice for us to look back on and it will be a good laugh for you as we are clueless 😂
Excellent look forward to watching them and I will definitely be down once you have your hip camp up and running in the future
Ps loving the beard mate
@Podge. that would be awesome mate! 🏕🏕
@@Podge. it helps keep me warm 😂
G'day guys, looking forward to the life/channel/video updates, we have a Lincoln Mk3 that after a few trips, the mrs decided it was too hot and bright for a 2yr old and his day naps so come Christmas we take delivery of a Parkes 15 hybrid! Hearing you have a big sponsor coming on board makes me excited for a possible channel name change - "Foraging in the Forbes"?
@CptnAwsmBalls thanks mate! Congrats on the new camper, with a little one the set up will be much easier for you too.
Hahaha love it Forging with the Forbes! Has quite the ring to it 😊
Thanks for watching, happy and safe travels!
P.s love to watch the renovations
@leenicolemoulding6681 awesome think we might have to start adding them, as people seem to be interested in seeing them which is really cool! 😁
And yes bring on the reno vids
@@stevematalone2512 we have been blown away by how many people are keen to see them! We will definitely take you guys on the journey and give you all a laugh at how clueless we are at them 😂
I thought said she was asleep but she was inside hard at work painting!😅
@@JenBolst 😂😂 I was actually still sleeping when he was first wandering around the paddock. Craig is always up much earlier than me 😊
awesome news !! what was the end result on the mitsubishi engine ?
@electrasonic happy to report Trixie the Triton is back up and running. The motor had siezed but they got the engine rebuilt and she is running well 😁
May I ask what made you make a change?
But congratulations on the tree change 🎉
@leenicolemoulding6681 thanks! We just love the slowing pace of life that being in the country offers and not having our neighbours right on our doorstep was another big thing we wanted 😊 thanks for watching!
I’m guessing the new sponsor is Akubra to sort out the hat debacle
@@thomasseeber 😂😂 maybe....🤠🤔

Ps your ment to paint the walls Miranda not your overalls 😂
@Neil-clare thanks guys! We are just loving it and even though it is a lot of work ahead it is so rewarding seeing the changes we are making , you don't mind doing it 😊
Even better we have so many more new amazing places on our doorstep to explore to. Win win! Hehehe yeah I'm a bit of a messy painter 😂 happy to say though the end results on the walls always looks better than what I do in the end 😁
If you ever decide to do a trip in the Great Southern Region of WA be sure to come and camp in our paddock 😊💚
@@RoaminintheRobbo yes a lot of work but the end result will be amazing! Oh we will be doing a wa trip but we’d make a detour to come down and camp at your hip camp 🤗 Infact I think we’re the first to book ours names are down already check your booking 🤣 so your first customers 🤗 painting is messy I must say….i don’t do diy I get someone else to do it 🤣 so happy for you guys what an adventure this is going be 🙌🏻 good luck 🤗
@Neil-clare 🤣🤣 well we can't wait to welcome our first customers 😁
Wish we could pay for someone to do it, but unfortunately we have to do it ourselves, it is more rewarding that way right 🤔🤣
@@RoaminintheRobbo you forgot to put our first 👉🏻free👈🏻customers 😂 no it’s not more rewarding it’s hard work….its more rewarding watching someone else do it 😂 as for the sheds maybe Garbo boy could use one big shed to do 4wd/camper courses how things work with the car with 4 wheel driving and tips and doing mods to the caravan and showing people how things work so there trips are better prepared as you/Craig knows a thing or 2 about life in the outback and maybe do some weekend mini tours to places.maybe if your property has a dark sky that could be used for astronomy clubs/amateur astronomers to use for a fee……that’s my 2 cents input…..oh and Miranda’s packet cooking classes in another shed 😂 oh I must pm you.
Thanks for the reply 🙌🏻
@Neil-clare 🤣🤣 yes i have to say it would be far more rewarding to just have someone do the work for us 🤣
Love the suggestions for the uses of the sheds! We could get quite a side hustle going on the property! hehehe I'm not sure in the country where everyone bakes from scratch that my packet cooking would go down too well 🤣🤣
