I finally gave in to popular demand and added the big gold championship to my replica collection. I got the wcw version because wcw was my access to pro wrestling as a kid. Also after it became part of wwe the only time they treated the title with any kind of respect was Triple H was champion or when he was in the title picture. The rest of the time the title was in the semi main event or on the under card

Scored a 1999 figs toy company officially licensed WCW belt on eBay for less than $130. Can't wait for it to arrive. Finally got the trinity of 90s world titles (WCW big gold, WWE big eagle, and ECW world title).

@@HectorTheCollectorI messaged the seller before placing a bid and they said it's an official adult replica they got from the early 00s. I'm still waiting for it to get delivered but I won the auction at the last second. Didn't come with a bag but I found a figures toy company belt bag online to put it in once it arrives.
@@HectorTheCollectorI'm not sure how thick it is though. The pics didn't show the thickness/bottom of the belt. I'm guessing for the price it's probably 1mm or 2mm (after researching the belt a bit more and seeing videos) but idk honestly. I'm not an expert on collecting belts. I just wanted a big gold, winged eagle and ecw belt. I don't have the money or space to collect more belts or have a bunch of different versions of a specific title lol.
The back of the belt says official WCW replica copyright 1999 so idk if it was made in 1999, 2000 or 2001. The seller said it was a gift to them right before wcw went out of business.

You should do a review of the size of each big gold belt
I've owned a couple Fandu belts and my experience with then is that they lose paint pretty early on. My fandu antique started losing paint on the nameplate early on and I lost paint on my fandu dual plated version 4. I lost paint on the globe, some of the letters and some of the floral pattern. The belt still looked nice but I got rid of it.
Dang. Even on the Luxe? Well mine is inside a case.
@@HectorTheCollector I don't have a Luxe but I've seen some Luxe on TH-cam and Facebook that have paint problems. I've had a used Andre 87 for a couple of years and so far I've had better luck with that one. Good luck.

To buy? They don't sell the WWE replicas brand new from figs toy co anymore. You have to find them on ebay.
the Fandu one blows them away. belt plats should not be flat as a pancake. Flat is awful.

@@HectorTheCollector thx, that would be nice. after almost 25 mini replicas i got yesterday my first big one. the blue big eagle. cause of the room they need and the higher costs i would not want to have so many big ones. but the dual plated winged eagle, the undisputed v2 and a nice big gold would be nice to have them here.
@@HectorTheCollector today my fandu all gold luxe big gold arrived. just wanted to say thanks for your comparising. ordered my fandu 4 days ago and today it arrived here (in germany). took the gold one cause me personally i dont like the silver plate of the dual plated luxe.
The Fandu Luxe Big Gold by far is the best. The others look like the very first big gold version that Figures Inc put out back in 1999-2000. The WWE one has a more detail than the others but I still say the Fandu is my favorite. The WWE big gold just looks too shiny and gold and Flairs original NWA Big Gold wasn’t that shinny it was more or less like the Fandu. I wanna say that I even think the original big gold was dual plated or at least it’s seems that way when I’ve looked at some of the old NWA wrestling videos. The original Big Gold was dual plated. The one use in NWA and WCW.
@@HectorTheCollector yeah I thought it was cuz I watched the video of when Ric Flair first got the belt and I’d pause the video when they would show the belt and you can notice that it was dual plated. I even think that the rope border was like silver but I’m not sure if it really was or if maybe the lights reflecting off it made it look like that.

Well he's dead by now, but I have looked at other big golds that are highly detailed and not replicas. They are thousands of dollars and take months to make.
