Fandu should just start selling only plates as sets. It’s definite that their not leather/strap experts.
Love the honest reviews. Fandu leather has always sucked, and I’m not sure if the plates justify it being a $800 belt $820 if you get a nameplate. If they sold the plates only for around $600 to $650, then I’d bite, but to get it releathered on a hand tooled strap, you’re into it for $1150 for a replica.
Plates are the onlything that justify 800 bucks unless you get the origiinal belt biggold c look sting 4500 bucks from the original family of the belt maker himself

No, after I saw some of the Fandu Luxe had tarnish issues, I bought the WWE Shop Crumrine instead.

First I had the normal big gold from Fandu and then bought the luxe. Love this Belt ... The plates are incredibel ... Fandu ships very quickly and with no problems

The plates are amazing but the strap is complete garbage. The snaps fell off after unsnapping them. Right now it’s in the process of getting re leathered with a special design project my leather guy and I are working on.
So it's settled. Buy a Fandu dual plated DELUXE and get PM to releather in brown with black backing. Thanks for the review, stay safe mate.

Wasn't fan backlash. It had a spelling mistake, as the T looked like an I. Anyone who ordered it and received it, got to keep the spelling mistake belt and will be receiving a replaced.
@@Crimson_Logic Ok, but they made a post stating all the changes to the title, curved face plate, side bars now attached to face plate, deeper etching, etc.
WWE hasn't re-released it as of yet. They've only started to re-release the V2 Undisputed with the black strap.
If only the name plate had accurate font.

I have one major gripe and two minor gripes with this replica.
The first minor gripe is that the left and right ends of the belt seem to still use the same cutoff as the original Fandu. So, they’re a bit shorter than the Crumrine.
The second minor gripe is that, at least from what I could see in pictures and this video, the crown is inaccurate. The diamond on the crown should be silver, and the clear stones should be square.
Now, I can happily live with both of those gripes, but my major gripe is the font of World Heavyweight Wrestling Championship. I just can’t get on with it. It’s just slightly too narrow and too bold compared to the original Crumrine. For whatever reason I find the font of the WWE logo’d 3D Big Gold replica on WWEShop to be the most appealing to me, probably because it at least has the right width of each letter and is on the blocker side. That being said, I much prefer the font used on the Fandu Luxe compared to whatever the hell the WCW pancake replica on WWEShop uses as its font.
I didn’t realize the strap would be an issue until this video, though. Holy balls, this is bad. I know Fandu and AJ’s Belts are in cahoots, so that likely explains the terrible strap. But for $800…… the BIGGEST of yikes there. Thankfully the plates are absolutely marvelous regardless of my own personal gripes about it.
I think I’ll stick to my original Fandu Gunmetal Big Gold replica though. That thing, to me, is a thing of beauty.
I'm legit looking at purchasing one. But if im about to drop that kind of money on a belt, what makes the gunmetal better than this lux version if you don't mind me asking?
@@ericcloutier8387 it’s all down to personal preference, really. I’m a small person, so the size of all Fandu’s Big Gold replicas are perfect for me. And, I just love the contrast between the bright and shiny gold of the filigree, and the darkness of the gunmetal background. Combined with the red strap, it’s a real beautiful combo in my opinion.

Eventually Fandu is going to finally make an accurate crumrine replica. You know how companies do, it's a process, they give you Mario 1 until you finally get to Mario 3 at last. WWE is doing the same thing to their customers. The only thing companies rely on is people buying the products. Because you gotta by the belts for the company to stay in business or just go all out and get a Classic Shields.
They are die casted. Dan told me that. I the first ones was gold and silver painted. Now they look to be plated in silver and gold?

I just got this and had and ORM as well. The plates stand up to ORMs quality however the strap sucks. ORM is real leather and this is vinyl. The difference in price though makes this belt worth it.

I have the antique big gold from Fandu (Christmas last year) and I was blown away...love the look and your right, it's one heavy s.o.b....8mm thick. Looking for a NWA US and NWA TV title now...
It's such a nice belt.
My complaints with this belt :
• The delivery took too much time then what they claimed
• The leather just can't keep up with the quality of the plates

I am considering getting one of these luxe edition Crumrines. I already have a premium Crumrine from Classic Shields on order, but am considering getting one of these just so I can spray paint "NWO" on it. There is no way in hell I'd be defacing the Classic Shields premium Crumrine with spray paint. But $800USD (plus the cost of a re-leather) is still a hefty price to pay just so I can have a second one to spray paint "NWO" on lol.

Hi Paul. I got the NWA title belt from MOC Belts and the plates are dirty looking. Can I use Brasso to bring out the shiny gold look to it or what would you recommend?
If the letters in W O R L D W R E S T L I N G H E A V Y W E I G H T C H A M P I O N S H I P were closer/connected like on the Original it would be almost PERFECT!

This is why I have big problems with Fandu's big golds. It's not the fact that they're crap, they're not, they're good but it's mainly down to the pricing AND the straps that you get with it. I think for a regular one it's $300-$500 depending which one you get i.e. Backlund WWWF title or WWF Tag Title (the one that WWE has started selling on their shops), Andre WWF '86 (I think it was '86 or '87) and NWA/WCW Big Gold and then if you're wanting the "luxe" big golds, you're paying at least $300-$400 more and then I think it's something like $15 on top for the nameplate if you wanted a customised nameplate!
If you think this is good, you should do a review of the Fandu Backlund gold belt. It's amazing!!! Same as this strap, but the plates are amazing!!!

Yeah I was trying not to be too harsh but for a belt touted as their most premium version the strap is very poor so I had to be honest.

The plates on the original Fandu big gold are smaller than the Luxe edition. Plus the font on the name plate is more accurate to the original crumrine.
You need to look at comparison pics. The plates are way better and way more accurate on the new luxe version. It’s definitely more than just the strap which is different
