The main beauty of toram is that it heavily gives significance to progression in order to deliver to reward the players with enjoyment and satisfaction. I think many players can relate to this, the game is VERY beginner unfriendly and the game will kick you really hard in the family jewels at the start (this is untrue for experienced players making a new account though, since they probably know how to use mercs to speed through the main quest and also the best ways to earn ingame currency). Although after that phase, it becomes smooth sailing and you get sucked into the endless void of "How do I make my character stronger?", "How does my character fare against that boss", "Can I make a unique build?" so on and so forth. The game drives off most of the players that don't have much time to invest or need an immediate experience in order to enjoy the game, since toram requires a lot of time to learn about the countless mechanics and such in order to get into the game. For mobile, I would say that toram is the best mmorpg in terms of pure mechanics, gameplay and customization. But in pc, there are way better ones no doubt. It's kinda fair in a way since it's just like an pc port of an mobile game, so also expect mobile content and experience. The game is also very old now and is still pretty active now (specially exactly now because of 7th anniversary, filled channels and chatter) so gotta give them credit for that despite being a small company that doesn't utilize ads.

I've with the game for 5years now and I felt exactly the same as you do as a beginner. There are tons of customisation and alot of things to grind and get you hooked but it's not properly introduced or given a heads up, so you really need to dig up or learn from the rich community. It was just revealed/discovered/introduced to me in the mid part of the game. Things like housing, farming, cooking, pet systems, crafting, production, synthesis, making money, mini games, secondary classes, skill mixing, combo system, companion system, flexibility on game progress and variety of ways to level up, side quests, main quest line, events, guild stuffs, regislet, stargems, and many others. On top of that fishing, pvp and others that will be added later on. I was hesitant to play this then but I pursue because of companion system why I searched the game for. I eventually hooked up on other contents too. The starters usually given the most boring part of the game that's why it always give that impression. One thing I regret the first time I played it was not registering an asobimo account so I start all over again on my new device 🤦♂️🤣.
As long as you keep advancing on this game you can actually see that the combat escalates on difficult and speed, now you can dodge manually (with a button that gives you a dash) block attacks and there is A LOT of skills three that you can get and use even if those skills were not supposed to be in your class, for example if you wanna be a mage/assasin YOU CAN, believe me you don't saw anything of the full content that this game offerts.
you cannot "be whatever you want" on this game unless you know what you're doing. if you fucked up building your character, then enjoy your scrap build for a year until they announce a free reset event. And there is effect penalty for using other class skill like decrease the amount of buff or increase the effect of debuff. but I agree on higher level the fight gets intense and fun. and dont try to sugar coat it by saying "anything of the full content that this game offerts". we know that 70% of the game is about farming and trading so you can get a full 2 slotted equipments. the rest is just bossing either event bosses, high difficulty hunting or guild raid(this one is awesome and fun tho)
I am only proud of my Dark Samurai xD It's basically a Katana character with Ninja and Dark skill. It's fun to play with but I'm not op yet cause I can afford 2s or +S equipment yet xD I play very lil due to irl busy with studies...
I have 600 hours in this game and the most fun I had was when i met a few people at hora diomedea (one of the main cities in the game) and we spent like 1 hour just messing around with emotes, doing weird dances and chatting for a bit, i remember encountering one of them months later in a Early game area (we were leveling up new characters) and we grinded together for a while. The social aspect of the game is definitely very good despite also being a bit upsetting time to time (rude ppl) and I feel like that's the whole point of the game, since there is no pvp, you can play however you want (your only competition os yourself). For me other very fun part of the game is the boss fights, in your grind to lvl up journey you will face many different bosses, each with it's own gimmick of singularities, each with it's own pattern. When i started playing I decided to play as tank (NOT very begginer friendly DEFINITELY DO NOT DO THIS) and I had to learn the pattern of every boss since they are all different from each other (some have lots of aoe's some less, some take more physical damage, some have more difficult Movesets when stunned, etc) Overall very fun game and not very gacha so that's the most important part in my opinion, there's nothing in this game that you cant get without spending money, as long as you either wait or grind enough (and there's a lot of that) and exploring each mechanic of the game and developing your own Playstile is very very fun.
well among other MMOs only Toram so Far can be considered as Grind To win and atleast the only time you will spend real money on it is if you'll buy avatars or the Piercers, but for f2ps they can just wait for events to earn those atleast or if they are really not lazy to do dungeons they can get 1 orb or Ticket every month thru dungeon
Toram Online is a good MMORPG game that none auto and pay to win, those other MMORPG games was full of auto or pay to win, that you just watch your charater lvling or some people is better than other players because they pay more for games. but if you want to pay to win in Toram Online, you can trade to other for better equipments or Spina (money in game) with real money (Real money trade or RMT between players in Toram online is against the rule, you may get ban if GM or admin found out, all stuff in inventory and Spina will get delete, and will unable to trade again inclubing Market) but even you have best equipments in the game, you also need skill play and party with you, because in the late game bosses are deadly, they come with a ton of HP around 10M+ HP and high DEF/MDEF, also they have very wide and fast AoE Attack that have deadly damage, some bosses will spam deadly normal attacks on you (Normal attacks is the auto-lock attack, you can't dodge those by walk away, to dodge those you need to evade them in perfect timing)

I remembered years ago, that was christmas, wherein I dressed a christmas avatar and then I gave some of my spare +S weapons and armors (highest tier) with good stats to some newbies that I'd helped. I also gave them items like rings, capes, etc. and money about 1M. Well now not anymore because I'm not that super active like I used to be but I still keep on making some cooking buffs. My first guild that I joined was very active. We spent a lot together leveling up, farming materials and sell them, making weapons and armors, etc. Years passed and the guild becomes dead like every member were active 99+ days ago. Some were quit because of irl problems like family, work, etc. while others got bored or joined from other guilds with their friends. Right now, the guild that I joined is the 5th guild and yeah I'm still helping newbies if I have some spare time.
3 years into the game and im still in love with it. They finally got rid of a lot of annoying things buf ofc there's still plenty of issues as well in the game like the in game currency inflation as well as skill levels that has minimum levels that are too high making it slightly not beginner friendly. You really want to have good friends here in order to keep coming back cuz it can be pretty harsh at times for newer players

@@jekesan4221 If you have the patience then yes its gotten better, they basically add a pity system in every equip u refine, every accumulated points will increase ur success rate so u should be able to hit +S in like an hour if u r that dedicated xd. Thanks to this people just spam mithril till it goes S and dont care about anti degs and orichalcum, its the cheapest but the longest method lmaoo. Usually it takes about 4 stacks of mithril ores for me to reach +S on non slotted equips
Toram is like a comfort game for me i stopped playing it multiple times to play other games but i never uninstalled it and everytime i come back i just immedietely get absorbed again been on this for years now the game just gives so much freedom to the players, tho in my opinion themost interesting thing in the game is the player market, and how the players decide how much an item should cost and how prices inflate or deflate depending on the relevancy of an item. honestly give it another shot it gets more fun the more you progress. (ps try and rope a friend to play with you, its just more fun yelling at each other playing😆)
This is my first and my only mmo game that i will play, when in a newbie i was planning to quit since i got nothing to do but when someone invited me to their guild everything was changed i learn a lot from them and started to enjoy the game ❤️.
Try to give chance for end game. The customization like changing the color of your armors/weapon. The class meta, the difficulty of playing on bosses, etc. The most friendly game for free to play players. Most players also help newbies.

I also like how you have to grind for exp and other stuff just like the old rpgs. In-app purchases are mostly for avatars/skins. You can play and advance to late game and enjoy the game without spending $. There's also weekly codes and monthly event rewards for orbs/items
Seven years into the game. Just like other MMORPGs, Toram is grindy but is quite relaxing and you can play it at your own pace so you can spend time here when you got nothing to do. The endgame is vastly different from early game though, and combat much more fast paced. Content is not locked by cash, and there is no auto path and doesn't play by itself. What made me stay is the skill system and combat mechanics. I find it hard to look for a game that is similar or to it, something better than this. Toram hits the right spot for me even with this kind of graphics.
i honestly prefer the look of older MMO's. yeah, the modern graphically focused MMO's look cool, but there are so many particle effects on the screen you can't even tell what's happening
I clicked on this video for 2 reasons, 1. I love toram, and consuming toram content, been playing for a year and it is definitely fun if you like the social and customization aspect, also if u wanna mess around with builds, I've seen mages tanking, sword mages, paladins, pure tanks and people who deal 7m damage; 2. You put one of my friends in your thumbnail, Hanjie u got featured in a yt video XD
The Endgame of this game is actually really fun. Mostly because you can combine different skill trees and make different combos to deal the maximum amount of damage and changing the combo to suit the boss that you are fighting as almost all of them will kill you in one shot so learning the boss pattern and it's hidden conditions is a priority. The only downside that I can say is that getting stronger in this game is really hard especially if your a beginner I have 400 hours in this game and yet I still can't call myself strong infront of the OG players as good Equipment in this game cost around 30m-100m per piece. And grinding 1m could take you hours depending if you have a farm character.

Very Awsome game ( NO LOCK CLASS ) and Community is lovely np ^~^ All can be editable and customized. From character creations and to weapons and armor, Stats and colors. Farm is also easy collecting them all^^ Avatars and more...Or do COSPLAY on your favourite Chars. Pets to hunt and fusion for there own build aswel, cooking for buffs, etc...land creations, combos setups, and build class ...it can be mixed up on your own playing styles. Enjoyable ^-^)b. Trade systems and mails smooth and easy~
toram is the king of customization, you can set atk speed and montion speed or even cast speed when your character wants to be fast, or be as hard as steel with max HP and resistance, or become a glass cannon with focus on offensive stats only, toram gives us a very weak character at the beginning so you get a "character development" experience. toram's drawback is the lack of instructions for beginners.
I think the beauty of toram comes from infinity customizable build, you can create mamy build crossover many job and skill to make your own build(although most people choose meta)
ive been playing this game since 2015, i really recommend this one to play with friends of look for a group online, i quit because i was already in end game with 4 character all max, i found my new home now guild wars 2. but toram online will always be my favorite game
I would say the game is 6/10 for me without any bias here Sure it doesnt have auto and give you the old nostalgic mmo feeling but it got tons of serious problems that the dev tend to overlook
What i dislike about all Asobimo games is how they almost ALWAYS suffer from power creep later on in the game. First 2 or 3 years playing is fine but eventually you start to notice that new players struggle more and more to get over the learning curb and the gap between them and old players. This becomes such a big problem that eventually the game is unable to attract new players, just old players making new accounts. Iruna had same issue, Avabel had same issue and now Toram has it too. The games force you to break the game rules and do real world trading, risking a ban, just so you can have end game gear and do hardest bosses. Only alternative is VERY VERY long grinds with limited chance to get items you need for late game. This is the problem i find with ALL Asobimo game, they force you to break rules in late game.
Not enough content???... I am still lvling and currently at 190 and there is still so much I do not know... I get this is a first impression but seriously, don't say that it lack content unless you have gone in depth with the game rather than just do the quest line and reach lvl 40. Even just trying to figure out my build is complex enough. Also not to mention the regular events in the game that enable player to get lovely powerful unique gear and have unique story line that are actually fun.
To be honest the real content only start at level 150 so yeah, thats also what I thought when I started playing the game (back then there is no tier 4 skill).
On the steam page it says 10gig. Probably just for PC. Another source said 50 megabits for the android. If memory serves, I think the game downloaded content as needed. Sorry for not having a good straight forward answer atm. Anyone have a better answer for this question?
I never got into this on mobile (just not as into touch screen gaming) but ever since I first tried it I wanted to play it on PC so I think I'm gonna try it today
I really like this game it's chill i have playing almost 5 years now and yup the community is good often time i just party with random people, and endup playing like 3~5 hour do anything farming, doing some regis or just doing random shit at main city ,, i highly recommend this game and uncan just playing on your off time it always welcoming

The currency inflation that started 3 years ago was the reason I quitted 💀, the items that i farmed and crafted tanked really hard

What made me stay is the skill system and combat mechanics. I find it hard to look for a game that is similar or to it, something better than this. Toram hits the right spot for me even with this kind of graphics.
If I can fit it on my phone I'll try it. I just don't like the char models tho but...
i honestly prefer the look of older MMO's. yeah, the modern graphically focused MMO's look cool, but there are so many particle effects on the screen you can't even tell what's happening

I clicked on this video for 2 reasons,
1. I love toram, and consuming toram content, been playing for a year and it is definitely fun if you like the social and customization aspect, also if u wanna mess around with builds, I've seen mages tanking, sword mages, paladins, pure tanks and people who deal 7m damage;
2. You put one of my friends in your thumbnail, Hanjie u got featured in a yt video XD
I've been playing for 4 years now and I can say this game has been one giving me lots of things to do.
The Endgame of this game is actually really fun. Mostly because you can combine different skill trees and make different combos to deal the maximum amount of damage and changing the combo to suit the boss that you are fighting as almost all of them will kill you in one shot so learning the boss pattern and it's hidden conditions is a priority.
The only downside that I can say is that getting stronger in this game is really hard especially if your a beginner I have 400 hours in this game and yet I still can't call myself strong infront of the OG players as good Equipment in this game cost around 30m-100m per piece. And grinding 1m could take you hours depending if you have a farm character.

@@LordGlarpoh no... End game is about 800+ hours. This is where blacksmithing starts (blacksmithing is hilariously broken... Pretty rewarding once you reach this part).

Once you finally get player statted gears and full critical rate, you get addicted to this for sure.
Very Awsome game ( NO LOCK CLASS ) and Community is lovely np ^~^ All can be editable and customized. From character creations and to weapons and armor, Stats and colors. Farm is also easy collecting them all^^ Avatars and more...Or do COSPLAY on your favourite Chars. Pets to hunt and fusion for there own build aswel, cooking for buffs, etc...land creations, combos setups, and build class ...it can be mixed up on your own playing styles. Enjoyable ^-^)b. Trade systems and mails smooth and easy~

toram is the king of customization, you can set atk speed and montion speed or even cast speed when your character wants to be fast, or be as hard as steel with max HP and resistance, or become a glass cannon with focus on offensive stats only, toram gives us a very weak character at the beginning so you get a "character development" experience. toram's drawback is the lack of instructions for beginners.
I think the beauty of toram comes from infinity customizable build, you can create mamy build crossover many job and skill to make your own build(although most people choose meta)

ive been playing this game since 2015, i really recommend this one to play with friends of look for a group online, i quit because i was already in end game with 4 character all max, i found my new home now guild wars 2. but toram online will always be my favorite game

I would say the game is 6/10 for me without any bias here
Sure it doesnt have auto and give you the old nostalgic mmo feeling but it got tons of serious problems that the dev tend to overlook
What i dislike about all Asobimo games is how they almost ALWAYS suffer from power creep later on in the game.
First 2 or 3 years playing is fine but eventually you start to notice that new players struggle more and more to get over the learning curb and the gap between them and old players.
This becomes such a big problem that eventually the game is unable to attract new players, just old players making new accounts.
Iruna had same issue, Avabel had same issue and now Toram has it too.
The games force you to break the game rules and do real world trading, risking a ban, just so you can have end game gear and do hardest bosses.
Only alternative is VERY VERY long grinds with limited chance to get items you need for late game.
This is the problem i find with ALL Asobimo game, they force you to break rules in late game.

Not enough content???... I am still lvling and currently at 190 and there is still so much I do not know... I get this is a first impression but seriously, don't say that it lack content unless you have gone in depth with the game rather than just do the quest line and reach lvl 40. Even just trying to figure out my build is complex enough. Also not to mention the regular events in the game that enable player to get lovely powerful unique gear and have unique story line that are actually fun.
To be honest the real content only start at level 150 so yeah, thats also what I thought when I started playing the game (back then there is no tier 4 skill).
Also theres always an event in Toram every month that some are happening on the same month so yeah toram has ton sht of content

On the steam page it says 10gig. Probably just for PC. Another source said 50 megabits for the android. If memory serves, I think the game downloaded content as needed.

On mobile, It'll be around 1-2gb on average with additional data already accounted for. I have no knowledge about this on the steam version though.

well among other MMOs only Toram so Far can be considered as Grind To win and atleast the only time you will spend real money on it is if you'll buy avatars or the Piercers, but for f2ps they can just wait for events to earn those atleast or if they are really not lazy to do dungeons they can get 1 orb or Ticket every month thru dungeon
You can actually buy stuff like Piercers and extraction crystas thru players with the in-game currency actually
