For those who are new keep on doing story till the end and also if you struggle with the boss just escape first the go to the boss again and click the arrow at difficulity(the left one)
Let Pelulu attack first then wait a bit away from the red AOE -- make sure the mercenary doesn't step on that area. The AOE from the mobs nearby will rekt mercs in one shot. Once the big-ass AOE is gone, start attacking. The rest depends on you.
Bow is a a must, because in this game the only useable skill 3 just snipe(lvl 3 bow skill) and zantei (lvl 3 katana skill). Bow can deal huge damage to the enemy and can ignore enemy defense. You can use bow for leveling faster then any other job. But, if the enemy have high mobility like wandering wheel or carbuncle its kinda hard to use skill 4 (Crossfire)
My recommendation is to make your first main either a Bow or Katana but Bow is more preferable. The best thing about MQ in Toram now, is if you push through it to the end, it lets you unlock T4 skills which makes Katana and Bows better. After you push through MQ, you can either reset that 1st character into a Mage Luck character or make a new character for Mage Luck. Tbh I would highly recommend you'd make your first character a Mage Luck but I reckon you'd want your first character to be dps. Farming and grinding for money is everything in this game so making a farmer character is very important if you want to get good gears, especially since the market is player driven and a lot of great NPC equipments are either boss drops or event locked. Getting to T5 would most likely be the hardest part of your time but it can be a breeze if you spam EXP books or if you're lucky enough to get a free adventure diary from livestreams (Adventure Diaries let your reset MQ so that's a ton of free exp). There's a free Adv diary in the Altadar challenge, but you need someone to carry you in a Duo, luckily players sell their services for a hefty price (around 2m from what I noticed).
I would start the game farming for spinas if I were starting from zero. Magic device not as a supporter but as a farmer. I would choose the magic device which is not on the list so the selection would be staff and put everything in LUK and INT and level 10 magic storm when I reach level 80 to start the game farming and getting lots of spinas to buy two slot weapons with refine +S and xtal someday and build a super strong dps later.
Based on personal experience, I don't recommend using staff as 1st choice. Reason: casting time and staff isn't a range weapon until unlocking lv3 skill, also after lv150, it is almost impossible to do solo run with your latest unlocked skill. The other weapon I don't recommend is katana. Reason: it's fun but you really have to learn how to use the skill properly
I agree with video, but quick tip: Two hand sword can equip Magic Device as a sub weapon. If you’re new and choose to play with this weapon combo later on then you need to buy the Book of Magic Warrior to have access to some very good skills i must say.
Just checked right now two handed sword cannot equip a magic device sub, theres a reason why two handed sword cannot gain the enchanted burst buff to activate reunion sword it only activates if you have a magic device sub.
@@MaxxPowerGaming This is like the Mandela effect, i couldve sworn they could use MD and that was like why people were doing 2h enchanted burst builds. But i guess they didnt have to use MD for it, huh.
@@madmantheepic7278 There are people who use the magic warrior skills on 2hs despite not having access to reunion. Union by itself has a very high skill constant and multiplier when compared to other 2hs and sword skills. The obvious downside is they suffer from the long start up animation.
I would recommend new player make bs tank or any tank as their first character because tank is pretty needed in any lvling spot accept from lvl 1-56...I myself been struggling to unlock tier 5 skill thus making my character damage out put really low as new player. And also getting gear for other weapon class is so hard for new player because they won't be able to generate spina during their early game
I wouldn't recommend any new player pick tank for the simple reason that most of their equipment are locked behind specific events or very high levels and are required to know boss patterns and how direct & global aggro is generated. Blacksmith tanks/dps are endgame characters they are considerably weaker and require expensive equipment to make work. The best class to start off if your not a solo player is bow, it doesn't require a large budget to work its very easy to obtain elemental damage(literally just change out arrows) you don't need 6 different bows to gain elemental damage. Best solo class to start off without knowing much is knight/paladin which is a one handed sword + shield build, best class to start off when your an experienced player either katana or knuckle for solo. You can check out my other video on how to gain spina optimally(I even list player market prices, whether its worth your time, and I even list every single farmer class in the game) Edit for specifics of tank gear(Without these types of gears you will either die all the time or fail to capture the bosses attention): Armor - lil empress garb(rare drop you have to beat venena nm/ulti you will be close to level 200), Water priest robe(level 260), Winter outfit(Christmas event locked) Shields - Rock dragon shield(level 250 only effective if your a motion tank) or 8th anniv VI(only unlocked during anniv event). farmer and bs are the the most important chars in all game, but early game u don need neither, early char is a mq clear thing, most mq can be done by mercs, mq's mostly the only thing u can do to progress, unless u leech or be crarried by friends, soo in the end u'will do it till get 150, when u get decent dmg skills. honestly its not worth to focus on nothing that its not mq, u'll just wasting yor time, cuz it'll require massive farm and game knowledge @@dsenvy
