Great idea to draw it first on paper, I recently bought some water soluble paper if you want to do 2D work and you draw your delight first on the paper.

Cannon bone is the name of that bone :) and those pads are just called heels , like the heel of your hand :) Thank you for this video. I am a horse trainer that is just starting needle felting , so this is great!

So useful! (actually the hoof shouldn't flare out but we typically see that in shod horses, and its called 'flare', the hoof wall is separating from the laminae that fix it to the pedal bone inside). Horses that are never shod have much shorter, smaller hooves than shod horses usually have)
