instructions unclear i threw my cube collection in the incinerator
chatgpt is that you?
I threw a gan-12 free play, 2 super meilong and my gan-14 m pro at a wall... Intrusive thoughts won.
it took me 2 years to become sub 30 and you're telling me.. you did sub 10 in 8 months? wow
Thanks!
Sub 10 took me 3 years, this man is on another level
He said in the video he started cubing a year ago,and hes already sub 10! Hes actually cracked
The fact that you are sub 10 is very good, no matter how long it takes!
Man sub-12 took me 7 years lol
I reached sub 15 in one year,so who knows i might be sub 10 by the end of this year
Bro I’ve been cubing for 7 years and I’m only sub 11 but I’ve been stuck at averaging 10 seconds for around 1-2 years
Dude, why is this actually so good?? All the important information presented in a practical way in a single video that isn't 40 minutes long!
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it!
@@tobyseufert you know what would be cool? Something like this……. but for EVERY EVENT (ie 10 on squan 3 on pyra 4 on skewb 2 on 2x2 40 on 4x4 1 min on 5x5)
This is the content the speedcubing community needs ! ✅
Thanks!
i was stuck on sub 14 for a over a year this video actually helped me on my next steps
No-nonsense guides are my favourites and this one is especially helpful! Thanks!
Me too, glad it helped!
W now i can be sub 10! Fr good video though
Sub 10 bld 💀
sub 10 average at wide bay!? thanks too
Great vid Toby. This is one of the best guides out there.
Thanks so much, I'm glad you liked it!
Okay this has to be one of the best tutorials I have ever seen. Keep this up bro💪
Thanks so much!
This was a great guide! Thanks!
Glad you liked it!
This is a great guide, i average about 15 seconds so this really helped, congrats on sub 10!
Thanks, glad I could help!
your video is incredible. it made me realize all the mistakes i have done over the past few years, and it made me thinck abt how i want to aproach my practice today, given that a have so much to relearn. the sub 10 took too much, but with this knowledge, i am sure i will get to sub 8 and past even. thank you my bro. saludos de argentina
Thanks so much, that means a lot. Glad I could help!
Super helpful video, thanks! 😃
Thanks!
Great video Toby!
Thanks Elijah!
if bro works harder he can easily be as hood as j perm
hope yoh reach your goals❤
Good vid my guy! Def deserve more than 1k subs T_T
Thanks!
great vid! ive learnt all of the skills you have said except for planning first pair in inspection, which for me is very hard and i have been trying for about a year. i am sub 11 but i will keep practicing for sub 10 :)
Thanks, cross+1 is a hard thing to start doing, but it really helps you solve times!
I feel like it can definitely depend on your age bc It would be a lot harder to reach sub 10 if you start at 30 than when you start at 11. But having a growth mindset and actually believing that I can reach sub x goal helps out a lot because if you fully believe in being able to do something then it can more likely happen. Which is how the growth mindset works. Personally I think a lot more people can achieve sub 10. It’s just that I had a lot of people get intimidated by it or don’t want to put the work in. Bc a part of it is how your brain basically rewires itself into the person that cant reach sub 10 which is why a lot of those people do t reach that.
Very true, I agree! Great points.
You are Really Underrated
Thanks!
Congrats on national Champion (I was there), thank you so much for this amazing legit guide
Thanks, no problem!
I have been cubing for 7 months and I am now sub 25
Ngl, I was mad surprised after watching the video- the information is actually useful and concise-
Thanks!
@@tobyseufert Nah, thank you bro- You actually point out in your video what can be done to improve without being confusing
This vid was so helpful and helped me get to sub 15 so far. Hope I’ll get to sub10 soon
Thanks, keep up the great work!
I’m already sub-10 and it took me about 1.5 years, but this is still really helpful to get me to improve!
That's great! Hopefully you can continue to improve!
Thank you after learning 1 look cube I instantly become sun 4.3 with ur guide❤❤🎉😮🎉😅😂😮
👏Nice Video!
Thanks!
Thank you so much!!!
Glad you liked it!
@@tobyseufert yeah, it was really helpful because I now know what I have to do to be sub 10. Do you also have any tips to managing comp nerves?
Maybe you willdo series where you analize our solves and say what to do better?
Very good video!
Thanks Josh!
Helps a lot. I am hanging around a 10 or an 11 average rn.
Great to here, keep up the good work!
I have a comp in July of 2025, and I 'm hoping to get a sub 10 average by then. I was doubhting whether I could so thank you so so much, I'm subscribing!
Rn I average 14-15 seconds
Good luck, I think you can definitely achieve that! Thanks for the sub too!
ive cubed through GCSEs and now A levels for 1.25 years and im sub 11 with no strategic practice and i still dont know full OLL so i really dont need to watch this but its fun to see how others got fast at cubing and its insane how quick you did it considering people think how long it took me to gets sub 12 (a bit less than a year but i havent practiced nearly as much since) is insane, I wonder if i could be as fast as you as quick if i actually practiced properly and had more spare time
I think with the right practice and enough time, you can definitely get very fast, as can anyone with the right mindset!
you should be among the best youcubers this is amazimg
Thanks!
Hello Tobey, this is a very helpful video, my major problem is my cross I know Advance Cross Technique but my solutions are not good I have tried to improve it but I'm stuck , what should I do to improve my cross solutions.
Yo we do the same V Perm alg!
Cool vid, food for thought for many
Cool, thanks!
if your struggling to master f2l, a trick i learned is to do some practice f2l solves, and whenever you get stuck or inefficiently solve a pair, stop the solve, find the correct solution online, and continue until your f2l is flawless!
I agree, this works great!
doing F2L solves helped my cross-solution be better and also improved my look-ahead a lot (I practiced F2L for 45 minutes a day for 1 month)
Plz make vid for sub 7 and advanced techniques like frut stuff and jss
Lol, you have asked the same question to JamieCuber
My brain is not brining
bro thumbnail is fire
Thanks, I decided to try something new and it worked
Another very useful source beside watching example solves is watching solve critics of other people at your level, Brina Sun made a lot of these.
Yeah, that's another good way of finding weaknesses
Can you make a video on Advance cross and planning 1st pair... Please :)
I already have one, this is the link: th-cam.com/video/JCrL8N_d1qs/w-d-xo.html
Sorry the video quality is really bad I had no idea what I was doing when I made this video :(
How long should i take to be sub-10 considering i average around 15-19 and im starting to learn advanced F2L? Great video btw
It depends on how much you practice, but I'd say probably anywhere between 4 months to 1 year
I'm sub-30 in 4 months, hope I'll get to sub-10 1 day 🙏
I'm sure you will, keep at it!
getting better is relatively easy, just stop doing solves after solces after solves. learn more algs and more efficient fingertricks. and most important for fast time is efficient f2l + cross
Agreed
You should make "How to be Sub-8" next
I might do at some point in the future, but probably not for a while yet.
Cool now please make “How to get a 0.63 official 2x2 single” next
ill do it rn:
step 1 get a speedcube
step 2 get a 4mover
step 3 dont saftey
step 4 dont +2
step 5 dont dnf
step 6 actually react
happy?
🤯🤯🤯
I can’t believe you actually made it
What about look ahead?
Im sub 20 and have giant pauses. Also do you do cubing lessons?
I'd say at that speed it would be best to focus more on your solutions for F2L pairs and solving your F2L pairs into the back slots, rather than focusing on lookahead. It's just something to add on once you have good solutions. And no sorry, I don't do cubing lessons at the moment.
Sub-7 tutorial pls!
It would be good to make, but I feel like it would be a lot of similar content and very niche, so I'm not sure if I'll make it
@@tobyseufertyes but there is no tutorial on TH-cam beyond any barriers after sub 10
@@VKCUBED Kian Mansour have made a video about it but it's about Roux method 😢
@@kidsartandcraft9801 crazy to think roux has more resources for beyond sub 10 than cfop.
@@kidsartandcraft9801 roux has more resources beyond sub 10 thean cfop.😶
Any tips for low/sub 8?
Honestly, all the tips mentioned in this video apply to pretty much any speed barrier past sub 10, so I'd say just keep at it and you'll get there soon enough!
I’m right know sub 30-20 I hope this helps thanks if this works!😅
Awesome, I hope it works too!
watching this while sub 15 roux, hmmmmmmm
feeling blessed, can't believe i'm getting to learn cubing from mark zuckerberg himself! :p
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it!
Step 0: be 30 years younger than me
does knowing zbll early help? I know all 2 corner ones at sub13
I think so definitely
I'd say once your sub 10 learning some zbll is definitely worth it, but you don't need to do it too early
@@tobyseufert I did it for fun. I'm good at learning algs so i finsihed it off today so i know all 2 corner algs
@tobyseufert I'd say the contrary because the more you wait the harder it is to introduce them.
Wow I took 12 months to be sub ten
That's amazing, great job!
44.146 PLL time attack is bad for doing 1-2 seconds per PLL, right?
It depends, what do you average?
@@tobyseufert right now, around 14-15. I haven't gotten much faster over the last 2 years
@@tobyseufert right now, around 14-15. I haven't gotten much faster over the last 2 years
how old were you when you started cubing?
11 I think
wh- why am I watching this I'm already sub-10💀
Some of the stuff mentioned in the video should still apply to your improvement going forward!
bruh my pb is 11.57 seconds IM SO CLOSE 😭
You'll get there soon!
wow im sub 10 now
no way really?
wait didn't you Win Aussie nats?
Yes, I did!
@@tobyseufert Oh that's awesome!
I started cubing 4 months ago and I’m sub 14. I started at the start of december
Wow, that's amazing! Keep at it and you'll be sub 8 before you know it!
@@tobyseufert
Technically, i started it when i was a kid and learned how to solve it in like 3 minutes and gave up, forgot everything lol. so idk if it counts as extra practice time???
Hope to be sub 10 soon I’m currently sub 16🥲
You'll get there soon!
